I know almost next to nothing about the craft of brewing. Our server did a great job of explaining our options. We arrived during a quiet afternoon so we lucked out on being able to enjoy our drinks and chatting without having to shout. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant and social. There's a great store for merch. Highly recommend.

I used to live in Hershey and was there when Tröegs first opened, so it was great fun to visit again after so many years. My wife and I stopped in last year on a road trip and we really enjoyed it. There's plentiful seating inside and you parking outside, which is great. You order beer at the bar and they have a separate line for food and both the beer and the food are fantastic! They have a variety of styles here and everything was good and we both really liked our food as well. It's great to see that Tröegs is still going strong!

This place is phenomenal. If you are acquainted with the fundamentals of the craft beer scene of Central Pennsylvania, you know and love Troegs, their solid IPAs and world-changing Mad Elf series. A visit to the brewery provides fresh pours of the classics as well as a host of specialty brews (e.g., bourbon barrel-aged Mad Elf Grand Cru, which is nothing short of magical). Many of these brews are high-octane. Handily, Troegs also serves food - and it's not the typical compliment of fried bar nibbles. The menu offers a wide and changing variety of dishes of all sizes that are damn near gourmet (e.g., braised short rib, duck confit, crab lasagna). The Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese is an obvious must. And I like the way they do payment. After you sit down, a member of the wait staff will find you, take your name, credit card, and (first) beer order, after which you can just give your name to the bar or snack bar and they will add order(s) to your tab. Also, epic gift shop (that sells beer and all related things).

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for the first time while on a weekend trip to Hershey/Harrisburg. I've had their beer plenty of times over the years as they distribute widely to NJ where I'm from - their Mad Elf is a Christmas staple in my household. I went into the brewery blind, having no idea how big the facility was or that they had 1,200+ reviews on Yelp. A place like this teeters on the edge of living up to the hype, or being crushed by it. I'm happy to say that out of the hundreds of breweries I have visited in my lifetime, this was hands down one of the best I have ever been to. There is a massive parking lot outside, so parking is not an issue. When you walk inside you're hit by a distinct smell of yeast only found in industrial sized breweries. You'll either love it or hate it depending on how much you like beer. I was with my girlfriend and son and we found seating right away. My girlfriend and I are both huge beer nerds and we each got a flight of several beers only available at the brewery, like a reward for making the pilgrimage. Beers were phenomenal. We shared the fried brussels and squash appetizer which was amazing, and my son got chicken tenders and a lemonade. The place was crowded but beers and food came out quickly and service was very friendly. One thing that struck me was we didn't see a tv anywhere, at least where we were seated in the main area. Nice change of pace from most breweries I've been to. Afterwards we enjoyed the self guided brewery tour as well as the extensive gift shop. We loved every aspect of our experience here and will definitely make the trip back someday.

Okay... so... the food was amazing which is why I am giving this 5 stars. I don't drink beer but for those that did at my table they expressed that they enjoyed it. I have to be honest when I walked in we were expecting a sit down dinner so when we were told we had to order our food somewhere else ourselves, we got cold feet. The hostess said to trust her that the food did not disappoint and she was correct! The food was literally too cheif with the exception that you just had to get it yourself. The dishes were huge and served in fancy glass plates (which I was not expecting since I had to get it myself). The place was spacious and beautiful! It was family friendly

I am OBSESSED with the food I tried at Tröegs. I got their chicken sandwich, which was super unique and full of flavor. The pretzel bun was soft, chicken was juicy, and the corn salsa and pepper jam were so flavorful and spicy. The fries were nice and crispy as well. The rosemary popcorn was also a decent snack. Since I'm not a beer person, I ordered the freakier squeeze lemonade with vodka. This was nice and refreshing! The atmosphere here can be really loud just because it's so big and busy. They have a large amount of seating, though it was still hard to find indoor seating with how packed it was. However, they have a gorgeous beer garden with outdoor seating options as well. For how busy it is, they do a good job at getting through the lines for the snack bar. Additionally, someone came over and took our drink orders, which helped save us some time. Tröegs is so unique and genuinely delicious. This was the perfect place to pre-game a concert at Hersheypark Stadium, just minutes away!

You'll Brew the Day Family-owned independent craft brewer that's based out of Hershey, PA--yes, *that* Hershey, PA. They've been in operation for nearly thirty years (ca. 1997), and take the locavore spirit to heart, as they buy almost exclusively locally sourced ingredients--including 225k lbs of local grain, honey, and fruit used in their beers. The Good: *To go along with their killer suds, they've also got some amazing chef-driven fine dining-esque style menu that really sets them apart from other brewpubs I've visited--and we visit A LOT of brewpubs. I'd almost say their food was almost Michelin quality. Not 1,2, or 3 star quality, but definitely on-par with Michelin recommended or Bib Gourmand winner quality. We go to a LOT of those, as well, fwiw. *Their menu changes seasonally, so what we ate you might not see on the menu--but if they have the duck confit be sure to get it! *Their Tabbouleh Salad was also a winner, which is saying a lot from me. My mom made Tabbouleh all the time, and theirs is second only to hers. *Huge parking lot *Dog-friendly outdoor dining *Fast-casual, order at the counter and they'll bring it out to you. *Service was outstanding all-around. *They offer brewery tours. Unfortunately, we didn't partake, but it's something to look fwd to next time, Gadget! The Meh: *Indoor space is huge but gets very raucous, even without a lot of people in there. If you're sensitive to loud noise, then you'll definitely want to sit outside. The Ugly: *Why aren't they closer to my house??? :(((((( Conclusion: Fantastic Michelin quality food, great beers, and friendly service. Fuck. I'd be here everyday, if I could.

Absolutely delicious smoked brisket sandwich. My goodness. Beer was fantastic also. Inside was clean and service was great. Would happily return.

Troegs is amazing!! The selection is more than beer and includes a handful of cocktails. I absolutely loved mine! The food menu has apps, entrees and handheld sandwiches. I had their popcorn as a snack after my very tasty chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. Seating is both indoor and outdoor. Staff was super friendly and was helpful with the menu.

I'm shocked that I had never been here before. But during this last visit, we decided to check it out. For the record, I don't drink much anymore but John does so we go to a lot of breweries. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The inside space was extremely large but also LOUD. We decided to sit outside. I ordered the tabbouleh salad with salmon added. It was delicious! I eat a lot of tabbouleh thanks to John's mom (trust me--she knows how to make it). We were impressed. We also ordered the sautéed vegetables for a starter. I wasn't a huge fan of it. The veggies weren't cooked enough for my liking and the sauce was unseasoned. But I was all over that salad. We enjoyed our meal so much that we wanted to come back but we ran out of time.

Delicious food. Went back for lunch two days in a row- I'm pregnant so obviously not drinking but strictly went back for the good food. We got the Brisket Sandwich and Pulled Pork Sandwich the first day and both were unbelievable. They smoke their meats in house and even make their own spicy ketchup. My husband said the beer was good too. Only let down was they were completely out of Hop Water and had no Non-Alcoholic beer but I was able to get a lemon sparkling water so I guess that's something. Will definitely be back.

Bucket List brewery officially checked off my list. I've loved Tröegs for years and their beer is absolutely incredible. I told myself that if I ever made it to PA (let alone Hershey) I would find a way to get here. It just so happens that a trip up north was going right through Hershey and I stopped by for a flight. My god did this place live up to the hype. It's massive but has intimate spaces like their beer garden and patio section. It's super busy on a Saturday yet the service was top notch. Delicious beer, great merch. Can't wait to come back!

I retired from drinking a long time ago, and I discovered that they make one heck of a "virgin Mary"! (a bloody Mary without the alcohol. ) Rich and tangy. I asked for just a small splash of Tabasco in it, and he got it just right. It was Amazing. I'm sorry I forgot to get a picture of the drink. For food, I started with the goat cheese, strawberry salad. Spinach, strawberries, almonds, goat cheese, and red onion, with a poppyseed vinaigrette. I ordered the "starter" portion, and it was huge! The spinach, strawberries, and onion were very fresh, I loved the almonds, the goat cheese was creamy, and had a fantastic Tang to it, and the poppyseed vinaigrette was creamy and delicious. I also ordered a cup of the gumbo, and it was also a very decent sized portion. The rice was just the right texture, it was rich, and it had just a little bit of a zip to it. Very, very good. I was pretty much stuffed from dinner, but I had to try the caramel croissant bread pudding for dessert. That too, was a very decent sized portion, the bread pudding was very savory, and the ice cream and caramel just played so perfectly off of it. This was an absolutely fantastic meal. It was a great evening. Everybody who worked there, especially the bartenders and servers, were beyond friendly and helpful. Also, the prices on the menu are very reasonable. I would like to come back to either here, or one of their other stores. Thank you!

This is a fairly large restaurant right on Main Street. There's ample garage parking in the back…read morefor the shops along the road. I had made a reservation, which made it easy for us to come in and grab a seat. We came in at 7:30pm and it was busy but not crowded. Overall, I would say that the food is decently good for the most part, however the kitchen and service was a bit wild. If I remember correctly from the previous year that I was here, the service was really slow, but last year it was crowed and packed. So I had thought it would've been because how busy the restaurant was....however, coming back again, I would say that they're just slow. Period. Other than our orders, things just kept getting messed up again and again. One thing that's confusing is that the on-line allegory menu is NOT consistent with what they tell you IN PERSON for the allergy alerts. All that to say, things that didn't have egg or dairy allergy (for my child) on-line had allergies when asked in person....confusing. But we had ordered food based off of the on-line menu for it to come back and say it had an allergy...so we changed our order. The apps and the kids food came out first, but the first order still came out and then we sent it back. Then the new order came "rushed" (but 15 min later) incorrectly AGAIN, and "rushed" for us to finally get our order for our kid only for it to come out incorrectly AGAIN. So it only took FOUR times and the communication wasn't there. Super frustrating at 8:30pm waiting for my kid to eat. WILD times (also nothing was done to mitigate this chaos). We had also asked for our broccoli to NOT be soggy but..,you guess it, it arrived soggy and we've been through so many back and fourth we didn't bring it up As for our food when we finally got it 45 - 50 min later.... Our main course adult meals were the pub burger with fries and Baja fish tacos with salad. The burger was pretty good, not dry but juicy and flavorful. The pretzel bun was decent, slightly better than Costcos, and the combo of the flavors were pretty good! Overall, solid burger with good flavors 4/5! Their fries in general are pretty lame, not crunchy and little flaccid and soft, not seasoned well either. Just meh, 2.5/5 The fish tacos were actually good, the fish was battered well with a great crisp and decent amount of fish inside and the sauce and toppings made it great. I probably could've gotten an extra one added to it as they were a little smaller in portion. Overall 4/5! The side salad was a little lame. Normal salad, 3/5. We got two appetizers the Philly cheesesteak rolls and pretzel sticks. Both were good! The cheesesteak rolls had a good crunch to it and decent amount of meat inside, I'd pair with the white sauce more than the red sauce but both kind of worked. 4/5! The pretzel sticks were good! The cheese and the mustard (a bit on the stronger mustard side) paired well with them. Pretzels were soft and had good amount of salt on them. 3.5/5 Overall, the food is good and have some good options, but with the service and how SLOW and how much of a headache the back and fourth is the orders were, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the hassle for the food. And there was no FOH or anyone apologizing or comping anything. Kind of disappointing tbh.

There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

Ambiance: 4/5 Nice, typical brewery vibes -- quiet, laid back, and a great space to hang out with friends. They have some neat arcade games in the back which is a fun touch. The outdoor seating exists but could use some freshening up to really elevate the outdoor dining experience. That said, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Solid spot. Service: 4/5 They did a really good job accommodating a large party. Not the most stellar service I've ever had, but no complaints. Great job overall. Drinks: 5/5 This is what they're known for, and rightfully so. Great beer selection -- tasty and a solid variety. Five out of five on the beers. My wife got the strawberry lemon drop, and she absolutely loved it -- said she could have had fifteen of them. It reminded her of a drink we had at a fancy bar in Vancouver that she hadn't found since. The fact that we found one in Central PA that matched it exactly is a real testament to the quality of their drink program here. Food: 4/5 When you look at the menu, you'll think you're in for a fine dining experience. Pump the brakes -- you're at a brewery, and the food is bar food. Good bar food, but bar food. We got a wide variety: * Wings: 3/5. Good, but could have been crispier. * Duck Fries: 5/5. Absolutely banging. Great truffle flavor. Would not hesitate to order these again -- highest recommendation at this establishment. * Nachos: 2/5. Big portion, I'll give them that. But subpar... just didn't do it for me or my friends. Try it yourself, but don't say I didn't warn you. * Harvest Salad w/ Crispy Chicken: 2/5. Twenty bucks for a small portion with a forgettable dressing. Would not order again. Overall: 4/5 Don't let the menu fool you into expecting fine dining. It's a brewery with a unique and wide-ranging menu, and they do a good job with it. Get the duck fries. Get the drinks. Enjoy the vibes. You'll have a great time.

This is a brewery and none of us enjoyed our selections. Food. My brother and I both had the Duke Chicken sandwich. He had fried, mine, grilled. Both were drowned in ranch making eating them as a sandwich impossible - the chicken as well as the toppings slid right out of the bun. We both agreed that the sandwich was just not very good. The fries looked amazing but couldn't deliver. I've been to Rubber Soul several times over the years.
