I contacted Terry Madsen at High Street Automotive through Yelp. Terry asked me to send the failed test report to him, and convinced me the sensor most likely are good. I just needed a proper drive to reset the sensors. I listened to him and drove the car follow the suggested driving pattern for ~40 miles. It passed! I most appreciated is the he offered his expert opinion without charge. Terry was not only just asked questions online. He went to extra miles ask me to send test report through email he gave to me during online exchange. It is rare nowadays.

I didnt like what the other place quoted me so decided to shop around. Found Stress free which is a ten minute walk from my house. I started with fluid flush and replacement services. My first appointment was for my transmission fluid. They were performing their free routine inspection and found two problems I didn't even know I had. My battery was on its last legs and they caught the low voltage. The week prior, I thought it was my key fob and just replaced the battery in my key fob. They saved me from being stranded with a dead battery. Then they noticed a giant nail in the inner sidewall if one of my rear tires. I always inspect my tires before I commute every day but never check the inside since I cant see it. Again, saved me from a blow out on the bridge. I agreed to have them replace the tire. They tracked one down from a place in San Jose. Installed same day. The tech did scratch my rim when mounting the tire, as seen in photo. Not to worry. George immediately pointed it out and offered to fix it by outsourcing to have it repainted asap. Oni worked tirelessly with me and around my schedule to complete this task. Even offered me a loaner so I wouldnt be without a car. Very happy with the result and youd never know it was scratched. I brought it back for both coolant flush and brake fluid flush services, as well as my oil change. All three visits had service promotion coupons available. Very happy with the transparency of price, convenience of being open Saturday AND SUNDAY, cleanliness of location and comfortable waiting room if you choose to wait while repairs are being done. This was clearly caused by their negligence and I had a kid in my car who was very scared. When I returned, instead of fixing their mistake, they claimed they had no availability and said they could repair it next week leaving me without any vehicle for the whole weekend. Breaking something during service and then asking the customer to wait for the whole weekend to fix it is beyond ridiculous. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible.

Jack personally went next door to check on my car, and offered me 10% off repairs. I was told I could drop my car off the next day without needing another appointment. I met Sal, who has such a wonderful and charming personality, and it was great to meet Jack in person, too. Within an hour, I had the full analysis and estimate, and around 2:30, a couple of hours before closed, I was called and told the car wouldn't be finished, and asked if I'd like to come pick it up for the weekend (which I declined, we didn't need it!). The prices were fair, and their system of telling you what absolutely needs work versus what they recommend to be worked on was so great in helping me understand what was wrong with the car. My experience with them made me tell my husband that I'd drive to them if we ever moved out of the area. I can't recommend this place enough (just make sure you drive all the way to the green building and dont let anyone stop you like I did!)

Last summer, they painted the entire exterior from a dirty dull beige to a lively white with black trim. They patched up all the holes/cracks in the stucco, power washed, and taped EVERYTHING! At the end of each day, they cleaned up and put away the tools so the house was still accessible. It's crazy how different the house looks compared to before. I'm just loving it! Then over the winter, Chris' team returned because I wanted my garage refinished. I had 70s paneling and broken/crumbling dry wall. Considering how much time I spend in my garage, I can't believe I lived with such an eye sore for so many years. I gave Chris the hard task of wanting smooth walls, and if you know...that's a whole lot of sanding. His team came through and delivered! I love the new paint color on the walls, and no longer despise my garage. Oh, and also want to mention that he also patched up a bunch of holes inside my house (from electrical work I had done) and matched the existing wall texture and paint. You can't even tell the difference. Overall, Chris is amazing to work with. He's super responsive via text/calls. I really wanted to get my car back because I live in SJ and did not want to take an UBER home for a 2nd night. By end of day, my car repair was complete. I picked up my car and got to meet Devon my service liaison and he was so kind and gave me thorough explanation of work done. I had my car back and the repair did not pinch my pocket book too much and I was back on the road. I appreciate and thankful for the service center's commitment to get me back on the road.

He was very thorough, did a computer check, thorough check under the truck and on the engine, and test drive, and was able to see that a light had been replaced, rust had been painted over, a previous accident/damage had occurred that was not on the CarFax, the rear differentials were leaking and needed replacement, and there were some small leaks in the engine as well that would require future repair as well (along with other smaller things). There was at least $2500 worth of work that would have to be done to be safe to tow immediately and about $4000 total of work within a year. He thought the truck was overpriced at $17,900 with the fixes needed. I tried to negotiate the price for these fixes and the dealer would not budge a single cent. They were obviously not used to a mechanic checking out their trucks. He saved me $4000 worth of fixes on an overpriced truck so walked away. Very honest guy and highly recommend.
