Diane understood my needs and she fit me with the perfect sneaker that I aim able to use daily. I decided to return to the store two weeks later and ask for Diane again. She remembered me and I told her this time I needed an indoor outdoor slipper, that would work as well as my sneakers. Again she was able to accommodate my needs and I left the store with two pairs of slippers. The Olukai and Prophet are a perfect fit. What a friendly shop! My daughter takes dance classes a few doors down and when I was dropping her…read moreoff at the studio just before Christmas, she exclaimed, "I want shoes for Christmas! AND SLIPPERS!" So, I walked right back to the window full of shoes that inspired her wish, and walked through the door. Irving himself, I assume, was there cobbling a pair of shoes (I think he does a lot of shoe and zipper repairs). I wove through the many piles of shoes and other items and found a pair of pink, flowered, light-up sneakers for my daughter as well as a pair of fuzzy puppy slippers that I knew she would love to receive. Fast forward to Christmas: she was thrilled. Wears the sneaks all the time. The puppy slippers were too small. Luckily, Irving let me know during our conversation as I explored his shop that if the slippers didn't fit, I could certainly return them and he will happily get us the right size. When I get back to town, I will do so! Final note: the owner was so friendly and went above and beyond as far as customer service and engagement. He was delightful to chat with as I shopped. Makes me want to keep shopping locally at this tiny, chaotic, and lovely shoe store.

Got a solid foot measurement, with many suggestions based upon my needs in a better walking sneaker and wound up with a choice between a pair of Brooks or New Balance. I also wasn't in the mood to drive to Johnston to Yorkers Shoes (but is closed on Sundays anyways) and Rhode Runner is a pain for parking on North Main St - so my purposes on short notice and a whim, Savon Shoes stepped up and helped me out today! They have a handful of different sweaters and a dozen or so sneakers, so again, don't go in expecting a huge selection. Overall, I don't know if I'd come back, the selection is limited and the prices while fair, aren't something to entice me. And, its slightly annoying to be bothered by multiple people while there.
