I will start by saying that the staff was working really hard to accommodate customers and working as quickly as they could. Unfortunately, the team was way too behind to meet customer orders, and as a result there was more chaos than is needed at a salad place. It seemed like the team fell rapidly behind between online and in person orders with most customers waiting 30mins+ during lunch. Given that this was a work day, there seemed to be a lot of frustration around the whole place -especially with people needing to rush back to work. My real disappointment though was the food. I ordered the fit and fueled, and the restaurant forgot the romaine. The entire dish was also scarce on all ingredients except for the shredded carrots and quinoa. There were a few tomatoes, feta, cucumbers, and bits of chicken scattered about, making the dish overall just carrots and quinoa. While I initially chose to dine in, I soon had to switch to takeout given the time it took to get my meal. However, between the yelling of customers and team and overall chaos of the place, dining in did not seem as relaxing as I first thought it would be. I did hear this place is still only a couple months old, so if I were more local Id wait a bit for operations to smoothen out before giving it another shot, but wouldn't discount it entirely based on my one experience. read more

I have to say for a spot that had several people sitting in her. It is one of the cleanest salad spots I've seen. Floor free of dropped salad and messy people. Definitely can tell they clean up after customers leave. Staff welcoming entering the door. I ordered to pick up and with a 5 min wait it was ready. College area so a lot of people picking up and leaving. Parking in New Brunswick is never easy or good unless you go to a garage. I was able to find street meter parking and it runs 7 mins per quarter. The Teriyaki bowl was OK. Mostly rice. And only 4 shrimp. 6-7 shimp would have made this the perfect bowl. My daughter had the Ciabatta sandwich. Sorry Yelp she has not learned the camera eat before she do. So no photo. But was told it was little pretty good. Chicken was tasty. The Backyard BBQ salad with a little Chipotle kick looks good. But will eat later. Over all its a nice place for healthier eating. Glad I tried this place. The parking would be the only reason I am limited on this place. But it is a great location for the college kids. read more

I've been meaning to try this place as it's a short walk from my office. The prices are reasonable for sure as any salad on their menu ordered elsewhere at the surrounding restaurants would cost at least $10 more. Absolutely Delicious!! I had the blackened chicken stay classy cesar salad with cucumbers, roasted chickpeas with tomatoes. My favorite was the dressing on the side. The portion was perfect. Lets get straight to it. First it really sucks they dont have a delivery service. I really dislike the fact that they frequently make mistakes on the orders. The worst part about that is that they wont do anything about it because delivery is through a third party so all they say is let me talk to my manager and they put you on hold. Sometimes they will answer or just leave you on hold. They have an excuse for everything . So its a lost cause. But my 2 stars comes from the fact that when they first opened up they started off great and then as time passed the portions got smaller. The same mistake most restaurants are doing to make a profit or break even idk im just guessing Very dumb to short the customers. Dont recommend the grain bowls because you pay $14 for a half empty container. Now they just smear a little rice like it was hummus and the bowl is half empty. Such a big bowl for little food. This is a terrible magic trick that will fool no one. Make the containers smaller so you can actually put food in there. Ive been to atleast 10 restaurants that are pulling these same bad acts. Very stupid thing to do when you try to jerk the customer to save a dollar or make a profit . You will lose customers trust me . Ill find somewhere else to go. And its not a money thing to me ill gladly pay $20- $25 for a bowl but fill it up. You open up your bowl not knowing if someone helped you eat your food before you got it. read more

So I've never eaten here - but I have ordered from here at least 3 times in the last month with coworkers at hospitals. The food is always excellent. Great choices. You feel better choosing this spot over other take out options. Service is excellent. Nowadays people always expect a 5 star review for doing the minimum or what's expected. But 5 stars should mean going above and beyond. This place truly deserves 5 stars. We ordered at a spot over a half hour away. One item was forgotten. I was contacted prior to my order even arriving, and told of the error. The manager drove out to deliver the item himself. This is the definition of 5 star service. Loving this new Salad House location!!! Super clean and modern inside, easy ordering on tablets or at the register. And best of all, great food! Menu is way more exciting and tasty than your average salad place. Everything we had was delicious. I paid $6 extra for this..? I'm disappointed because I came to Salad House others days (and even go the same thing -- ceasar salad with steak) but this looks so disappointing. Seems like the consistency isn't there in their early stages unfortunately. Also, thr steak was overcooked so much. Maybe the blonde guy who cooked it should stay away from the kitchen. Overall, I tend to like their food.. this was just such a stark quality difference. Edit: I keep coming back to this because it floors me how bad it was in comparison to previous days. Recently it has been a bit better, but I used to order the Chipotle Chicken Wrap and the rice would taste stale and contain less than the Salad House in Red Bank which I have no complaints about. I'm writing the review now because I got this for doordash and I have had a dasher reassigned 3 times because Salad House is making them wait. Apparently it's a bit busy...but it has been well over an hour and they still haven't prepared my order. Either the staff working there isn't working fast enough, or they are understaffed and need to hire help. read more
