DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE! I went in about a week ago to get a new Bluetooth module in my car. After all said and done it cost me $372 for a $150 part and and a terrible install. After a week of having the Bluetooth module my left speaker goes out ONLY when I'm trying to play my Bluetooth. I went back in to tell SAM the owner and he tried to make it seem like the module is fine and my speaker went out so he was going to try and sell me a new pair but I refused and asked for the module to be checked out. I arrived at 10am and it took the Install Guy 2 HOURS just to find the module because the other install person wasn't there. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR AND WILL TEAR IT TOO PIECES!!! EVERYONE WAS VERY RUDE!! The first install guy who was going to fix it, the first words out of his mouth were "So what's your complaint?" Instead of giving me any amount of customer service he was the biggest douchebag in the world about it because they didn't install it in the first place!!! NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MOMEY!!! read more

Fair price . Another shop quoted 500 for install plus viper alarm and a module. This shop did it for 350 on a Sunday. I figured the install will be minimum 170 dollars plus the parts ; it's a reasonable price. I'm in HVAC and I understand the tediousness of running wires and setting up the simple alarm. Anyone who's crying about labor price is unreasonable. I read some reviews after I made the deal and I see that people don't understand that if something costs x on amazon, they want it installed and priced the same. You get what you pay for. read more

RIP OFF Beware!!! I just went here to get a quote for a system that should cost no more than $1500.00 owner quoted me over $3200.00. The sad part about it is he is trying to over charge and I have given him business with two cars and two semi trucks in the past. He was not willing to negotiate at all. I also have a new truck that I wanted him to take care of. He just lost a loyal customer because he wants to be greedy. My advice to anyone is get a second opinion I bet you, you will get better pricing somewhere else as well as better service. ***two hours later.......I went to another stereo place and got more equipment installed than stereo 1 and paid $1400.00 waaaay better deal! Don't waste your hard earned money go somewhere else. I see Sam tried to make up an excuse below as to why his prices are more. He says I went somewhere else and got a cheaper system. That is not true I would never buy a cheap system, I never buy cheap systems that's why I went in there asking for top of the line. The system that I got was just as good if not better than what Sam offered. And I got more equipment for way less than Sam offered like I said before Sam your a rip off! read more

I have been a customer with Stereo 1 since 2005 and their excellent service has not changed for me since then. In 2005, I had a tube subwoofer transferred from my old car to new one. They got it done quickly within the hour and securely strapped it into the trunk. They even organized all the wires and cleaned up the trunk! After my tube-sub broke down in 2009 (note that I did not buy this tube-sub from them directly but had it for 8 years prior), I went back to them with a new car in 2010 and asked to get an amp/sub installed. I was very skeptical when I walked in because I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but the guys working there were very welcoming and patient. I let them know my budget and they hooked me up with a new amp/sub/box which I bought from them in-store. They got the job finished within 2 hours as promised. When I went to pick up my car, it definitely sounded very different. I asked them to make some adjustments and felt like I was being really picky about everything but again, they were patient and fixed it up without any hesitation. Took me about a day to get used to the new Sub and I realized that I had forgotten how awesome music can sound; I can never go back to regular audio! I felt that the only downside was that they would try to sell me more expensive things or not let me know what many other products/options were available. I let them know my budget and they just showed me one or two products within that budget range rather than asking me if I was looking for anything in particular in regards to sound/depth. Either way, I am very happy with their overall service. I am reassured knowing that if any problems come up with my amp/sub, I can just drive back to Stereo 1 and they will get the problem fixed. read more

This is not the place to go get your stereo system. I went in to get a sub and an amp for my car and the guy totally tried to rip me off. They have a lot of off brand products that they try to sell for more than retail. I was told I could get an amp for $129 at the store, sure enough I looked it up and it was half the price somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, I believe that they probably provide pretty good service after the fact, but if you are looking to get quality products and not get screwed over in prices, this is not the place. read more

Came in to get my JL HD amp and W7 sub installed and tuned in my BMW X4. Big stereo shop, looks very professional. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Very fair prices if you talk about them. Unfortunately my experience didn't end on a positive note. Sub sounded HORRIBLE. It was only rattling and clipping without quality reproduction of sound I was looking for. Turns out there was a number of mistakes made like gain was set too high; and some other tuning mistakes but worst of all they wired it out-of-phase of my factory underseat woofers (connected the RCA cables black to red and red to black) which took me 4 days to figure out why I had a massive hole in midbass (sound frequencies of opposite polarity cancel each other). On the bright side they did a very clean custom bracket install and cable management was on point and I might still come back for something else so I'm giving it 3-stars read more

I came here to get my 4 speakers on my VW replaced with some Bose speakers That I had already bought. They shot offers of new speakers and I thought Eh whatever I'll get the new speakers and even a new radio. All installed and they said it would take 1 1/2 hours.... 3 1/2 hours later I ask how much longer and the owner re assures me just 20min. I have no problem with that. An hour more goes by and I ask again and he tells me again just 20min more. So then its been 5 hours of me watching like 10 episodes of Chicago PD on their Tv in the waiting room and FINALLY they are done. I went home and after 2 weeks I realize that the speakers are pretty bad on Bass and that they broke a clip on my dashboard so the drivers side my the radio the plastic popped out at all times and they denied that they could fix it so I am stuck with part of the dashboard by the radio sticking out. I found out that the speakers they assured me are better than the ones I bought are actually worse and cost me twice as much but I think whatever. Then The speakers sound blown so I go back for them to test it. I am told that the radio is overheating quickly and that to fix this problem I have to buy a New and of course much more expensive radio Or I can just get a amp that would cost me much more. I go in then to see what radio's would be better and I see the price on the radio at 200 so I tell him that I am going to go get it on amazon and come back. Right when I say that he Raises his voice saying that they Price match. I say alright and continue to walk away then he almost yells at me and keeps saying they price match like 4 times. I am not pissed that they overcharge me for a bunch of crap but he tells me they price match now and not before. I looked up the prices of all the stuff they sold me on amazon and They charged me 280$ (almost 400 after installation) in parts that on amazon would have been 160$...... THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER ALL THIS TIME SO I COULD HAVE BEEN SAVING MONEY but they just sold all this useless crap to me. Never coming here again. read more

Came in here to inquire about installing a new head unit in my car along with a car alarm. Ended up going with a pioneer unit and it drastically improved the sound of my car without having to change the stock speakers. Price was decent and I'm in love with the service they did! The job they did was everything I expected and more. I only gave them 4 stars because their waiting room is tiny and in an awkward place. Also because the work on the car took longer than the estimates they gave me. Other than that can't complain too much! Love my new stereo and car alarm!
