I was looking for an engagement ring, and had a pretty good idea what I wanted. (I found something I liked online) I explored a few jewelry chains prior to coming to Steven, and the difference was staggering. In the other stores, I found myself having to guard against all kinds of aggressive salesman tactics, leaving me quite anxious and frustrated. Steven Bernard's on the other hand was an absolute pleasure. Simply, he listened to what I wanted, and made it happen. No pressure. The specific ring and diamond I wanted wasn't in the store, but was in stock at his supplier. So he orders it and I leave, assuming it'll take a few days. Well, less than 24 hours later, I get a call saying the ring and diamond are in. To my astonishment, Steven OVERNIGHTED it. What a gem this place is- it's great to walk in somewhere and feel like a person and not a dollar sign. In both cases, we provided an outline of what we wanted custom-made but we weren't sure exactly how the finished product "should" look. Both the engagement ring and the wedding bands came out perfectly and we couldn't have wished for a better result. Steven's service is also second-to-none - he remembered my name each time I came in, sometimes months apart, and offered to clean the engagement ring free of charge prior to the wedding to make sure it sparkled for photos. We had Stephen Bernard make our wedding bands. Usually this might be a simple task, just two silver circles, but of course we had to make it tricky. My engagement ring is a vintage setting and the wedding band had to be custom-made to fit its unique shape. It took him a while to do it, but the results were beautiful. He gave me the runaround with several different and conflicting stories as to what happened to them.
