A couple of days ago my MDX auto security system melted down in the Home Depot parking lot in Watz. I think it was Steve that showed up. He ended up calling another AAA truck with a needed part. He worked on my car for about 1 1/2 hours. He was very polite and respectful about the situation I was in at the time. The horn was screaming and I could not unlock the car. How to make friends in a parking lot!! I was very impressed with how Steve problem solved the issue with the goal of getting me home safely. He calmly went over the alternatives...none of which were very attractive. I have ordered new parts and cannot use my security system (MDX) until it is repaired, but I got home safely....Huge thanks to Steve and AAA one of my favorite service organizations...just another example of consistently providing excellent service to the community.... I locked my keys in the car and was assigned Steve's Roadside Service. I was really happy with the quick response. JJ arrived quickly and was friendly and communicative. My car broke down on the way to Watsonville on hwy 129, I called AAA and they dispatched Steve's roadside assistance to help me. I can't speak highly enough about my experience with Steve the owner. The response time was half the expected wait of 1 hour, once arrived he let me know that his truck was not fit to tow my car due to a possibility of damage to my oil pan. He dispatched a flatbed and waited with me until the truck arrived. I was on my way to deliver groceries to my brother, so I was unable to travel with my car back to San Jose. Summary: Terrible customer service and THEY CANCELED MY TOW REQUEST AND LEFT ME STRANDED Longer version: My roadside assistance service sent my towing request to Steve's. I had been expecting a tow service to arrive at 3:30 (based on earlier updates), so by 4:30, I was getting pretty nervous, and I checked with my service, but their automated update just kept saying the ETA was about an hour out (despite the 15-20 minutes that passed between checking). Unbeknownst to me, the service who had originally given me the ETA of 3:30 had canceled, and my service then sent it to Steve's. But not getting any communication or useful updates from Steve's, I called them directly. All of their phone tree menu options send you to a phone number that no one answers ("All of our representatives are busy helping other customers") and ask you to leave voicemail, except all the mailboxes are also full, so you can't. When I finally reached a person, he was extremely rude and said he "didn't need to deal with this", that he was cancelling my request, and my service could find someone else to tow me. These are not the people you want to ask for help when you have an emergency. At that point, I called my roadside assistance service, who called 831 Towing, and they arrived in about 10 minutes. TEN. MINUTES. I suppose I should thank the horribly rude person at Steve's who canceled my request, because if he hadn't, I would've still been waiting another hour for them to arrive, and instead, 831 Towing was there in 10 minutes. And think about the fact that, at the time I was talking to him, he said he had only received the request 45 minutes earlier (because neither of us realized that they were only called after the original tow service backed out). But add the 1 hr ETA to the 45 minutes he had already had the request, and (ignoring the rudeness of canceling the request and leaving me stranded) I would've still been waiting almost 2 hours for them to arrive. Instead of 10 minutes. Call 831 Towing instead. You're welcome. read more

l sat for 5 HR waiting for A tow from AAA approved Steves roadside service. Plus had.no clue what town they were even coming from. . Totally unacceptable for a AAA approved company When they initially gave me a 2 HR window to arrive. After the 2 hrs went a man called and said it would be 1 more hour after another hour a women called said they were on there way it took another hour before truck actually.arrived Rossi towing was always on site with in an hour of estimated time. Hope there arrival times gets better read more

my car would not start - called AAA a tow to give me a jump and bring new battery. they arrived jumped my car and called the owner to listen to the sound my car was making. was told sounded like fuel pump problem. they were unable to start my car even with new battery. they wanted to tow my car and fix the problem. I declined. they felt shady from the get go. I had my car towed to my mechanic next morning. my mechanic said all I needed was new battery and he put a new one in. I missed 2 nights of the start of my vacation because of these scammers. beware.I am cancelling my AAA - they need to do more research on tow companies that they send to customers. Steve saved the night for me as I was on the side of the freeway - actually in the median, between the 5 North and 5 South! I didn't feel comfortable waiting in my car as it was so close to the fast lane on the side so I stood in the rain to be safe. Had the most amazing tow experience with Steve today! He was there on time and was extremely patient with our difficult situation of towing our older broken down van. He went above and beyond for us and took his time and had a great attitude the entire time! We have had multiple tows before and none of the tow truck guys had the customer service that Steve has. We had to tow our van from Brentwood to San Jose and he even gave us ETA times on the way there! My car was hit by a red light runner tonight and I desperately needed it towed to my body shop 30 miles away. Triple A told me it would take two hours for a tow truck to arrive, but just over an hour later Steve was there and loaded up my car while I was still on the phone with my insurance company. Steve is such a nice guy. Our tire shredded while we were driving on the 205. It was nighttime and very dark outside. We needed help getting the lug nuts off and called Steve. He was there easily within the time he told us, and quickly and efficiently replaced the tire. His cost was extremely reasonable. I'm breathing deeply again and so glad we called him. Steve's Roadside assistance towed my 2006 Honda Pilot when stuck on I-205 E through my auto insurance company. I was able to personally speak with him and did not rush me to get a ride home considering I was not allowed to ride in his tow truck due to Covid-19 precautions. He patiently waited for my call to tow my truck until I was pick up from the side of the busy freeway. My tire blew and my fiance and I couldn't get the tire off my car. I was already late to work and I was pretty stressed out. After our borrowed 14' enclosed trailer blew a tire we felt SOL. Called our insurance, who connected us to Steve's Roadside Assistance. Once Steve received call he communicated that the claim was done incorrectly and likely would have to be out of pocket but to have insurance call him directly. Well he was right-no coverage. Called owner's insurance-no coverage. We called Steve back and he gave us some options without needing to pay out of pocket. After several hours of making calls on our part we called Steve and asked him to come help us tow the trailer to somewhere we could have it fixed. All tire stores were closed so we couldn't even call to see if they had the right tire. Steve arrived and explained some options sharing his knowledge of the area and local businesses and keeping the cost down as we paid out of pocket. When Steve and Dwayne or Darrel (Apologies dint recall what his name was) started loading the trailer onto the truck it was obvious that Steve is a pro. He carefully strapped in several parts of the trailer and used blocks of wood to ensure that the trailer received minimal damage in the loading and unloading. He is kind, knowledgeable, and hard working. Both men went overboard to make it easier for us and our three small young children who had been waiting with us. Highly highly recommend their services! One of my workers locked his keys in the car, he called AAA and gave the dispatcher my direct desk line so that I could guide the driver in to our secured lot once he arrived. ACE got the call but called our main line instead of my line and could not get a hold of my worker so left and refused to send another truck out. Steve's took the job, followed directions and called my line, I was able to give the driver directions and got him thru security and within minutes he completed the lock out. Thank you for the excellent service and understanding. Our workers aren't allowed to carry their cell phones at work plus the cell service isn't the greatest in our distribution center so calling my direct line was the only way he was going to be able to get help early in the day instead of when he got off work at 11pm which relieved his stress. Well let me just say I've been traveling this route for months, as to my issue I'd never thought I'd have 2 flats at once. Plus being in the canyon with no service made things extremely difficult. Once i reached out to AAA i was connected to Steve's towing. Mind you after walking for 25 minutes with no reception i was finally connected to Steve's towing and once contact was made my tow truck driver went as far as saying to meet him at the tire shop i didn't have to go back to the vehicle location with him.. I'll go as far as saying my tow truck driver was outstanding and extremely friendly with my advice to all is reach out to Steve's towing if you need his services.. thanks tow truck driver for dropping me off at American tires.. read more

Owner of this tow company sucks. Not trying to help me out because my car was lowered. Waited 2 hours for him to come out. For him to tell me my car was too low and he wasn't going to tow. He say he had 13 years experience. But I seen guys that just started towing with in a year know how to tow a lower car on a same flatbed that he had. Guess not everyone is made to be a towing company. You should have ALL the equipment to tow any car if your a towing company. That's been in business for 13 years. And Not leave people stranded and not able to help out. Sorry towing company that should'nt be In Business. Would not recommend this company he will leave you stranded. Bad service bad experience bad company that don't know how to tow. Should be shut down if you can't tow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Says a lot 13 years in the business and only 2 reviews.
