I hired Mr. Howard Stanley to Pour me a Concrete Slab in the Spring. His workmanship can best be…read moredescribed as Careless and Shoddy. It is the worst slab I have ever seen. In the middle of the project he informed me that I would need to have a driveway extension done for which he grossly overcharged me according to several concrete experts that came to review the aftermath of his work. Naturally he charged me extra for the extension which was not on our original contract. Presently the extension to the driveway is crumbling away because of how badly it was done. The Slab also failed to meet the specifications outlined in our original contract. Not only is the slab uneven and not level; but it was also short by nearly one foot which makes it unusable for my purposes. Mr. Stanley was given more than 30 days to correct the flaws but he came out a handful of times and did some patchwork repairs and grinding in a poor attempt to level out the slab. In over a month he came for a grand total of about 4 hours. Mr. Howard Stanley made a myriad of excuses for not being able to come and make the necessary repairs. He failed to meet most of the contract and claims now that he has no money to refund me. Mr. Stanley demanded full payment even though the work was obviously not completed. I paid Mr. Stanley in good faith expecting to have a professional slab; unfortunately I ended up with a pile of rubble and some lame apology from Mr. Stanley. I saved for months in order to be able to afford to have this done and Mr. Stanley took advantage of me and did a terrible job. I have been forced to hire a Lawyer in order to make this right. I have made a complaint with the state Board against him. I am bewildered how someone who does such terrible work can stay in business. Reading other reviews I can see that this is a pattern. I would not recommend Elite Concrete or any other company that Howard Stanley hides behind.

He was friendly, professional, and got the job done quickly. He removed the tree limb and temporarily patched the hole until they can come out later in the week to repair the roof and drywall. So when our crawl space needed some work Jay with TriStar was one of the people I called to get an estimate from. Not only was he very responsive in coming out and giving an estimate, but his estimate was less than another well-known contractor I talked to. When I decided to wait for months before deciding to do the work, Jay was very professional about it and his original estimate still applied four months later. Once I hired him, the work went very smoothly. Jay is really easy to communicate with and he clearly communicated to me about what would be done and when, and stuck to it! The work was done well, on time and on budget. When there was a freak problem (a nail somehow got driven up from the crawl space through the hardwood floor in our living room), I texted Jay about it...he texted me back immediately and had someone at the house a couple days later to repair the issue, no questions asked. I can't even tell where the nail was now! I've heard horror stories about bad contractors who aren't reliable or responsible and are hard to get ahold of and communicate with...TriStar is the complete opposite of that. I'm so glad I chose them based on seeing their top notch work at my parents' home, because my experience was no different. I'd definitely recommend them.

I was totally amazed on how nice everything came out. The crew was punctual and did their job with the upmost precision. I also had a bench that needed to be power washed and came back like new I also had concerns on my ugly brick wall due to efflorescence if there was anything that could resolve the issue. The biggest challenge was determining how to run the gas line. It took a lot of discussion between Todd from Siteworks and their "gas" people, but they figured it out. While I contacted them in December, my only requirement was that it be done in time for Easter. The snow, ice, sleet and rain did not hinder them from getting it done in the nic of time!
