This spot is a little out of the way but there are no poke places in our neighbourhood. Came here for a quick bite in the afternoon. We tried the California dreamin bowl. It was fresh and delicious. Not too saucy. Not too many customers inside the store. The girl making our order was nice and helpful. We will be back! Came here for their Grand Opening today. Steve was offering $6 poké bowls - how can you say no? A decently sized restaurant beside Five Guys with plenty of free parking. As we entered there was already a looped line-up, scoping out the place while we waited - a fresh, bright, semi-nautical and modern atmosphere with a clean, simple feel. After about 25 minutes we got to the ordering area where we greeted with smiles and a nice welcome from the very own Steve of Steve's Poké! Super friendly guy and all the staff had good energy and smiles to make the ordering and wait worth it. We've been to his Central Surrey location (super nice staff too) and the Willowbrook Mall is coming soon but so happy this South Surrey location is now a 5 minute drive from me! Plenty of beautiful and very fresh ingredients with labels to make ordering easy. But even before you top your bowl, the rice is great - they use is a short grain and it has more of a chew/glutinous mouth feel to it. They have green salad as a base option as well. I topped my Large Poké Bowl with a scoop of Shoyu Salmon and Spicy Scallop. Good decent chunks of protein and flavoured well. Next I topped it off with beautiful toppings like seaweed salad, edamame, corn, red onion, imitation crab, and kimchi. You can add premium toppings for an extra fee like avocado, masago, tobiko, mango, etc. After you've created your bowl and pay, there's a little station for you to add your dressings for an extra kick of flavour - spicy mayo, ponzu, and sesame. The eating space can accommodate smaller and larger groups. And if you're not into making your own bowl, they have preset poké bowls so you don't have to think and they have their famous Steve's Traditional (Hawaiian) Poké Bowl - served island style. IMPRESSED with my intro to poké! This location is "new" so not expecting the high quality of service we received. A comfortable, clean environment greeted us. Were very impressed with what we saw and experienced; met by a friendly welcoming staff who individually "educated" us on poké with samples to taste prior to ordering our individual Signature Bowls, very appreciated! ALL ingredients were fresh and flavorful with a fantastic selection including all the extra "toppings/sauces". Our choices were mouthwatering as well as fulfilling on all levels. Steve's poke bar is usually my go to after work. This is my first time ordering at this location. Most of the time I'm super satisfied with my food and experience. I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl. I asked for extra toppings as I normally do. I was extremely excited to eat this after work and was greatly disappointed. There was way to much shoyu sauce that it was so salty to the point where I didn't get to finish my meal. As my sister would say : " she drenched it like a girls gone wild wet t shirt contest". That's how much sauce there was. My sister tried it herself to see if I was over exaggerating, to her surprise she said it was one of the worse poke she had. It was a waste of $19 ive spent. All in the garbage. Will not return to this location. read more

This location is brand new and just recently had their grand opening. Located in Grandview corners this location offers plentiful amounts of parking. Inside was bright, clean and organized. The staff were super energetic and helpful, explaining all the different flavors and options available to suite anyone's preference. If your a Poke lover than you must try this place out. Of all the other places around Metro Vancouver, this one is by far the closest you can get shy of flying to Hawaii. One thing i love about Steves is that the Poke is marinated before they serve it to you. My pet peeve is getting scoops of cubes fish and just have them drizzle the sauce ontop. Coming from someone who loves going to Hawaii for their poké, it brings me back to that Island living, Aloha experience. A regular to Steve's Guildford location, I was thrilled to learn about the opening of their new Grandview Corner's location. Little did I know stopping in today, I would meet STEVE himself!!! The mastermind behind this incredible business. Talking to Steve, it's easy to see why this Poké is so incredible. The BEST poke ever! I am here at least 4 times a week and I get a large bowl with spicy tuna, spicy salmon and tuna with dry rub spices. I load it up with everything possible! It is like a firecracker in my mouth bursting of so much flavour! Love this place! Thank you! read more

Thought this place would be great, but the poke bowl I got was highly dissapointing. The fish was not that fresh/lacked flavor. The veggies, especially the salad leaves were wilting. I paid extra for avocado and that was turning black and mushy. Never going here again. read more

Pricey for what you get, and the service is not overly friendly nor helpful, more attitude than anything. Sadly, most probably come here due to lack of local Poke businesses in the area, but many other further away offer much better poke and value. read more

Great place for poke in White Rock! The staff are always very friendly, the food and bowl combinations are great with a pretty generous portion of fish and everything else. There isn't much else to say except that I love this place as a quick and healthy option near home. Definitely am a returning customer! read more

Not bad my husband enjoyed it, I didn't have anything because I don't eat seafood and they had no option for chicken! Clean place the one staff member was great! However my husband said that he wished they had more staff working rather than one individual who was super busy and unable to answer questions due to the line up behind him. Also the set up is strange when their is too many people in the line up your pretty much bumping into each other the order spot should have been switched around !!!! Anyways the only reason for the 3 is they had no chicken!!!!I know it's meant for seafood but I would have liked to see other options as I don't eat tofu ! :) read more
