This place is the best! Last week I had them install a front and rear dash cam on my son's new Civic, and they did a phenomenal job with the installation, his phone app set-up, and instructions. As a former car radio, alarm, car-phone, etc, installer myself, I was contemplating on buying the camera and installing it myself, but I did not want to risk braking anything so I had Tom and his guys do the job. The price was extremely fair, and the workmanship was excellent. I am very meticulous with my installs, and they superseded my expectations. So, one week after my son's install (yesterday), I had Tom and his guys install the same camera setup on my new Camry. Once again, phenomenal install. Great customer service thought I needed a new stereo, but turned out was just loose wiring. Would definitely comeback if needed.

I bought a dash cam off Amazon and since I don't have a "cigarette lighter " plug in my truck I wanted it hardwired. They kept it for 2 hours and then it was all done. No wires popping out around the passenger compartment and the parking monitor is on. Got the referral from an auto body repair shop so I figured it was worth the chance, and it was. I walked home while they put the dash cam in, but they have a clean waiting area and they're close to food places if you want to / need to hang out. I don't know what the going rate is for hardwired dash cam installation, but it seems reasonable to me especially since it's not in my wheelhouse. They sell dash cams there if you just want to purchase one from them. read more

The guy who answered the phone wouldn't even listen to what question I was asking and just kept interrupting me and saying I don't know, bro bring the car here. I had two different cars worked on over the years including a rear view camera system in one and a complete stereo system , dash adapter, with subwoofer and rear view camera as well in the other. I don't recommend. Took my jeep to have my system checked out. I told the owner I installed speakers in the soundbar but I didn't like how they sounded. I told the owner couldn't you listen to my speakers I don't think they are right he refuses. He said he knew what was the issue. I believe him because he had install a sub in my old truck. He install a amp and new 4 new speakers after they finished he said my head unit wasn't good because it sounded a little better but not great. I was disappointed I spent 1k for nothing. The best customer service and an iDatalink Distributor. I have a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid, and with their help I was able to install a new stereo with wireless carplay and wireless android auto, while retaining my factory climate control, hybrid information, rear camera (though i think im gonna upgrade this too), and steering wheel controls. This wouldn't have been possible without the idatalink maestro and some other shop may screw up programming the device for your specific car. I also had them install a dash cam and it looks oem. I came to install a breathalyzer that didn't even work when installed and the chinese guy originally charged me 150$ for install ( which he did not refund me ) when I asked him to remove it THE NEXT DAY he then charged me an additional 60$.. Tom and Chris take the time to clarify every single aspect of the system you want to put together and have installed. There was never a time either of these gentlemen pressured me to upgrade any components or accessories. Through the numerous emails and in-person visits, Tom and I discussed what system options were available to me with the budget I had to work with. When discussing my system, Tom and Chris offered options but always allowed every single system decision to be made by me. Both of these men are very patient, believe me. I had an entirely new sound system installed, along with a brand new Viper alarm and LED exterior and interior lighting. A custom box was built for my system and the outcome of that was a very pleasant surprise. Chris even programmed the Viper alarm for me, right down the color of the display on the remote. Both Tom and Chris took the time to walk me through the details of what they were doing and had done, step by step, to allow me to see exactly what was transpiring with my car. They even voluntarily stayed after hours to complete work on my car! It is very obvious that Tom and Chris take great pride in their work and the results shine through. Lastly, they are very honorable men and that is very important. They both told me directly to my face that if anything arises with the system, contact them, bring the car in and they will take care of it. They are an authorized dealer of excellent products such as JL Audio and Kenwood, among many others. They honor warranties on all products they sell and the installation has an excellent warranty as well. It turns out, the 2 speakers had caved in, and they were able to pop them back out, and now my speakers are working fine again. I took my golf card to Street Sound Plus on 16175 Roscoe Blvd, North Hills, CA, because my radio didn't get power. It took them 5 minutes to hook one wire and charged me $85. The next day I wanted to drive my golf card at night and found out that when I turn on my lights my radio doesn't work, it only works when the lights are off. I went back and ask them to look at the cause of the problem. They told me that since it worked at delivery time i need to pay again. I took my golf cart to another shop and they found out that Street Sound hooked the power wire to the wrong source. The owner Tom Chung was the rudest person I ever met. More likely all the the good reviews are from his friends and family. If you are thinking to take your car there for service, think again. You have been warned. read more

Ok, Having two VW's it is always a challenge to get a non factory stereo put in without issues. Be it battery's mysteriously going dead, getting the car smogged it goes through the radio, ( no kidding). The people at Street Sound are just the brightest and most friendly HONEST people you will do biz with in the car stereo world. The sales staff want a cool system for your individual needs be it thumping bass, or rock, or classical. They design a sound that you can change step by step by adding amplifiers, or sub's a step at a time, which I found really cool monetarily. I have had many car stereos in my life, but never have I had such a pleasurable experience as I have both my wife and I at SSP. I'd been in and out of several car audio suppliers and installers, and read several reviews before finally deciding on what head unit to install in my car. During my search, the places I'd been to attempted to up-sell me, switch me to whatever was in their inventory, or indicated that they'd use generic parts. One by one, I decided I wouldn't use their services. So I researched head units on my own to try and get an unbiased opinion. After I finally decided on which head unit I'd get, I ordered it along with the ancillary parts that I would need for the installation through a couple of online dealers. What I hadn't decided on, at the time, was which company I would use for the installation. I of course went back to Yelp and read several reviews. Street Sound Plus came up with several reviews with an average rating of five stars! After my experience, I decided I'd help them keep their rating by adding my own five star rating. The place is a two person operation. They're completely customer service oriented and know their business. First off, they asked me what car I was installing my head unit into and made sure I had all of the necessary parts. Secondly, they are not an authorized dealer for the head unit that I wanted to have installed. Even though they weren't, they didn't try up up-sell me or switch me to one of their units. Then, during the install, we discovered that the head unit manufacturer did not include all of the parts that I needed. (Remember I ordered the head unit through an online dealer so Street Sound Plus would not have known this part was not included.) Street Sound Plus helped me look for the part so that we could finish the installation, on this day. Once I found the part, they allowed be to delay the installation and get the part which was on the other side of town. I returned later than expected and they stayed late to finish the installation. No one asked for a penny more, even though I caused them to stay beyond their normal business hours. While they worked on the installation, I took advantage of their wi-fi and enjoyed a movie on their big screen. I would definitely come back to and recommend this place. read more

I can't say enough good things about the people here at Street Sound Plus. I've been here before. They know how to research what after market component works with your current system...and they take the time to ensure that the fit is perfect. If not, they'll suggest a custom plate or additional item that they build in house. My first visit had them swap the Stereo of my Caddy CTS with a Kenwood Double DIN navigation system. When I get it back from the shop (unrelated, it's being worked on for some issues --not related to stereo), I'll make sure to show you the photo. They worked it into the current setup so it looks just about stock. In addition, the workmanship is NOT shoddy. They stand by their work...and never short cut stuff. They solder rather than twisty-wire all their connections ensuring long-lasting connections every time. My second visit had them install a new Alpine Bluetooth deck into my old Toyota Pick-Up. All I did was come in, say, "Hey, this truck needs a little love in the sound department," let them know I had a budget of $400...and whammo...they gave me a great system ... my truck sounds 200% better than it did before.
