The cinnamon rolls were pretty dang good. However, the sweetness was totally offset by the salty, bitterness of the woman ringing me up. Which, looking at her wedding photo on the wall leads me to believe she is one of the owners. The woman behind the counter seriously deserves an Olympic medal for somehow making a bakery feel hostile. I asked a couple of simple questions about the products and was met with so much visible annoyance that I started wondering if I was accidentally asking for state secrets instead of information about cinnamon rolls and coffee. How can you have a bakery and just visibly hate the people in your establishment?? When I got back to the car, I looked up the reviews because I genuinely thought, "Surely this can't be normal." Reader... it was and it seems to be happening at an alarming rate. Clearly she reads these reviews....clearly SHE is the problem. Apparently a bearded guy is also a total jerk but thankfully we didn't have the displeasure of dealing with him ...we saw some tall guy sans beard behind her but he kept to himself. Review after review described the exact same experience, which was oddly validating and equally disappointing. I'm just happy we parked in an actual parking spot bc apparently that's something else that's very triggering to them. It's a shame because the baked goods are genuinely tasty. But a cozy roadside bakery isn't just about great pastries. People come expecting warmth, friendliness, and a little Vermont charm. Right now, the cinnamon rolls are doing all the heavy lifting and honestly when it's served alongside that kind of coldness and attitude, they just simply aren't worth it. Awesome little spot! So awesome we came 2 days in a row. They have amazing croissants! I ate mine so fast I forgot to take a picture. We have had the regular croissant, chocolate croissant and ham and cheese croissants. They have a small selection but everything looks so good. They have an assortment of breads, cookies, muffins, a prepackaged ice coffees/tea, ice cream and self serve slow drip coffee. Inside is very small, more of an order and go place. The lady at the checkout was very nice! The parking lot is small and can be tricky when crowded or after fresh snow. They ask that you don't double park. They can also sell out! So if you have your heart set on something, go in the morning. On the holiday (pres day) they were nearly sold out by 11:30AM. I am not sure if they restock. With a new award-winning baker, Sticky Fingers Bakery is outstanding. I got the cinnamon bun fresh out of the oven and it was heavenly. The roll portion was a very tasty yeasty bread, while the insides were slathered in delicious brown sugar, cinnamon, and icing. Everyone I was with was moaning with delight as they ate the sticky buns and exclaimed how good these rolls were. But don't sleep on the bread! We got a baguette and a rosemary sea salt ciabatta. Drove here from Bennington due to 5 star reviews and the cinnamon rolls. First off, the cinnamon roll was not i expected. Not the soft pillowy dough. It's more like a sourdough cinnamon roll. The apple strudel croissant was good. The chocolate croissant could use a little bit more chocolate. We liked the oatmeal cookie. The chocolate chip was okay. They were big though. They do bake the goodies on the premises. They also have sourdough breads. The man taking orders seems aloof. If you are in town give it a try but i will not come back. read more

We did not get to try because they were sold out with the holiday weekend. There are signs posted about not going through in 3 places but if you make the mistake in pulling into the exit instead of the entrance it's hard to make a 3 point turn. We did not want to risk hitting anyone or anything backing up. Place seemed empty so we had pulled through the back (one way) which was our mistake because we had the same experience as below. Someone was outside and yelled at us about our driving, how 3 signs are posted and abruptly left. We would have loved to have come back when on a different day and they weren't sold out but clearly our misstep was too great. I already was not feeling great due to health related issues and the confrontation brought me to tears after we left. I am still crying as I write this. So, have you ever watched Seinfeld? The owner is EXTREMELY concerned with the flow of traffic through the narrow driveway, which is in principle a good idea, but it's an easy mistake to make because of the giant "open" sign on the exit only side, plus a truck blocking view of the parking lot entrance, plus the fact that it's almost impossible to turn around safely if you accidentally pull into the exit side. The owner's response to this mistake was to refuse service to us (No pastries for you!) and to lock the door in my face when I tried to explain why the signage is confusing. I am skiing for the first time at Mt Snow. No skiing today due to rain. I don't know the area so when I saw this cute bakery I pulled in. I didn't see the 5"x7" sign stating "one way". It was too late to turn around as I follow another car into the stick fingers bakery. When I went in behind two girls We were rudely confronted by "Red Beard". And he told us to come back tomorrow as he would not serve us because we didn't see the tiny one way sign ...plus not knowing the area. My daughter & I stopped around 10:15 a.m. on a Sunday. All parking spaces were taken. There is no handicapped space. I have a handicapped placard & can't walk too far. So we decided to take turns going in while one of us stayed e car in case a place became avaliable or if someone needed us to move our car to pull out of one the 5 or 6 spaces. Of course we wouldn't have blocked any vehicle coming in or out. But when I went in after my daughter came out, the two older adults who were baking (owners?) asked if the car was mine. I said yes and the woman loudly said, "You need to move it. You can't block other cars in the parking lot." I explained that my daughter would absolutely move it if someone needed to get in or out. (My entire transaction would have taken about 2 minutes) I said my daughter would never be rude enough not to move! They both started shouting LOUDLY at me. I was stunned! "It's a fire dept. regulation," they yelled. Then they sent the young man who had just taken my order out to tell my daughter to move, but before he could even speak to her, the tall bearded baker stormed out to YELL at her. He stormed back in to tell me she didn't have the key. The engine was on ACC & I didn't realize she'd need the key to start the engine. OK. . . by now I could have paid and been on my way, but they preferred a lot of DRAMA. I took the key out. My daughter stated the engine. No one was blocked in. No one needed to enter or leave the space. I was silly enough to ask if I could get some tap water in my water bottle. "No. I can't do that," said the polite young man. OK, I said. The bakerman told me the water was not not tested and it was a regulation. I silently wondered if they use the untested water in their baked goods or to brew coffee. But I didn't say anything. But the bakerwoman SNARKILY and LOUDLY said they can't fill up everyone's water bottles. (OK, I thought. Just stop screaming at me!) The nice young man handed me my cinnamon bun and told me coffee was serve yourself, behind me. "That will be $10.50" I looked at the register & said , "How much? Sorry, I don't want to pay $6.95 for a cinnamon bun." Then both the bakers started SHOUTING again! (Man) "We don't need your business" (Woman) "You need to leave." "You need to leave, ma'am." (Man) "We're the busiest place in town! Take your coffee and leave." I'm still holding my credit card out to the poor tramumatized looking cashier. (Man) "Never mind paying. Just take your coffee and leave. We don't need your business." I step up to the coffee dispenser. (Women from behind me) "NO. JUST LEAVE. I am too busy! You just need to leave." I turn to them and tell them to stop YELLING at me and they could have spoken everything they told me without shouting at me. I start to fill my coffee cup and the woman hysterically SHOUTS. "NO. Don't take that coffee. I am too busy (for what, I wonder). You need to leave." I looked at her and asked, "Didn't he just say to take my coffee and not pay, he doesn't need my business?" (Woman) YOU NEED TO LEAVE. (LOUDEST SHOUTING YET. So rude.) I have never ever been treated so badly as a customer anywhere in the U.S. or Canada or Mexico or South America or Europe. I only spoke. They only SCREAMED at me. They might be good bakers, but they need to learn some other skills. What a terrible experience for a free cup of coffee. Super cute little Bakery right in town. We got quite a few things to try while we stayed on Mt Snow with some friends. We got the mini carrot cake, red velvet cake, flourless chocolate cake and the large oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. And each one was delicious and fresh in their own way. However the flourless chocolate cake was the number 1 in our house. It almost tasted like a brownie. It was pretty amazing and well balanced. The red velvet was next and Super moist. In this small ski village, Sticky Fingers is the perfect compliment to the savory treats scattered throughout the area. The cute little A-frame is nestled alongside a brook, perfect for an impromptu picnic with friends. This was our second time stopping at this cute little bakery. We came back to VT with the intentions and excitment of the bakery items they offer. I walked in and noticed not much of anything. A few breads and cookies, I asked a question and tried to explain what I was looking for. I was then spoken to an a manner that was quite uncomfortable. We saw this place on a YouTube video for best bakeries in every state. Naturally, we had to plan our first trip to VT since Covid around this place. We were overwhelmed by all the delicious-looking choices but managed to keep our order to a few items: a cinnamon roll, coffee cake, a chocolate bomb, and a ham and Asiago turnover. Our one savory item, the ham and Asiago turnover, was fantastic. Flaky, buttery, melty cheese and still warm in the middle. They also had a turkey and Gouda which I wish we tried! Next time... The cinnamon roll was perfect, warm and gooey but not cloyingly sweet (like those ones you can get at the mall...) The chocolate bomb was to die for. I don't even want to explain it, just let it be a tasty mystery and get it. I think the coffee cake was my favorite though. Moist and light with the perfect amount of topping, and it had more nuts and cinnamon in the middle!! So freaking good.
