Craft beer and restaurant near the middle of Whistler Village, just S of the Olympic rings. Parking here is horrendous. Surprise surprise. The place is part of Mark James group (Yaletown Brewing etc.), so one can already know what to expect if one has been to the other locations. Staff are friendly. Most of them seem to be Australian. Only complaint was that my friends and I couldn't be seated outside on the patio for some reason, even though there were clearly tables available (I didn't see any reserved signs). Not sure why the waitress insisted we sit inside where the place was maybe 30% full, but oh well. The place feels like a giant chalet, with the timber trim everywhere. They have a pizza oven, and the beer production tanks are visible over the kitchen area. There's even a toy train that does a circuit throughout the dining area (look up). One thing worth mentioning is that the bathrooms are on the 2nd floor, which may be a problem for some. Food here is Whistler pricing, so be sure to have deep pockets. I was told to try the High Mountain beef ribs, so there is now 1 less cow out there. 3 bones drenched in BBQ sauce, served on top of a pile of coleslaw and next to a pile of mashed potatoes (there is a fries option). Ribs were cooked well but the sauce was definitely on the salty side. I tried a piece of my buddy's prime rib and it's pretty solid. The portion size was definitely enough. I was stuffed. I also had a flight of their craft beer (4 glasses). As of the time of writing, they only have 8 beers available, but it was more than enough. Overall the place is worth a visit if one wants pub style comfort food. read more

We always make a point of at least one visit to High Mountain during our Whistler trips. It has a fantastic location at Olympic Plaza so when the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is just perfect. We arrived on a chillier day and loved our table near a cozy fireplace. Out party enjoyed wings for the meat eaters, salad, hummus and the two stars of the night - Poutine and Mussels. Service was great despite how busy the place was, only let down was their hazy IPA was no more and the only IPA on the menu was not to my taste! Still a great meal, great service and love the location and ambience! read more

I'm a bit surprised the ratings aren't a bit higher! First, service was AWESOME--we had Stevie and she is amazing. We actually came in one day for Apres and another for dinner, happened to get her twice AND SHE REMEMBERED US! She knew our kids' drinks without asking. Impressive. The place itself is really quaint, feels like an old pub. The poutine and dips were great. LOVED their beers--the stout and the hazy were the faves. Big brewpub in Whistler Village in its own building, close to the Olympic Plaza. Dark wooden interior. Has a second floor where the washrooms are. Also has a running model railway near the ceiling which was cool. Reasonably busy on a non-weekend night during ski season, but not the busiest restaurant we saw in the village. Has a good variety of food on the menu. We tried a bunch of different items. The pizza and ribs were decent. The ribs were tender. The pizza tasted more like fresh Pizza Hut than wood fired, but it's not bad. Also tried the fish tacos which were okay. The fried fish is nicely fried, although not that much of on each taco. Least favorite item was the pulled pork sliders which the meat were dry. Prices are what I expected from a ski resort village, ie higher than you would find in the city for this quality of food. For a huge restaurant, this place certainly does feel intimate. The seating is broken up in a way where it doesn't feel so large. The staff is among the friendliest we have encountered, and the food selection is huge. It's not typically a spot I'd go to, but the location is great at the end of the village and it has enough variety to please everyone in your group. The food is decent, I wasn't super crazy about the poutine (gravy was very thick and salty) and the kids Mac and cheese lacked flavor, but no one seemed to mind too much because our server was so fantastic and the vibe was very fun. This place isn't the top of my list for dining out while in Whistler, but if you're looking for a large variety at a family friendly spot, it's worth a shot. While we've never had an exceptionally grand experience here, it's never been bad either, and for that, it's worth a solid four stars in my book. read more

We arrived hungry on the doorstep of High Mountain Brewing twice, and they delivered both times. This is a huge restaurant. But, surprisingly even though it's huge and busy, we had no problem walking right in and getting a spot to eat. The way the dining room is designed keeps the noise level reasonable and it still feels cozy. They were well staffed so we had great service on both occasions. This is pub-grub, so keep your expectations in check. We enjoyed a pizza, a salad, and a couple of beers on both stops and would definitely come back. read more

Our trip to Whistler included a late lunch at High Mountain. The place was not crowded as the ski season just opened. Our party of 4 was seated immediately by the fireplace. We ordered butter chicken, chicken sliders pizza and a salad. All were good, no complains. Service is also good. We probably waited a good 10 mins for our server to come which was not bad. High Mountain Brewing Company is the place to be in Whistler! It has tv all around to its a perfect to catch a great hockey game and it's a huge restaurant with down stairs and upstairs seating! We came around 6 with a party of 7 and were seated immediately. We came to Whistler last year and stumbled upon this restaurant and ordered the prime! A year later we were still talking about the prime rib! 3 out 7 of our group ordered the prime rib. They also have amazing fish and chips, prime rib stroganoff and this outstanding butter chicken! The winner of the dishes was the prime rib! It comes with a choice of side, and creamed spinach. This restaurant also serves wood fire pizza that smelled delicious! No pictures were taken because our group was starving but we have only been in Whistler for a day and the group is talking about going back. A must try in Whistler! read more

We chose a table on their outdoor patio to take in all the scenic and people watching splendors of Whistler Village. We split two choices for lunch. The first was an order of 3 Baja Fish Tacos were delicious! They included ale battered local Pacific cod pieces served with coleslaw, avocado puree, and a cilantro sour cream on flour tortillas. You could ramp up the old zip factor with their cumin lime hot sauce. The tacos were $23 CAD. Our second dish was a Boston Bibb Salad with candied pecans, cherry tomatoes, red onions, sliced gala apples, grapes, butter lettuce, and Fraser Valley greens. It was a very good solid, with added crunch from the apples and pecans. The salad was $19 CAD. High Mountain Brewery is a gorgeous place, the patio was decorated with dozens of bright red umbrellas. Our server Charles was very good - friendly, informative and professional. Our two selections totalled $44.10 CAD after tax. read more

We had the misfortune of eating here two days in a row. Once by choice, the second day with a pre-booked group. This place is a brewhouse and the beers are OK at best. Then there's the food. Now the chef has some interesting ideas and the Mumbai wings and Butter Chicken (yes, at a brewhouse) are not bad. But the brewhouse staples are no bueno. My wife got a burger that was overcooked to the point of being eligible for charcoal. The salmon salad was boring. The Brussels sprouts were under-seasoned. And the poutine - Canada's national dish - was a fail. Service was OK, not attentive, had to ask for refills, where's my drink, etc. Do yourself a favor and bypass this place. We had a some time to spare and decided to come in to grab a quick snack before heading out on a 2 hour ATV ride. Service was pretty fast, as we were in and out within 40 min. It was happy hour, so we ordered a beer, fish tacos, and garlic fries. I wasn't really expecting anything much for a quick bite and of all things - fish tacos and fries. They were pretty decent. Good food awesome drinks and the staff is beyond accommodating. First place we tried when we got to Whistler for the first time. Did not have to wait long to get a spot on the patio. Waiter was so friendly, engaging, caring and thoughtful. (Did not get his name but he was from New Zealand). Fun fun fun! The place has a toy train track going through entire place from room to room! It is a huge place laid out with a lot of fun corners. Friendly people and good drinks. Loved it and had great time when we had drinks and watched a little golf. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good time. P.s. my coworker and I each had a bloody Cesar. This is sort of our 'team drink' because our manager used to tell us a fun story of him hunting a good bloody Cesar in whistler ( in USA we mostly have bloody marry). Get the flight, try all their beers, you won't be disappointed. The food was phenomenal, so I'm not sure what everyone is referring to. The Service was incredible and prompt. We visited the Brewhouse the first night we arrived in Whistler and found a nice spot near a fireplace and a TV to watch a basketball game. Server was great, super friendly and helpful. We ordered the Continental pizza and a salad, both were great after a long day of travel (plus the glass of wine). We actually went back again the next day for the Superbowl too . Had some of their in-house brews (the Alta Lake pale and their IPA), both types of wings (thought both were a little too crispy, but preferred the curry ones as they were unique). This place is huge , it's gorgeous and the beers where great . Great assortment of beer on tap . I had a flight and ordered the 2 dip appie with flatbread . It was a great snack . Flatbread was fresh , warm and soft . Comes with 2 dips Humus was nutty , garlicky, rich and full of flavour, and a beet root dip was earthy , sweet and super flavourful. In an area where everything had over an hour wait, we found this spot just a little further into the village and they sat us right away. The calamari was decent. The mac n cheese got my son's approval. And the burgers were good. My daughter was determined to destroy the rack of ribs falling off her plate. Service was great and there was a good selection of beers. The waiter also made some recommendations based on what I liked. We stopped by for lunch and saw the "Fresh Beer" sign. Funny. We had to ask the server what that meant. BH brews their own beer and some of them are quite good. The 5 Rings IPA is excellent. I had a couple and we enjoyed some poutine. The poutine is a bit expensive, but quite good, especially when you add meat as a topping (we had pork). I tried some of the brown ale, and didn't care for that one...it was just too weak for my taste. The atmosphere is relaxing and feels like an old Bennigan's. At one point I noticed a train going around a track above my head. Should keep the little ones entertained. BH is located at the beginning of the village walk and can seat quite a few people. I didn't necessarily see anything on the menu that would drive me back for dinner, but I would definitely recommend this place for apres-ski. BH offers pizzas and grill items. read more

One thing is we are big on service and integrity - the service started off good but later as we picked at our fries the less n less the bartender came over. The prime dip and garlic fries were amazing I highly recommend However the issue was, we go to lay the guy brings us the check 98 CAD so about $75 USD I give $200 USD so I can tip 22% but needed change he tells me they charge 1-1 exchange there compared to actual exchange rate but them gives me $100 CAD which is $75 USD as my change I'm like so I end up paying 1-1 and lose $25 on the exchange and he said they don't give USD change which is fine but convert correctly also. I ended up getting my $200 cash back and paid with my debit card and shocking enough it converted the correct I'm wondering if he didn't want to exchange correctly for a higher tip as that's what it seems.
