EVERY staff member was extremely welcoming and personable. My hygienist was super sweet, engaged in fun conversation, and was very gentle with the cleaning (a nice change from my previous dentist office haha). I feel really lucky to have found such an awesome dentist so close to home! Second Street is location in the perfect spot in downtown St. Charles. I have had nothing but pleasant and easy cleanings. When I have needed to get cavities filled the team has ensured I am comfortable and not in pain. They even provide dental cleanings for young kids. I have 2 kids (5 and almost 3) who have gone and the team does really well with them to try and keep them entertained (put on a show while they are cleaning) as well as incentivize them with prizes afterwards.

Calls and messages are poorly documented and you can expect to waste a lot of both time in the office and on follow-up calls after hours that don't resolve anything. Billing errors on their end were ignored, and when concerns are raised, they are minimized rather than addressed. The front desk made scheduling, communication, and payments unnecessarily stressful, and there is no way to avoid interacting with Christina. I cannot recommend this office. If you value your time and sanity, it's better to find a dental practice with staff who are trained, organized, and willing to take responsibility.

Had to come back to evaluate them. He made me come after hours so as not to disrupt the money flow of the scheduled patients. His words. His comment was that "he doesn't repair teeth". His ego was laughable. You could tell he wasn't skilled enough to back up his work. The extraction was difficult for him. Took him several tries and ended up just cracking the tooth in pieces to remove it. Fat fingers. A large pushy woman came in first to interview me about my complaint. Bully. After McKnight realized he had done damage he immediately accused me of being abusive to his staff, doing the damage myself. Hadn't even interacted with any staff. Left me in considerable pain because of the bruised area. Plus the loose teeth. Gave me a number to text him for follow up then yelled at me for using it. His staff was rude, undertrained in customer service and complained about their benefits. Bad experience all around. My primary dentist told me they no longer refer McKnight because of customer feedback complaints. 1 star is too many.

I would never look for a cheap dentist as that has caused me pain in the past. Dr. Hyvel has repaired some work from a previous dentist and has relieved all the sensitivity in my mouth finally. She is always very clear about what should be done and why. Her work is top notch and looks beautiful. My crowns no longer have the black lines under them and the materials she uses are all American made and don't contain cheap metals (which makes a cheaper crown for some dentists or more profit for them$$). The cleanings and care there are excellent. Ask to see her work she has done restoring people's smiles and it's unbelievable the transformations - true artistry! I absolutely trust her judgement concerning the treatment plans and have found working with her office and my insurance very easy.

She then tells me they are going t cost me around $90K umm that's $30k more then the highest estimate I have EVER gotten and 30K more then your own third party is telling people. She says he will ave to get back to me. That was on 12/10. It is now 4pm on 12/11 and Dina calls me to tell me they don't allow co-signers. Which is absolute crap and a lie. ALL financing companies allow co-signers. especially ones with good credit and income. So apparently Dina thinks im an idiot. Then she goes "Well when i told yo the cost it didnt seem like you were going to be able to afford it." So apparently Dina is an expert at knowing what people can and cant afford based off of one phone conversation where i said 6 words. Do not waste your time with this place. A bunch of liars and apparently snobby people who think they can decide what people can and cant afford. Lost a $60K mouth. Horrible place.. even better i got a confirmation text and email right after they canceled my appointment on me. It says if i don't show i get charged $97. So if i get charged we will have even more problems.
