All sentimental pieces from my husband of now 28 years. I had 4 tennis bracelets that broke at the clasp area or needed the clasp tightened because the bracelet kept coming off, they needed the pins checks and like 2-3 diamonds were missing in 2 off them. A anklet needing to be cut down because the material stretched out and was too big for my ankle and 2 chains with diamond pendants that needed chains replaced because they snapped. Originally I only wanted the tennis bracelets fixed without getting the diamonds replaced but the sales clerk (who kept trying to get me to sale them back all my tennis bracelets for ONE TENNIS BRACELET) suggested I at least get them to give me an estimate and if it was too much just stick with getting the clasps and the pins taken care of. My PROMISE date was for 08/07. So I get a call from a gentleman on 08/07 saying my NECKLACE is back. I ask him where is the rest of my jewelry. He said oh. I see now you had several pieces but they are not back yet so I will just hold on to this until the rest are in and you can get them all at once. Ok.. So I wait and two days later the young lady I was originally dealing with calls me and says my stuff is back and Kays wants $160 to fix one bracelet, $300 to fix one and $80 to fix the other for a total of $540 but they will give me a deal and fix all three for $500. Or (AND HEAR SHE GOES AGAIN) I can sell these back to them and buy ONE NEW BRACELET for what they give me for those. LOL..I tell her again, I am not interested in selling my bracelets. Just want them fixed. So I tell her well, I don't want the diamond replaced. Just fix the clasps and pins. She calls me back and says Kay's won't fix my bracelets unless I have the diamonds put in by them. WHAT?? Originally I didn't even want them replaced. Just fixed so how are the refusing to fix them UNLESS I et their diamonds put in it??? I tell her I can see that if I still had the warranty on the items but I am paying out of pocket and I don't want their diamonds. yet, they refused to fix them. So I tell her I just want my jewelry back. I will take it somewhere else. She says ok. I will see you when you get here. This was on 08/09. So my job sent me out of town for a week. I get back and on 08/17, I head there with my husband to get all my jewelry. They give me one tennis bracelet, my anklet, and my two chains with the pendants. THREE BRACELTS ARE MISSING. So I ask her where are my other items. She says, oh didn't you pick them up already. I say NO. If I did, why would I still have the slips you give me to claim them. So she looks on the computer and says, oh, they are no back yet. HUH?? A week ago, I told the young lady I was coming in to get all my jewelry in which she said, SEE YOU SOON. Now a week later you tell me they aren't even here?? FISHY.. OK. Well how long? She says she is not sure but they will call me when they arrive. 08/28, I am sitting at the kitchen table like, HEY, I never received a call about my bracelets. Let me call them. The lady on the other ends says, oh I remember you. yeah, your bracelets are here. They came on 08/21. We called you.. WHAT??? COME ON NOW.. NO ONE CALLED ME. I have no missed calls from your store. No voicemails from your store. NOTHING!! So she says, well we put notes in the system when we made a call to the owner. I said oh really. So you show one call made to me on 08/21 and this is the 28th and no one bothered to try me again to get my jewelry that has been sitting there for what you claim to be 7 days?? Yeah. Ok. I'll be there to get my jewelry tomorrow. NO EXCUSES. She laughed like it was a joke. BUT I AM SO SERIOUS!!! They have had my jewelry that they refused to fix for a damn month....This is all too fishy to me.. These people were super pressed about me selling them my jewelry, then all of a sudden it wasn't back yet with the rest of my pieces, then it was there but I didn't get their call when they tried ONCE to call me.. HORROBLE KAYS. Never again..
