    Chicken pad Thai
    Ray N.

Been ages since I've been here and felt like an updated review was in order. We came on a Saturday at 5 pm (placed opened at 430 pm) and there was a lot of patrons already seated. So here is what we ordered and a review Appetizer: chicken satay $13.99 for 5 skewers. I'll be honest, a bit overpriced for an appetizer. It wasn't that bad but it's just marinated chicken breast that needs the peanut sauce and the sweet cucumber condiment to add a little flavor. It came first but wasn't tremendously hot temperature wise. 4 out of 5 stars. Beef pad thai $17.99 ($2 for upgrade to beef, on the menu, its chicken pad thai at $15.99). I thought it was nice to see the beef slices on top rather than mixed in like other Thai restaurants. They add peanuts and bean sprouts and green onions on the side besides a slice of lemon. It was actually pretty good and my favorite of the items we ordered. Still a bit on the sweet side but I would get this again for sure. 5 out of 5 stars Pad Blue Mussels - my wife's favorite. I only tried one but wasn't into the flavor that much. Since my wife ate most of it, I'll assume it was good. No grade since dish wasn't meant for me. Fried Banana with ice cream $9.99. This actually took a good 10 mins to wait on after we had finished the main course. I highly recommend getting it and tastes good with their vanilla ice cream. 5 out of 5 stars Considering how busy they were, we got our meals relatively fast. The staff was super friendly but there was time when they were so busy (only 3 of them) that it took awhile to get our check. Service 5 stars Overall, since we haven't frequented this place often, this meal was enjoyable that we would come back when craving for thai.

Awful experience. The only male server in that place was rude and argumentative. I ordered Spicy Vegetarian Fried Rice, and I took a bite and it smelt weird and find out it came with fish/oyster sauce--clearly not vegetarian. When I questioned it, he insisted I should've said "vegan" and claimed fish/oyster sauce is vegetarian, which is ridiculous. Despite multiple requests to talk to owner he showed zero interest to come talk to us in resolving the issue as the server after their mess up bad mouthed and said if we let you in next time ask for Vegan Fried rice. Many reviews mention this same behavior of rudeness of the server. Will never return. Lost appetite. Had to google to show this place Fish/Oyster sauce is not suitable for vegetarian or vegan (attached photo)

A good place to get your Thai fix! I have been coming here for over 15 years and have seen this place evolve. Despite the time moving forward, they are always consistent and super accommodating. Every staff I come across is very friendly and attentive. They are very knowledgeable on the menu and provide great recommendations. I had a large party for a lunch outing. The server was very patient with us and recommended some of her favorites. The food we received was very delicious and fresh. From the fried chicken wings, spicy garlic calamari, pad Thai, and tom yum koong it all tasted unique with amazing flavor. This place has a bar to order alcoholic drinks plus a bunch of seating. They also have a private section for large groups as long as you book a reservation ahead of time. A downside is their prices are a little higher compared to other Thai restaurants and the portions have gotten a little smaller.

The last time we were here we had such a pleasant experience. Although the place was surprisingly busy late evening on a weekday, the service was great and very quick. This is my first time having Thai food in the CV and I was not disappointed. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5

Good, clean restaurant. Waiter attentive and pleasant. Tom yum soup okay. Kind of a disappointment. Had with clear broth. Spicy eggplant with tofu excellent. Noodle dish tasty. Only took a pic of soup because forgot to take other pic. Recommend highly with exception of soup unless you like broth without a lot of taste

This is my go-to Thai restaurant. The place itself is located in a well-kept small shopping strip - it is clean and spacious inside. It is a casual place to dine with friends and family - and they can accommodate groups. They always have lots of people ordering to go as well. This family-run business always gives excellent service. They are very polite and work so hard to ensure you have exactly what you need. The food is fresh, delicious and comes out quickly. It is the best Thai place in the area. They also offer several gf dishes! I never get any pictures because we always just dive right in. My staples are the spring rolls - it comes with 6 and the best peanut sauce I've ever tasted (I think they make it from scratch). I love their Tom Yum Kai soup - you need to order it Thai style...sooo good! And the pad sweet and sour hits the spot! I've ordered multiple other dishes, but those are my go to. I almost always have leftovers as the portions are a good-size, so I get to enjoy the food another day. Come try it! The food is fresh, delicious and healthy- your taste buds will be happy!

The service was great and food was excellent! We ordered the seafood soup, spicy seafood rice and pad see ew (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) and everything was tasty. Just like its name. Maybe I'll move to Modesto!

Decor is very minimalistic but clean in appeaeance. Menu had numerous photos of dishes they offer to give customers an idea of what it looks like and its description. It was a good portion of char grilled chicken breast along with white toast and their peanut sauce and cucumber relish. 5 stars Pad Thai with beef- presentation was good. The taste was fine but something about it, didn't make me overwhelmingly eat a lot of it. My wife liked it so I'll give it 4 stars. Pineapple fried rice with chicken- good portion size (we had leftovers). But as someone who has worked as a server and in operations for big restaurant groups, the entire place needs some retraining. Food: Overall we had 1 good dish - their pad-eggplant. Noodle dishes were clumpy. Rice = HORRIBLE. Dry and not fresh. Their salads were not great, and overall the quality does not equate to the price. Service: This place cannot handle a large table. Anything over 3 people is probably a stretch for them. We had a reservation for Mother's Day, and when we came in there were only 2 tables who were at the end of their meal already. They paid and left. Tables were coming in, but we were able to place our order prior to it getting busy. The restaurant is pretty full now, all the tables that come after us are eating or have eaten, and have paid and left. We had a few appetizers and nothing. I ask the servers why this is, and my answer is that they are processing other orders, processing to-go orders, and then the chef wants to make our dishes all at the same time. Our food never comes at the same time. There's anywhere from 10 mins in between each plate, meaning majority of the time we were eating 1-2 bites then just waiting. Stir fry dishes given without serving spoons or rice, tom yum soup given without bowls. Near the end of the meal, we are still sitting there waiting for the remaining dishes and nothing. We asked for the dishes - looks like they forgot. We just ask them to cancel it and then get us the check. One time I asked for the soup bowls, she said yes and left. Then went to help with delivery pickup and to seat people. Completely forgot until I asked her again. Another time I asked for some additional plates, the other server said she would get it and then left and completely forgot, I had to ask again. We asked for egg on the side since my niece is allergic and never got the egg. I had to ask for that and my other niece ended up eating the plain egg with rice because she was hungry. There was an issue between the front of house and back of house and until they can get that figured out, they should turn off their ordering system. If they are a sit down restaurant, they need to ensure they can prioritize the folks they are charging an automatic 20% service fee from. It sucked because we went to celebrate my mom and we all ended up leaving hungry and annoyed.

We were mtg w/a friend who lives in Tracy. There was nothing open on a Sunday in Atwater (the 1/2…read moreway point for all of us), so we decided on Modesto. This place had good reviews so I was excited since I haven't had great Vietnamese food in Fresno. Was hoping this would be a treat. But it wasn't. Service wasn't great. No one ever checked on us to see if we needed anything. It wasn't crazy busy in there either since we there at off hours. Ambiance is standard for this kinda place. Whatever. Pretty big menu tho. Decided to do appetizers for dinner. ORDER: Crispy Crab Cakes: There was no discernible crab in them. Not even fake crab. No real flavor inside. It just tasted of overly greasy crust. But it was crispy I'll say. Choked down 1 & gave up. Fried Rolls: Normally the thing I love most at Vietnamese restaurants. This was mushy inside & bland. Pork & Shrimp Spring Roll: Wasn't filled very much. Like barely there noodles. One section I ate had none but had white radish strips, so I thought it was just lettuce, pork, shrimp & radish. I don't like a ton ton of noodles but it needed triple the amt to be an avg amt of noodle. The best thing about this was the peanut sauce. I give them high marks for their peanut sauce. Fried got pork vermicelli & shrimp spring rolls. Her high praise was "they gave a lot of meat." But otherwise her reaction was "it's ok." Other friend got garlic butter chicken wings. I had one. There was no garlic flavor on the wings but there was a bit of garlic & onion on the plate w/them. Otherwise, they tasted like naked wings. I like naked wings & admit they were cooked well. She also got brisket & flank pho w/out noodles. She said meat was tender & delicious. I really really wanted to like them more than I did. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever reviewed something where I gave less than 4 stars. Not my cup of tea, but glad they seem to have found their audience since they don't have poor reviews overall. Happy for them. Still on the quest for good Central Valley Vietnamese!
