I live across the street, facing this place. Most clubs are downstairs in a soundproof room to not bug neighbors. Still Liquor blasts music in a tiny space with all windows and front door jammed open because it's a dive bar with no AC. Still Liquor gives 0 ****s about annoying their neighbors. I basically live in the club every Fri/Sat. LAME DJs who play the same songs every week. Daring DJ setlists include passionfruit by Drake and finesse by Bruno Mars. Go here if you love vanilla R&B. "PUT YOUR HANDS UP. CMON GUYS, LETS GET LIT!" and the crowd goes mild. This is not XS. Still Liquor had one thing going for it -- that the crowd wasn't as bad as Mint Lounge. Yes, there are fights, yelling, and mischief at Still. But you wouldn't get shot or run over by street racers unless you go around the corner to Mint. Until last week: drive by shooting at 11PM on a Saturday night. Last night, I was physically grabbed and thrown out simply for not noticing some tiny sign about a one-person-at-a-time bathroom rule, when I tried to enter a stall with my friends. Instead of handling it like a rational adult, the bouncer--who, by the way, is about five feet and clearly suffers from little man syndrome--grabbed me and shook me (a woman) to the point that my drink spilled on people. This place clearly hires the worst kind of people and enforces the dumbest rules. If you want a fun night out, go literally anywhere else. Ayyy, it's been awhile since I last been to a bumpin' hip hop vibe bar and Still Liquor definitely nails the vibe pretty well. Located on the edge of Cap Hill, this little bar is a bit hidden from the main street. Came here with a few friends for a birthday event and overall, it was a pretty chill time. Drinks: Fairly reasonable/standard Cap Hill price. Pour was generous and service is fairly quick. Interior: The place can feel pretty small once it's jammed pack, but I definitely dig the underground like feel, open space, and rustic decor. 2/3 of the place is mostly a bar set up, and near the DJ is the 1/3, where there is a dance floor + shiny disco ball Bathroom: Huge lines all night. Just a heads up to those who drink a lot..... Music: Old school throwbacks / hip hop. :D Definitely loved the music and the 2 DJs that were playing = on point. No song repeats and transitions were smooth. Crowd: Saw a lot of mid 20s and up. I did notice a fair significant amount of people dressed up, so definitely made this bar feel more like a casual lounge/small club. Overall, I would come back again. A bar on the edge of multiple neighborhoods already has it's work cut out for it. Technically Capitol Hill, not quite Downtown or First Hill. Shit sucks. But this bar doesn't! This is a beautifully hidden hole in the wall down a wonderfully obscure street that Alice in Wonderland herself would be proud to lose herself in. Add in the redonkulously amazing customer service from the team that works there and you would be hard pressed not to fall in love. But. I mean, if you were hard pressed, like just try the "Smooth Operator". A politely sweet and nutty canadian has soothed even the hardest of hearts. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. The bouncers are extremely aggressive, our group of 21+ college students got rejected for no reason, they shoved us out of line and out of nowhere one of the bouncers punches my friend in the face. We would never initiate a fight but at this point we had to fight back in self defense because they started swinging at everyone. Fight goes to the street and then we are across the street and it seems like the fight stops. My friend lost his wallet during this altercation and goes up to the line to look for it. The bouncers start attacking him 3 v 1. I get involved and then next thing you know it I get hit in the side of the head and I am on the ground. At this point I am laying on the ground motionless on the completely other side of the street from the bar. The bouncer decides to kick me in the head 4-5 times and then punch me in the head while I am just laying face down on the ground. My friend is also on the ground at this point and two bouncers are just kicking and punching him on the floor. He tries to get up but they grab his hair and kick him and punch him in the face. Everyone ended up with cuts bruises, they snatched one of my friends chains too. We went to the ER and my friend had to get stitches and a CT scan. TDLR: These people are animals, they will curbstomp you on the other side of the street from the bar while you are motionless on the ground. Do not come here. read more

What a vibe. It was fun. The music was poppin people were dancing. The security was respectful to the customers. The dj was playing good music. The bathroom lines are too long but that's a given at any club/lounge. Only downside was they don't take song requests and it's semi-difficult to order drinks without getting sassed by the bartenders. There's no cover if you arrive before 12am which is great. We got there around 10:30 and it was packed already. Staff is not wearing masks anymore but hand sanitizer is available at various locations in the bar. They also kept the doors and windows wide open to help with air circulation. read more

We ended up calling the police because the security guards wouldn't let us go back inside to retrieve our car keys and wallet after we went to step out for some air because the club was so musty inside. It's actually illegal in King county to hold belongings and the security needs to realize they aren't the police lmao. I felt like it was discrimination to not let us back into the club because shortly after other people were allowed back in and the security said "it is because they were nice about it." Extremely pathetic, there's reasons why the more professional atmosphere's have a wristband or stamp system. Then the owner wanted to blatantly lie and say he "watched" the whole thing happen. I hate to write a bad review but I had a terrible time here. It looked like a janky basement party with rude bartenders and overpriced drinks. I was so shocked at how much my drink was, I questioned if it was just Seattle prices (I'm from the Bay Area though which is pretty similar/comparable) but other bars in the area even sold it for way less. Based on past reviews, it seems like they add a 20% gratuity automatically...although I just had one drink and wasn't notified (I tipped even extra unknowingly.) My first time going & I couldn't complain until the short fugly bartender with pony tails & tattoos smacked my phone out my hand while I recorded a video of my friends & I taking a shot. One of the very few places you can dance with good music. Until - you can't actually dance. The small room is absolutely packed to the brim. Want a drink? Too bad. Need the restroom? Make sure to re-check your receipts! This place added their own tips during their "club" nights. I'm very disappointed on how this business can continue to post fraudulent amounts on their customers tab, and assume their customers won't know. Last Saturday I was out with my girlfriends and Still is usually the place we go to have fun and hang out. I purchased three rounds of drinks, signed the receipts (vendors copy) gave cash for tip, and wrote the total out. The following day, I noticed the transactions were pending and they appeared to have the correct amount. Unfortunately once the weekday hit, the amounts were beyond what we've paid for. Again, horrible business practice. Luckily Captial One and BECU shows the original authorized amount - anything extra was the fraudulent amount. I've also reached out to a few friends about this, and they've experienced the same exact issue. Anyone who experienced this here I would recommend talking to their manager, reporting the fraudulent actions taken place and you should also request a chargeback from your bank if STILL won't do anything to fix the issue. read more

This is more of a 3.5.... I went here this past weekend for a bday gathering. And we got here pretty early (9:30pm) when it comes to getting to lounges. I was actually happy that we got here early because this place usually is packed and pretty uncomfortable! It's really small in here with only 2 bathrooms in the very back of the place. So you're playing the excuse me game while finding small openings to slide pass someone. Once you make it to the bathroom you're met by a long line that flows out into the bar , so youre constantly being asked "are you in line for the bathroom or a drink?" lmao smh.... Pros are great music, seating if you're lucky and great people stuffed into one room. I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't like being bumped or in tight spaces. Also it's located in a weird area (Back side of Little Woody's and Baltic Room) so there is no parking typically close by, so bring a jacket because you'll have a nice walk to and from the car! read more

Every time I come to Still Liquor, I get the best service and the nicest welcome by all staff. The drinks are phenomenal.. the bartenders know wtf they are doing! The space is intimate, but open and airy for a Capitol Hill bar. The bathrooms have been clean and stocked always, and the DJ nights are the best. Some people seem to forget that these details on "The Hill" can easily get overlooked and I've noticed some not so appreciative reviews here. Came here around 9:30/10 on a Friday night. We're not from this area and asked a bunch of locals where the less-loungey bars are at. Two people pointed to Still Liquor's so that's where we found ourselves! The drinks were decent and well priced. Was slightly disappointed they didn't know what a Crown Apple Bomb was (Peach schnapps, crown apple and red bull) and had to settle on two tequila sunrises (EW). They played some decent hip hop and R&B music. All of the other bars in the area are more sit down so we were excited to find one that was playing some loud music lol. We didn't get to stay for long but it was already starting to get packed by the time that we left. The place isn't that big and if it really is as popping as they say it is, I expect that barely anyone would have room to move! read more

There is lots of space and I definitely see potential for nice gatherings because of that. It felt a little bit hidden, so I wonder how the different nights vary. I went on a Monday night and it was pretty empty, but that is (hopefully) not always the case. The bartender served us up some waters and we each had a French 76. It was quite delicious and a wonderful drink to just sip on as we chatted. I loved that the lemon peel was tied into a knot! The only thing I found myself missing here was the existence of small plates with little things for us to munch on while we sipped. I was pretty hungry and was a little sad to see absolutely no food on the menu. In general, though, I very much enjoyed my first Still Liquor experience and would happily return for more. read more

A few of us wandered in during a lazy afternoon on our way to trouble somewhere else. None of us had been here before so we were sort of curious. The place is fairly large and very open. There is a great deal of open space for standing around and mixing with others, as well as a lot of cement...with benches grouped along one wall and a few booths further from the bar. The bartender was on us quickly, but given that we had just walked into a very dark place from the outside, we were mole people. Couldn't read the drink menu to save our lives. After some squinting and attempts at some sort of phonetic exchange...we squirted out some drinks. I hated my drink and really missed some small plates to cleanse my palate. But my friends seemed to do alright by their drinks and we were so involved in conversation, I think everything else was secondary. I love the wood and the open spaces in this place, but it was a little too dark for me and I miss some nibbles. read more

I love this place. Whenever I'm in Seattle my friends would always take me here. Still Liquor is hip, maybe a bit of a lounge hipster kind of feel. Definitely, a cool spot to hang, get drinks and dance. This place is not huge but big enough to walk around and or to get lost in the crowd. The people working here are chill. I haven't been back since my bartender (blond girl) was completely rude to me and a customer I was waiting near. She didn't notice me standing for a really long time even though no one else was ordering. It was a bit tricky to find as it's located at this sharp turn near the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, but with the help of Google maps, anybody with minimal common sense can figure it out. There's even a sign at the corner of the turn so people can follow it. There's a couple paid parking lot close by if there's no available street parking. I have been here several times and love the crowd and drinks. The mules here are delicious and the bartenders are amazing and can make anything you would like. I love the nights when they have the DJ's and I can dance. The first Friday of the month they have a dope party which is great. I enjoy my self every time I come here.
