I recently the front door security gate installed. I let my wife and daughter picked the design and the type of security doors. (Because there were so many choices , my wife and my young adult daughter had different choices. Finally, we had to go with our daughter choice because she will take care of us when we are old. We had to maintain good term with our daughter ). The customer service person who answered all of my questions (even the "stupid ones" ) gave me the confidence this is a reputable company. Tyler, the installer - a pleasant guy, took his time to do a quality installation (not rushing ). He was not just doing a job, but provided the finest quality service. Thank you, Tyler. Within a week, neighbors who passed by were peeking at the gate and asked us about the gate. (Now, we are able to open the front door to let the cool air into the living room. The high quality screen keeps the bugs out ). The security door is a one time "investment" of money well spent with "lifetime" warranty. (Terms and Conditions are different from the type of products). I had Home Depot installed a security gate in the old house - no match to compare the quality and the looks. (Note: If the installation required a cut-out of the stucco, you had to buy and to match the same color paint. I was lucky there was a Kelly Moore paint store within 4 miles and a helpful manager there, who make sure I had a "perfect" match shades of color paint ( just a quart ) ! read more

My wife saw these guys at the Sacramento Home Expo. She was on a mission to look for a company that does security screen doors and found Steve's. We talked to the sales guy and my wife had a good feeling about them and made a decision to go with them without checking anyone else and made arrangements for them to come to the house for measurements and door design. They gave us a packet of many choices. We ended up purchasing doors for both the front and back entries. When it was time to install the doors, they installer was very prompt and courteous but I wanted the backdoor to swing opposite from normal and to my chagrin, I didn't think about the gate and door interfering with each other but luckily we have two gates to access the yard and driveway. My new priority retirement honeydew is to modify the gate because us being creatures of habit, we keep trying to go through the one gate. It'll be like Colonel Steve Austin....I can make it better, stronger and faster but much less than Six Million Dollars. Going back to the security doors - we are very pleased with the quality of the doors and the service they provided but it did come at a cost. It's better to get quality over cost. The doors are guaranteed against break ins. I bought and installed a cheap Home Depot door and my crackhead was able to pry it open and break into my first house. read more
