As someone who had many Philly cheesesteak's in Philadelphia when you think of a half sandwich it is HUGE. Not here. The half sandwiches are about the size of your palm. Now, service was great! Is it weird that I enjoyed the fries a bit more than the sandwich? It was that good! I got the veggie "cheesesteak" and it was really good. I am generally not a picky eater and I also give a lot of grace when it comes to service but Stevie D's was a very disappointing experience. When we entered there were 2 people already eating and 3 standing a the register ordering and they took FOREVER to make up their minds. But that being said, there were no other customers around. We had a very simple order of 2 cheesesteaks with no onion and two orders of fries. We waited almost 40 minutes to receive our food. That by itself was ridiculous. I opened the food and was immediately disappointed. Nothing about our order was appetizing. I felt the food looked icky. I didn't eat the fries because they ate just not the kind of fries I've ever enjoyed and the sandwich was "fair." That's really all I can say. Unfortunately, we have no plans to return. read more

I'm no Philly Steak aficionado, not like my wife is, but I have to say this was wicked good! The few I've had in the past were strips of meat on a roll. The flavors of the onions and cheese wasn't permeated through entire meat area. This was not the case here. The meat is chopped up on the grill and the cheese melted through out. The flavor was great! The French fries were really wicked good as well!! I did get a chance to watch the chef make some of the sandwiches while we ate, as the kitchen is visible behind the counter. He added the meat strips to the griddle then chopped it up with the onions as it cooked. A few times he lifted the meat with the spatulas he used to drain the grease, then scrapped it off the griddle, cooked some more than repeated. He then lined the meat up to the length of the bun, added this huge slice of cheese on top, place the sliced bun on top of all of that, than place the metal dome on top. He let it sit on there for probably 3-4 minutes. The process was actually interesting, it wasn't just cook some meat, throw it on some bread and add some cheese on top, there was a purpose to how it was done. I don't know what kind of bread they used for my sandwich, but it was perfect: not too dense or thin, but just right to hold all the meat and cheese. The meat to bread ratio was perfect also. They didn't try to over stuff it with cheese instead of meat like some places try to do. Fries are fresh cut also! Everything about this place is worth the money. Upon entering the store you notice a large, open and clean space, with the chairs/tables equally spaced to accommodate the Covid-19 requirements. Had been trying to get to this place for a while and finally made it. I got two original philly's one with bell peppers and the other with bell peppers and mushrooms. I was disappointed because the flavor just wasn't there and it was overly juicy and the meat was grainy. I also didn't like that they charge you for mushrooms and bell peppers. Beef Texas Southwestern: 5/5 The flavor was bomb on it and seasoned just right. Was super cheesy and the bread was sooo soft. Do I need a FULL cheesesteak? Definitely not, but these are so good I've had a full one twice. The fries are made in house. You can order the cheesesteak with any combination of meat, cheese or veggies you prefer. Their hours are limited, but this is a spot worth driving by and trying! I've been meaning to try this place for so long! I use to get massages next door but the massage parlor closed down. I came here today with my bf because our friends recommended this place. And I'm glad we finally decided to try it. My man knows I looooove philly cheese steaks. But I'm also really picky about my phillys. You'd think Phillys are not that hard to make, but when you try to find one that hits the spot, they're never to be found. I've been settling for Charleys for the time being. AND this is the first dining place that I've came across that actually ABIDES by CDC guidelines and set up their restaurant to abide by laws for COVID. Okay but honestly it's really good, it hit the spot, I usually add Mayo and ketchup to mine and the sauces combined with the natural flavors and sauces of the meat is dripping off your sandwich and their sub is soft. (Which is how you want it, not hard and dry like hooters and other restaurants.) They also have fries, onion rings, tatertots. (You can also add to it: mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.) It comes with white am. Cheese but you can upgrade to provolone, cause you know, gotta have that provoloneeee. The steak is done CORRECTLY. Correctly?? You mean the steak can be prepared wrong? Short answer: YES. The steak is suppose to be chopped up, CHOPPED UP, but on the grill with the onions. And you can just tell when you eat it. I almost grabbed one for the road but I just know it's best when it's fresh. The place is well kept, upon entering the staff was cleaning which is a great sign. The service here is also really great, the lady in front is super sweet. The chef in the back was whipping up our food. And it's a semi open kitchen, so you can kind of see what's going on in there.
