OK. I expected very little from the place. It's been around forever and I've passed by a million times with no interest in stopping. I remember coming as a kid with the family, but didn't remember anything about the food. Atmosphere isn't anything special and they are way understaffed, but the food. It's killer. We started with some sushi that was delicious. We got the Triple Tuna Roll and the Spicy Scalop. Both prepared wonderfully. For entrees, we got two of their specials; the ribeye and the short ribs. Both were FANTASTIC. Literally one of the best prepared steaks I've ever had. And the short ribs were soooo soft and flavorful. The salad that the short ribs were served over was also insanely good. They definitely don't skimp here. I also want to mention our server. A young, blonde kid who seemed to be doing just about every job in the restaurant. Within the two hours we were there, he was our server, the busser, foodrunner, answering all the phone calls, and also helping prepare sushi. I was craving sushi so we ordered from stir crazy because it was the closest location to us. We ordered 2 spicy salmon, 2 tekka (tuna) and 1 yellowtail and jalapeño roll. All were yummy and the fish was fresh. I was disappointed in the size because they were very small. In Boston (where we usually live) we can get Maki rolls filled with fresh fish for a fraction of the price. Normally 5 rolls would have filled us up. This was more of a snack and we had to eat again afterwards. Overall, the food was good, but not worth the price ($36). read more

I went here tonight to get takeout, wasted $60, and over an hour of driving to get the most bland sushi I've ever had in my life. I was extremely excited to try this place out, and could not have been more disappointed! The rice on the sushi was extremely dense and packed so tightly that it felt like you were chewing rubber. I've tried to eat here 4 times.... Anytime I pull in the parking lot, there's no vehicles and the place is dark. It's actually funny that there is " Open " sign that is lit, yet, it looks closed. It seems par for the course for "The Cape" peeps, no customer service, websites often not updated with correct times of operation, and frequently waste customers times when they attempt to come for dinner and the website indicates they are open, and someone just chose not to show up...... just because. I'll wait to get back to New York where I can get some good Thai and not have to second guess if they are open or not. read more

Stir Crazy is a great place to eat if you are looking for good food. Their style of Cambodian plays well to the area and the owner is originally from Cambodia so you know that he food is exactly what you would get out there. The restaurant is Zagat rated which is a very nice honor to have for any establishment. Their finger rolls and peanut sauce are to die for. I always get extra peanut sauce and poor it over everything I eat. they have a small bar but a good selection of drinks. The overall restaurant is small but it fills up quickly so if you are hungry go early. read more

Omg, the sushi Honestly, I wasn't expecting to be wow'ed but here I am alerting the presses that this place has served me amazing and authentically prepared sushi every time I brave MacArthur Blvd. When it comes to sushi, all I know is 1) I don't want to wonder halfway through about the freshness and start questioning my raw food relationship and life choices. And 2) the fish should be delicately cut with subtle precision so that I'm not chewing it like fishy steak tips. The sushi chefs at Stir Crazy do not disappoint and have obviously been authentically trained. The slicing skills and perfect proportions make for excellent eating. It rivals what I seek out in NYC/Boston. The place is welcoming with friendly servers that go out of their way to make sure you're enjoying your time there. Like seriously so nice and attentive! Which is rare to find these days... basically unheard of. So next time you're stuck in epically bad bridge traffic or you're just in the mood for sushi (the Cambodian entrees are delicious as well), cut off some tourists' cars to make the turn for Stir Crazy! I have come here in the past and I didn't even realize it this time around when staying in Falmouth! But the wooden interior and Cambodian decor brought back some memories... Situated off MacArthur Blvd, it could be easy to miss if you're speeding down but it sits on a large property with plenty of parking. Inside, there's a dining area to the right with the sushi bar, and to the left, the bar and another dining area which looks completely different. Upon entering, there was a sign that said "please wait for the host to be seated" but there was no one in sight. I had to make myself visible by stepping into the bar yet I was still being ignored by the busboy until the bartender noticed me and sat me in the other dining room with other guests. The tables and chairs are weird, they are totally meant for outdoor and the rest of the interior is nothing fancy besides the literal garden over by the bathrooms. The server was excellent, she was very casual yet professional and really took her time explaining some questions on the menu. I remember having the Khemara special last time with the strawberry, stir fried shrimp and scallop, in a bed of spring mix over rice and a peanut sauce dressing. It was unique because of the presentation and I do remember enjoying it but this time around, I went for the Beef Loc Lac $18.95 and a Triple Tuna Maki $19.95 with the Finger Rolls appetizer $7.50 and finished with Fried Ice Cream $5.95. I'll start by saying that the prices are extremely premium, because your normal Southeast Asian restaurant in the city is easier on the wallet. However, the beef Loc Lac was delicious and very tender in the perfectly seasoned sauce. It reminds me of the Peruvian Lomo Saltado stir fry dish. Finger rolls were quite good too and packed with pork. Fried ice cream could have been a little more crunchier but still a delight though I originally wanted Mango Sticky Rice which they ran out of. The biggest disappointment was the Triple Tuna Roll. While still good, I regret that I didn't get the Firecracker which looks jampacked with avocado and toppings from all the pictures. Overall pretty good food, good service, but high prices for what I'm used to paying for Asian food but I get it, this is the Cape. read more

Have been to cape many a times and have driven by this place so many times only ignoring that this could be a typical hole in the wall kind of deal. But keeping all the apprehensions aside we finally decided to give this place a try and the visit turned out to be a pleasant one. The customer service was very friendly and is not rushing. The menu was a little surprising to not have any of the cambodian delicacies but as the name suggests it was more of a fusion. There is a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu too. We ordered the tofu lock-lack and stir fry tofu over noodles. The tofu lock-lack came with tofu, veggies tossed in a ginger and scallion sauce over watercress, with cucumber and tomato slices. The stir-fry came with tofu sauteed with veggies over a special sauce. Both were very exceptionally prepared and tasted delicious. I always get the same thing because it's delicious. It's shrimp khemara and it's basically grilled shrimp on a fresh salad with a dressing that's both sweet and salty. The décor here is quaint, it is decorated with Cambodian furnishings, very simple yet elegant. The service here is dressed in really neat attire. For a Sunday evening, this place was fairly busy in the front room. There was a really loud party of 10 seniors and some small groups of 2s and 3s. To start off, I ordered the kiss me after cocktail which is vodka, peach schapps, logan fruit and other fruit juice with a garnish of logan fruit. It packs a powerful punch and isn't too sweet. To begin, my bf and I got the Chomross appetizer plate for 2 which has one Nhem Shross (spring roll), two egg rolls, and a vegetable egg roll. They were really good and extremely fresh ingredients. For our meals, I ordered the Me-Siam and Eggrolls. This is very similar to crispy pad thai with egg rolls but has a very different and unique flavor to it. The BF ordered the Sum Law Ktiss which is a curry dish that is lemongrass coconut milk based. It was sooo good. The creaminess of the sauce went well with the chicken and vegetables. The menu is not that large and after a few visits, you could probably sample every thing here which I plan to! Service and food are excellent. Bopha is very happy. read more

Finally one of the few places who really knows how to make an Asian curry! It's not supposed to be watery but creamy from the custard part of the coconut milk. This place was a great find on.a recent trip to the Cape where mediocrity rules because it can! First we had the fresh spring rolls wrapped in rice paper. They were fine but pretty heavy on the lettuce as a filler. Second the fried crispy tofu with peanut sauce. Perfect fry job: crispy and not oily so the oil temperature was correct. And inside nice and soft. They serve it with a nuoc cham type of peanut sauce which is very good. I wanted spice and was happy to discover that beside the "everybody has it" sriracha, they had a homemade chili sauce that was to die for. I took some to go. We only had one entree because we couldn't risk.leftovers since we were visiting. And the waiter told us portions are big. They were. The chicken.green curry was great! It had eggplant and bamboo shoots and red bell pepper. And as I mentioned the curry was properly prepared and not the usual chesters way with mostly coconut water. For dessert we had another gem. A homemade coconut rice pudding with small pieces of Palm.fruit in it. Very traditional. And very tasty! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are pretty steep. But again being on the Cape they can get away with it. The curry was $19.95 which is too high. The one fresh roll was $6.95 for only'm one. The tofu $7.95 and the desert which was very small was $3.95. So that was a draw.back. And my only complaint. Oh! Except for giving another patron ketchup when he asked for it. Wtf?! You tell him you don't have it next time!!! If you are near this place you should go. It's delicious. read more
