Didn't get the chance to eat anything. Our party of 8 were told we could't sit and order together but would have to split into groups of 4 and be at different ends of the dining room and order separately. According to the staff, this was the direction from the owner, Steve. They made it all about the meal but didn't care about the people. So, don't show up with a group of more than 4 and expect to eat together. We don't plan on returning with any size group. Maybe the food is good. But a meal is also about who you are eating with. This seems like a poor service model. read more

Came here after my dentist visit since I was craving a good slice of pizza. First, This is no way intended to disrespect any nationality but just to inform people. When you think of pizza you think of Italian's. Yes, I know Italians didn't invent the pizza, but in case your thinking that this is a good old fashion Italian pizza, it is not. Their actually Mexican. Again, no disrespect. If your good at what you do, then god bless you and I will still eat there. The pepperoni slice was tasty, but greasy from the pepperoni. But, a really good place prevents that grease from building up. Their green pepper slice, I didn't like because they put no work into the prep of the pepper, you should not be able to taste raw pepper in the slice. Even though they do slice it thin, I can still taste the raw pepper. The sausage slice was probably the best of all three. The sausage was ground up and not greasy at all. I would also not go to this place after a certain time, because the slices are not fresh. They do tend to sit out a lot because of the not so high traffic area, I'm assuming. The slice I had from the whole pie, the dough was even, had a crispy texture to it. The cheese was alright and the sauce was OK Now, the highlight of the evening. The Garlic Knots Oh yes, they have one of the best Garlic knots around that area. Nice light and fluffy, could use a little bit more butter. Garlic was the right amount. SPRINKLE some grated Parmesan cheese and its a party. Also, gotta do something with that marinara sauce. God awful. Watery. The sauce should not repel once the garlic knot is dipped into it like oil in water. Also, don't like the idea that the owner has a min of $10 on a credit card use. If my order is around $8 and some change, I think you should look the other way. Not offer me another slice to make up the difference, that's just poor business decision. Specially, when you get charged on percentage to the sale. Normally 6,7, or 8%, Now that I think of it, just lost another star. read more

We love this place! We order pizza (typically delivered) and are consistently happy. We live about a mile away and it is always in the timeframe offered when ordered. The usual guy that delivers is always smiling, happy and upbeat. On occasion we order and enjoy the Sicilian, but typically order a large pie, well done - crispy. We get what we order... the way it should be. During this Covid-19 era, I've been picking up our pizza to get out of the house. That, and there is a liquor store next to them. Perfect. Not authentic Italian food, I tried a few dishes there over the years, mostly the stuffed shells, meatballs, lasagna. They are all very bland with not much flavor to speak of. The pizza is average at best. The service is the main detriment along with the lack of flavor. I tried to order today and 2 separate people got on the phone from Steve's and tried to take my order but English is clearly not their first language and neither of them could understand my simple order which I practically had to yell into the phone and enunciated the heck out of and finally I just said nevermind and hung up. If you are going to have people taking orders, they should be able to fluently speak and understand English. Although I went into the shop and found that some of them have egos and aren't very friendly, I politely asked what brand of cheese they use on their pizza, and was told "I don't know, it's mozzarella." I had a reliable, in-the-know friend recommend this place to me when I moved here a few years ago. Their pizza IS good, but their delivery service SUCKS. They've gotten lost getting to my house on SEVERAL occasions (it's not that hard to find), and are ALWAYS late. Horrible people. They answer the phone with an attitude and you can barely get through an order without them hanging up on you. Foods not worth it with the kind of service they give you. Had a meatball parm sub for lunch on a Wednesday. It was bland and somewhat disappointing. I got home from work late that night and skipped dinner and went to bed. I was blasting firehose diarrhea the next morning. It is now Sunday afternoon and I'm still not right. The only people that should get food here are biology students from Rutgers that are looking to grow something in a petri dish. This review isn't about their pizza, which is pretty good! I never write reviews and we have ordered many times and the food has been ok, this time, we ordered a fried calamari, meatball sub and a californmia cheesesteak sandwich. The food was hot when it got there but was just awful!! And we were both so looking forward to the food. The calamari was greasy and chewy (my husband just threw it away), his meatball sub, the sauce was bland and the meatballs had no flavor. When I looked at mine (cheesesteak), I couldn't even find any meat. By looking at it you couldn't tell what kind of sub it was, hardly any meat at all, mostly lettuce and tomatoes which were fresh and crisp. Now, their pizza is ok, we should have had that....oh well. Needless to say, Steve's, whoever was working that night didn't do their job and it made me not want to order subs from you again. read more
