I would gain so much weight if I ate here as much as I'd like. The Magic Cookies are stupid good. The staff is friendly and this place is always buzzing with activity. Can't go wrong here. My one complaint is that they're not open 24 hours a day, but I really can't blame them for that. People need to sleep. :) read more

Fantastic bagel sandwiches (at Stick Boy Kitchen). Love their cookies--especially the seasonal ones. Coffee drinks are top-notch, but can get a bit pricey if you got often. Mmm mmm mmm! My parents, who are locals, have been raving about Stick Boy bakery. My family and I have been visiting the area for the past week and have stopped by not once, but twice! Traveling about 30 miles to get there each time! The place is located in the heart of ASU (lucky college kids!!). It isn't a huge location, but they pack a lot in there! Not only typical bakery items (bread, pastries, cakes, etc.) but also have a coffee bar. The parking lot is quite small, and was jam packed both times we were there this week. The magic cookies are SO good and unique to boot! I had a chocolate chip scone that was good, but not mind blowing. Their cinnamon rolls with cream cheese are quite delicious too. You can sign up for text deals which is nice too. I am glad I don't live nearby or I'd be dropping lots of money and gaining lots of pounds here at Stick Boy! read more

Nice but limited selection of baked goods that are reasonably priced. Everything is housemate and delicious. We selected two scones: maple walnut (not too sweet) and spinach cheddar (savory but not too flavorful). The texture of both was light and flakey. We also bought a loaf of sourdough. Excellent crumb, a chewy crust. A nice bread for sandwiches and snacking. There is ice cream, coffee and tea for sale as well. Helpful and enthusiastic staff. Fine local business. read more

Stick Boy has been my absolute favorite bakery since I moved to Boone. They have the most delicious baked goods! I personally love all of their freshly made breads! The BEST bakery in the state. The guys down at SBB Co. know what they are doing when it comes to creating beautiful masterpieces of baked goodness. Their cookies and cakes are to die for! This place has the absolute best foccacia bread on earth. No lie. And my favorite of their foccacias is the spinach walnut feta. Oh, my. It doesn't get any better than that. Their chocolate chip cookies are a study in closest packing (that's a term from crystal chemistry meaning how closely molecules...or in this case, chocolate chips...can be crammed together). Every time I come to Boone (about once a month) I hit up stick boy kitchen (off Boone Heights) and get the grenade breakfast bagel and a latte. Seriously, it is always the best part of my trip! I am pretty picky about breakfast sandwiches (always substituting things) but the grenade is the perfect combination of bacon, egg, cream cheese, spinach and jalepeno. Just the right amount of heat, that gets cut by the cream cheese. The greasiness of the bacon and egg are balanced with the fresh spinach. I get mine on an everything bagel and have never once been disappointed! Definitely recommend. Oh and did I mention they serve bfast all day? The lattes are a delight as well. read more

This is a must when in town! The truly artisan breads, which change daily, are delicious! Our favorites include the Garlic Cheddar, Nàan, and Spinach Feta.
