He emphasized that he wants to make me happy and I liked that he reached out personally. He did a full diagnostic and found the shorts. He replaced the wires and added speakers at no charge. I came to this place a few months ago. They had 4 stars so I didn't even question it. I went in there looking for some new speakers for my impala and I found some at a decent price (I didn't want anything fancy). The owner constantly tried to upsell the speakers and promised me the ones he offered were the best in the biz. I took his word for it and spend 350$+ on it. As soon as they finished installation I drove off to pump gas. My driver door would not open so I called back immediately and they fixed it but broke a piece that covers the screw. I was mad but didn't say anything. That same week I look up the prices for the speakers and find out they were valued at 130$ and was mad. Then I find out a week later that the power for my rear seat window wasn't working, of course I didn't find out immediately because I don't sit in the back. Took it to the mechanic and quoted me over 300$+. Do your research on prices before going shopping and avoid this place. read more

the guy took some time to explain my options to me which was cool, as I found out later the sub and speakers i purchased were a little overpriced compared to deals I could find online, however the installation was done very well and they even spent extra time on my car to find out what was rattling when the bass hit! they had a few cheap deals but the guy did sell me on the Pioneer system and I have to admit it sounds very clean and thumps!! read more

My husband got a recommendation from our neighbor who owns a tire shop down the street. He said they will treat you great. So off to Stereo 1 my husband went. He wanted to get the perfect stereo system for my birthday as a surprise. He came home with a stereo system with the works! Stereo,CD,Dvd, navigation. Unfortunately it did not get any reception and was to hard to use with my Bluetooth. We called Sam the owner the next day and explained we were not happy with the unit. He said no problem, bring it in and I'll exchange it for something that works for you. Who does that?! So great! I was able to go in and pick what I wanted. Something that was name brand, better reception and works with my Bluetooth. Sam is so knowledgeable. He really knows his stereos. Got the unit installed in about an hour in a half. The guy who installed it was great. He did a super clean job and even took the time to show me how to sink my cell phone to it and show me how everything worked. Just rude and unprofessional. Yesterday I went to program an alarm on my car. They couldn't figure it out. So they told me to call back tomorrow and ask for the guy who was working on my car. So he could find out info from the dealer. I called back, they said he was busy and to call back another time. I called back at that time. Then they said the person I was asking for was not there. Before I could ask what time was he coming back, they hung up. They gave me the run around, asked me why I was calling. Just nasty customer service. I stopped by have my car checked after the sound cut off. This location really doesn't have store front so it's a bit hard to spot where it is. The entrance is on a side street where the flags are. This place doesn't look like much but don't let that deter you. The father and son team are very skilled. They won't over sell you and try to get you taken care of at the best cost. Although my trouble took several trips to fix, I do understand there was some unknown wiring that had been performed by a previous shop. In the end, they fixed my problem and it has now been working for several weeks. I will have to go back there with my other vehicle or when I have other stereo needs. read more

These place sucks They instaled navigation sistem, at the time i had a bosse system everything was working perfect, after they instaled the navigation system only the tweeters worked then they told me that the speakers didnt work, what i know these installer doesent know what hes doing... I wold not recomend these place to no one, I spent too much money and im thinking on hiring a lawyer to close these place down they suck...... read more

Came in here on Thursday and spoke to Sam about installing my new pioneer unit, alpine amp and sub. He says of course no problem. I didn't have the stereo with me but he has the exact same ones above the door into the workshop. Told him I want everything the same, I.e. The microphone for the Bluetooth and Sirius because I've already paid the subscription for it. He managed to talk me into some expensive focal speakers and another amp to power those for the doors. Gave him a $200 deposit to order a dash kit he didn't have in stock and agreed to come back Saturday. I'm here getting it installed and paid him.. He then tells me I need an adapter for the satellite after three different adapters were put in.. Wtf. I told him specifically what I wanted... While they were doing the install my girlfriend and I wandered the bay with no issues until they were almost done. The installer with the beard for all mad and told us we can't sit in the seats in the bay, that we have to stand inside and wait because those are for them to sit in when nobody is working on a car. Shouldn't be sitting at work anyway unless it's break time!!! Asked him how much for the hid lights because their coupon online says "$79 free install". He tried to tell me, $110 a pair not including the ballast. What the hell dude? 1300 later, my car sounds louder than stock but not great, amp wasn't installed where I asked and now have to go to someplace else to get my Sirius hooked up that I'm paying for! Got in my car to leave.. The back up camera doesn't work.. Another fucking adapter needed plus he was trying to sell me some piece of shit Pyle back up camera. Why is it so difficult for this guy to comprehend stuff?!?!? Then he refused to tell me and my girlfriend the part number of the adapter that is needed. The installer went on and on about how he's been doing this for years but doesn't mention any of this shit!?!?? read more

Words can barely describe how AWESOME the guys are at STEREO 1. We had an absolutely unbelievably horrible experience at another shop a week prior, where the owner not only took us for $600 on the installation of some speakers but lied to us. Without belaboring our prior negative experience... I would like to focus on the POSITIVE. We found Sam at Stereo 1 who offered to look at our issue and make the necessary repairs to put our system back together. During the course of our visit we decided to purchase a whole new system for my car. Sam was honest, straightforward and extremely knowledgeable. Installation fees were beyond reasonable and he and his crew were all very pleasant and professional. There was zero pressure and they clearly know what they are doing. We had to come back a few times to have some parts we ordered installed, they took their time and made sure everything was put back together correctly and professionally. Working with these guys was great and Sam was like meeting a new friend. It can take a while to have a stereo installed and during that time we enjoyed passing pleasant conversation with him. Stereo 1 represents what it was like in the old days, the small business-owner who is honest and true. We are going back prior to the holidays to have a sub and amp installed. WE CANT WAIT.
