I really don't like giving 5 stars from one visit. I like to give the 5 stars after a few visits, to ensure there is consistency in all the things, but I couldn't help it. This restaurant is off of Mitchell, which is a busy street, so it is easy to get to. It is part of a large shopping center so lots of parking. The restaurant itself it pretty spacious and has lot of seating. Could very well accommodate a larger group. We were greeted and seated right away. The lady that seated us was very pleasant and met us at the table with iced water and our menus. We ordered: 1. Thai teas: refreshing and delicious. 2. House Special: came with fried shrimp, fried broccoli, Laos sausage, fried chicken, beef jerky and fried egg roll. All fried to perfection and a great plate to purchase to appease most palates. 3. Large sticky rice: which is a must! 4. Laos papaya salad (mild): this comes with 6 Thai chilies and was perfect heat. It comes with a side of fresh cabbage. It was all the things we needed the salad to be. The sauce was dark in color, salty and that danky goodness! 5. Laos sausage: ordered this on accident because I didn't realize there was some sausage that came on the house special platter which was fine because we knew we were taking stuff home. 6. Crispy pork belly: marinated perfectly and fried to perfection. Dipping sauce complimented it well. So much food and I believe the bill came in under $90. A good amount of food, delicious and filling. Glad we stumbled upon this place and don't think it will be our last visit! read more

This place has been a favorite since saibadee days. One of my favorite dish has to be radna and papaya salad. The papaya salad is probably the best ever, as in, anywhere I go, I would compare to here. And I keep a few of their papaya salad sauce in my fridge! I used to order their Thai boat noodle bowl but as of late the flavor just be hitting different. So I've switched back to just ordering radna. However, I've tried the yum nua and it was delicious! That will definitely become a regular on future visits. The service is good. They constantly checked on us and gave us updates on when the food is coming out. The atmosphere has been less loud. It doesn't seem to be as busy as a few years back. Perhaps due to other Asian restaurants opening near by. Either way, will always eat here when it comes to Thai/Lao food. read more

Last week I ordered 1 order shrimp spring rolls 2 orders of egg rolls and both the egg roll orders were burned and not eatable so you burned me last week I figured it was a mistake and things happen. Today I order chow mein and shrimp spring roll no vegetables. Such a great local, family-owned Laotian spot! The restaurant is small, cute, and clean, and the food is absolutely delicious and tastes truly authentic. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. So happy to have a spot like this in the neighborhood -- definitely worth supporting and coming back to! read more

Ceres-We used to order from this place during Covid (2020). I've never been inside the restaurant until now! Super cute and very clean. I tried their beef jerky and it was outstanding!! Really different, but chewy, and tasty. I stuck with something I know and love...Chow Mein. Yes, I know, kind of boring but it's what I was craving. It did not disappoint. Savory, with a hint of kick along with plenty of veggies and chicken. While I am visiting, here in California, I need to get all of the good food that I can before I head back to Orlando. I was craving something fresh and lighter over rice, stoped at Sticky Rive for the first time, and was impressed. I had garlic pad Thai with pork. The veggies were super fresh, the pork pieces were big and the sauce was lighter and tasty. The service was quick and polite, the restaurant was clean and simple. The food is so good here! I only ever get one dish which is the pad see ew but it is so good! So good that I was ordering it like every week for a couple months straight and I got tired of it lol I definitely should go back and try more things though. The dish I usually would get comes with noodles and veggies and chicken and you can choose different spice levels I usually got the spiciest because I love spicy food but be aware because it is supeeer spicy. I would say medium or light spicy is perfect for someone who doesn't want a lot of spice. All in all it's very clean inside although I usually take my food to go. The service always seems friendly when I've gone so that's good too. No complaints from me about this place it's a solid Thai restaurant. read more

Best Thai restaurant in stanislaus county! Love this place! So many great options for food. The traditional Thai menu options are very good and I personally love the Lao egg roll with the peanut sauce on the side... always ask for a second side of peanut sauce for a proper ratio of sauce in every bite! Also love the Thai Spicy Basil wings too. Delightful and amazingly fun to snack on with the Lao egg rolls to start. Love the pad Thai and curry choices are all equally delicious so can't go wrong with any combination of colors or meats! Watch the heat level though... I rarely go above the medium or you're hating it ! Wait staff is friendly and fast. The music is odd but will crack you up with some of the popular stuff that is on the video screen. I really don't like to speak bad about restaurants. But I was really looking forward to some authentic Thai food. This place was not it. In fact the Papaya salad smelled like cow manure. We ordered red curry, drunken noodles, basil fried rice all of which were very disappointing. Noodles mushy. And flavor is very off. We definitely will not be back. I cannot recommend this place. What's not to like about Thai food done perfectly? Perfectly, I say. Excellent food. Superior service. Excellent prices. Short wait times. Immaculately clean. Yes, that's true! The owner always comes out and greets us. Very nice and hard-working individual. I've been coming here since they opened -- with one temporary closure for renovation until I moved out of state. Coming back here was a delight! The Chicken Satay is perfect I'm a fan of their green and yellow curry dishes, usually with chicken... but the beef is exceptional as well. Their curry sauces are so good, I'd swim in them. Maybe have naughty dreams about it, too. My absolute favorite there is Pad Krapau, made with chicken, and I always ask for "authentic Thai hot." Got that? Not for the faint of heart.. My next closest favorites are the Kung Pao Chicken. Next fav, Pad Asparagus. Recall that term? Authentic Thai hot. If you like your food spicy, ask your server for "authentic Thai hot" -- and they'll usually confirm that's what you want and expect. I guess there's even degree of spiciness beyond that, which should be called... well, never mind: I don't want to be kicked off of Yelp for not having any filters. Thing is, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food are usually served American bland... no flavor, no character, no spicy heat. Bring the heat. So as long as not too many people start coming here, the wait times for seating will be very good -- although we have waited some time for a table now and then. Was in the area and looked up some food to eat. I was surprised to see a good rated Lao/Thai food place (no offense to anyone here, I just literally had no idea). We got seated right away and as I was looking through the menu, I saw a Lao-style fried rice. I've had Thai fried rice, Hawaiian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc. so I just had to try a new kind. I'm glad I did because it was definitely unique. Some of the rice was fried crispy so the texture was interesting. My only gripe is that there was too much cilantro, but I generally don't like cilantro so for anyone else it might be just right. The spring rolls were great! Never had such a nice looking piece of lettuce in a spring roll in my life. The shrimp tasted good and not gamey or over powering. The chicken was not dry and the noodles were not stuck together like in other places. Pad Se-eew is good too according to the person who ordered it. Mongolia is delicious. And finally, pad eggplant with tofu did not disappoint. All entrees were medium spicy which is spicy. All of this for about $85. One thing to know is that there is a small service fee to use a plastic card. I did appreciate that they offered utensils, hot sauce, and soy sauce. Sometimes you need it and forget to ask.
