I am so impressed…read more We have a HIGHLY fearful dog at the vet. To the point where his old vet did all his visits outside and didn't actually accomplish anything other than his yearly vaccines. We moved to the area and I called BVH to make an appointment. They called our old vet, got all of his details, and made sure they scheduled him on a procedure day to make sure they could sedate him if needed. We arrived and they gave him a bandana with happy pheromones to help make him comfortable. Dr Silvers tried the exam with a muzzle, but our pup was not having it. We agreed to come back later that day when they could sedate him. We could have left him, but didn't want to add stress to the situation so we appreciated being given the option to bring him back. They also gave us the estimate up front, so that we could make a decision before moving forward. Dr Aulisio was our vet when we returned and she was wonderful. We quickly muzzled our pup for the sedative and she was able to do the entire exam (something he hasn't had in the 2 years we've had him!). He got all of his vaccines, blood drawn, nails clipped, the works, with almost no stress put on our pup. We just received a call to check in on him. Truly a wonderful experience, we are so happy we changed vets.

We rushed her to the VEG ER in Short Hills, and the experience was extremely upsetting. Despite the waiting room being completely empty, we were left waiting for three hours. One doctor was simply waiting for his shift to end, while the incoming doctor took his time chatting about his weekend and vacation plans. It felt shockingly unprofessional, especially given the condition our puppy was in. When we were finally seen, the doctor misdiagnosed her and even recommended surgery. The bill was already over $4,000 -- and that didn't include the surgery they wanted to perform. Something didn't feel right, so we contacted Shake A Paw, and they recommended Dr. Sam. The difference was immediate and remarkable. Dr. Sam and the staff at All Pets Vet Clinic took our puppy in right away, gave an accurate diagnosis, and treated her with genuine care and urgency. She stayed overnight, and when we picked her up the next day, she was healthy, energetic, and acting like a normal puppy again. Dr. Sam has now become our permanent veterinarian, and we are more than willing to drive from North Jersey for his care. He is a dedicated, compassionate doctor who truly respects both animals and their owners. I highly recommend him and his practice.

First of all, they wouldn't even let me go in with her -- which was horrifying. My little girl has been by my side for 14 years; she's never been without me. After giving her the medication she needed, they sat us down and presented an outrageous estimate -- over $10,000 just to keep her alive. Before we even went, I had spoken with my regular vet. He told me exactly what to ask for and what my dog needed. He also specifically advised me never to leave any of my dogs overnight at a hospital unless it was absolutely crucial. I trusted his judgment -- and I knew in my heart my girl would be okay with the right care. But the emergency clinic tried to guilt and scare us, saying that if we didn't leave her there, she would die. Shame on them. It's devastating to see what so many of these vet hospitals are becoming -- businesses more focused on money than compassion. They take advantage of pet owners when we're at our most vulnerable, knowing how deeply we love our animals, and then pressure us into debt with fear tactics. It's disgusting and heartbreaking to see. Our pets deserve genuine care -- not manipulation. And pet owners deserve honesty and compassion, not financial exploitation in our moments of panic and pain.
