Tv not working . No front desk on sight to call

Absolutely Horrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs I would give negative stars if I could. This place is absolutely disgusting. When I walked into the room, there was throw up splattered on the wall -- clearly no real cleaning had been done. The jacuzzi tub was completely unusable: full of cracks, rusted over, and barely functioning. The TV didn't work at all, which made things even worse. There's no staff on site -- if you have an issue, you're supposed to text a number. I texted immediately, even sent pictures of the mess, and no one ever got back to me. Zero customer service. And for the outrageous price (over $200 a night!), there's no parking available on site. You either have to drive around searching for street parking and keep feeding the meters, or park two blocks away in a public parking garage and walk back to the hotel. This place feels like an overpriced, run-down motel. Definitely not worth it. Extremely disappointing and honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I will never stay here again and I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone.

Wow! I have to start by highlighting the incredible hospitality at the Sterling Hotel. The staff were so diligent and attentive--Scout, Abby, and PK the bartender were especially friendly. Being pregnant, I truly appreciated how Scout went above and beyond to assist me. The Chef's passion for his craft really shines through--the food was outstanding. His au jus and horseradish sauce were absolutely spectacular. I wish I could come back to dine for the prime ribs! Thank you, Wedgewood/Sterling Hotel, for an unforgettable night. 10/10 would recommend

We stayed here for our 16th wedding anniversary; just for a little one-night getaway. We booked through Expedia, paying $160.84. The pictures are pretty good at depicting the cuteness and charm ... HOWEVER: * There were cracks in our huge jacuzzi tub, rendering it unusable. No way was I going to try to soak in that using those jets. (Room 203) * There was good water pressure; HOWEVER, the hot water never got hot! Seriously! We let the hot water run a little longer, never even turned on the cold water, and our showers were still lukewarm. No thanks. * The pillows and blankets were decent; HOWEVER, our bed was a little saggy. It wasn't horrible and we probably would have gotten a good night's sleep; HOWEVER ... * Every time our heater kicked on throughout the night, we heard a rattling in the vent! I can't even count how many times I woke up thanks to that annoying rattle. * See in the check-in paperwork how it says, "The Sterling Hotel parking voucher is only for the Memorial Parking Garage ... for a fee of $16 of one-time use which covers a 24-hour period." Then it says, "The Sterling Hotel does not offer free parking validations or vouchers at any parking destinations at this time." When we checked in, we both remember being told about the $16 parking voucher. When we checked out, we were told they do not give out vouchers, at all. When I questioned their paperwork, we were told, "Yeah, I know, it's false ... The general manager does not like to change paperwork." (Yes, quote, unquote). We paid $17.50 at the garage. We never asked for any free parking, just to save $1.50. Not a huge savings, but it's still the principle of what they have advertised versus what was actually offered. Hm ... * The Continental Breakfast was exactly that, consisting of oatmeal, English muffins, bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Nothing extravagant. Very simple. * We didn't really have to interact with any of the staff, but those we did see in passing were very friendly. * Location: Not too bad; centrally located to a lot of restaurants, boutiques, and bars. We Lyfted all night. Overall, I WOULD NOT recommend staying here, especially for $160 per night!

This review is just for the ballroom facilities that my professional association rented for a special awards dinner. This was my first time in the old Sterling/Chanterelle building since it changed hands years ago. The main dining/ballroom is quite beautiful and is a ~great~ place for a large group dinner event in the downtown area. High ceilings and a very spacious space for an elegant dinner or other celebration...the Sterling is a place to consider if you're looking for someplace to hold a large reception. For those who don't want to deal with the tribulations of finding downtown parking, the light rail station at 12th and H is only one block away.

2:00 am and the lights won't turn off. The switch is broken and we can't get the lights to turn off. Lights flickering all night.

warning!!Read all the other reviews!! I wish I did. Horrible experience. Old hotel with flickering lights in the room. Room lights go on and off all throughout the night. As you can see there is no assistance. No one to call. No one at the front desk. Just a rundown ghetto hotel. We thought we got a good deal but there is a reason it was so cheap. Horrible night. Don't expect anyone around. I'm still in disbelief this happened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

The room was spacious and clean. It did not feel cramped or crowded. The bed was comfortable and was furnished with many pillows. The hotel offers almost any bathroom amenities that you can think of if you forgot them. The mini bar is fully loaded, but pricey as expected. I was unfortunately disappointed with the view though. The tall ceilings and quiet rooms--thanks to excellent insulation--made the stay very comfortable. I also liked the different water options available near the front desk, especially since the bottled water in the rooms cost $10 each. The music in the pool area created a great atmosphere, and the jacuzzi was a nice size and very enjoyable. However, the main issue was the mandatory valet fee--even when not using valet service. This makes no sense and feels unreasonable. If arriving by Uber or not bringing a car, there is no justification for being charged valet. The website does not clearly state that valet is mandatory, and there was no prior notice when booking. At check-in, staff simply said, "We have to charge it anyway," regardless of whether the service was used. The fee is also quite high at $52 per night, which adds up quickly for a service not utilized. According to previous reviews, valet fees have increased significantly over the past three years. I would not stay at this Westin Hotels & Resorts location again. The accumulation of mandatory fees makes the experience feel transactional rather than guest-focused. I would much rather voluntarily tip valet staff when I actually use and appreciate their service, rather than be required to pay a substantial fee regardless of need. Overall, while the hotel has many appealing qualities, the mandatory valet charge without clear disclosure or usage was a major drawback.

We were a family of five staying in one room and requested an extra blanket, which they did not have any and gave us top of the comforter, which was weird. The best hotel !!!- so clean - staff was friendly and attentive- gym was great - pool was great -…read moresmelt good everywhere! Breakfast was nice - they had gluten free muffins and toast . Wish there was a dairy free yogurt option at the yogurt bar - but lots of fresh fruit !! High ceilings in room and fresh filtered water on tap in our room with clean dishes and felt like a full kitchen! Also - had a room with 2 beds and a pull out couch and still plenty of room. Can't wait to go back.

We were visiting for a day and needed to find a place to rest and recharge before heading back…read more I've stayed at the same lodging in Chandler Arizona a few years back and fell in love. When I saw there was one within the area we were shopping, I knew I had to book it. Made the reservation and decided to see if all possible to check in early. (It wasn't by much) Swasy is the one who greeted me, asked how I was doing and overall made me feel welcomed. She explained the amenities and just by scanning the area, I could tell this was a nice place. As we were making our way up the room, Maria from housekeeping greeted us and let us know if we need anything, please let us know. Arrived at our floor and you can tell how comfy and inviting the bed is. Woke up and decided to take advantage of the gym at 5am. Greeted by Seth as I was helping myself to coffee. There were some items ready in which he added to help myself. As I thanked him, he reminded me breakfast will start at 7am and provided me what was on the menu. Made it to breakfast with Cecilia who works the area. I briefly met her along with Madison when I first checked in. Breakfast was fresh and flavorful Checking out I was greeted by Madison who I recognized yesterday when I checked in. Told her shes pulling a double in which she giggled and has such an infectious smile. Overall I am very satisfied with the awesome customer service especially the attentiveness and acknowledgement. Highly recommend
