Finally one of the few places who really knows how to make an Asian curry! It's not supposed to be watery but creamy from the custard part of the coconut milk. This place was a great find on.a recent trip to the Cape where mediocrity rules because it can! First we had the fresh spring rolls wrapped in rice paper. They were fine but pretty heavy on the lettuce as a filler. Second the fried crispy tofu with peanut sauce. Perfect fry job: crispy and not oily so the oil temperature was correct. And inside nice and soft. They serve it with a nuoc cham type of peanut sauce which is very good. I wanted spice and was happy to discover that beside the "everybody has it" sriracha, they had a homemade chili sauce that was to die for. I took some to go. We only had one entree because we couldn't risk.leftovers since we were visiting. And the waiter told us portions are big. They were. The chicken.green curry was great! It had eggplant and bamboo shoots and red bell pepper. And as I mentioned the curry was properly prepared and not the usual chesters way with mostly coconut water. For dessert we had another gem. A homemade coconut rice pudding with small pieces of Palm.fruit in it. Very traditional. And very tasty! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are pretty steep. But again being on the Cape they can get away with it. The curry was $19.95 which is too high. The one fresh roll was $6.95 for only'm one. The tofu $7.95 and the desert which was very small was $3.95. So that was a draw.back. And my only complaint. Oh! Except for giving another patron ketchup when he asked for it. Wtf?! For a long time I used to pass this place on 28 on my way to the Cape and never went in. What a waste of time! For Falmouth, this is as good as exotic food gets. The red curry is awesome. A warm mix of coconut, lemongrass, ginger and some spice, I like it best with chicken. Anything on the menu is great though. Ask for Suzanne for your server, she's the best! read more

Wonderful, wonderful food and service! This is our second night in a row coming here for dinner. We had Lock Lack with shrimp (with veggies, ginger and scallion sauce over watercress, with cold cucumber slices and tomato slices, and white rice) and the Khemara Special with shrimp and scallops (rice, salad, strawberries and blueberries, and a light peanut sauce). OMG! So yummy! The sticky rice with mango was the best we've had. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. Last night the chef came out to talk with us. We've been driving by this place for years and finally gave it a try. Our server, Chana, was efficient and attentive. The specials sounded great so we ordered two. Mine was a meat combo of shrimp, beef kabab and chicken tenderloin. The beef was some of the best I've tasted. Some how, although the pieces were bite sized, it was crispy on the outside, yet still medium rare inside. My friend got the pork rib special. It's been a family favorite for years. The only downside is the menu,it's rather small but the food is such high quality and so superbly prepared it doesn't really matter. (Unless you eat here extremely often) It's neigh impossible to order something you wont like here. read more

Started out sharing a Mai tai tini... Very strong and tasty. Stir Fry is extremely accommodating for vegetarians. If you order tofu, they make the whole dish vegetarian like the egg rolls. However, they do let you know or ask... just in case we want the pork (which we didn't) egg rolls. Meals were simply bursting with flavor, and the plates were abundant. Stir Crazy is our favorite spot for a meal out in Bourne, we probably either have dinner in their dining room or get take-out once a week. Bopha is extremely friendly and full of great stories, and her staff are wonderful. We have our favorite meal (the lemongrass steak), which is very moist and flavorful, and served with perfectly steamed vegetables. We've sampled many of their other dishes and enjoyed them all. We're also known to splurge on the tofu triangles or nhem shross (both delicious). Their cocktails are average, but they'll make just about anything you want. They close on Mondays, and for the winter for January and February, and we're at a loss for where to eat during these times! They can get pretty busy in the summer, but have a second dining room and we've never had to wait very long for a table. read more

Service was a little on the slow side even though there were just three or four tables and 4 young workers standing around looking off into space. Interior could use an update. Not being familiar with Cambodian food, I was a little leery of trying this place out. But my coworkers insisted that I come with them one day for lunch, and the food is awesome! Everything is so tasty and FRESH, which is very important to me. One of my coworkers is a health nut, and he loves this restaurant even more than I do, because not only is the food so good, but with all the fresh vegetables and meats they use, you can tell that it's pretty healthy compared to most other restaurants. My favorite dishes are the chicken stir fry and the bar bong. The stir fry consists of chicken, rice (white or brown), and fresh crunchy vegetables cooked in a delicious tangy sauce. The bar bong has angel hair pasta and little "pigs in blankets" with a tasty coconut sauce that isn't too thick or overpowering. For dessert, I've had their chocolate cake, which is nice and moist, with creamy frosting, and the mango cheesecake, which is as delicious as it sounds! If you want a good meal that's delicious, fresh, and on the healthy side, I'd strongly recommend Stir Crazy. read more

Rarely do I find myself inspired to write a review directly after a restaurant experience - as opposed to going to bed after a delicious meal - but in this case, I could hardly help myself from pronouncing the incredible merit of Stir Crazy. From the beginning, judging from the outside signage of a business that obviously room pride in their regional cuisine, I had faith in this culinary expenditure. Our waitress (A-Chen?) was immediately very delightful and attentive. It's important to me when employees express genuine interest in offering patrons a special dining experience- and again, the pride in this restaurant's unique Cambodian background was totally clear in how eagerly she answered our many questions about the menu. It's important to note that this place takes serving delicious regional Asian cuisine very seriously, and that's so very special for anyone sick of MSG-laden takeout menus. All of our food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend asking your server to recommend dishes - in our case , we tried the Gyoza and shrimp dumplings, both of which were so advanced and superior to any I've had before in America. The tofu triangles were out of this world, even if you're not vegetarian. They're served in this so perfectly balanced broth - I have to give a lot of credit to the kitchen staff regarding this dish- it is not easy to sustain crispiness, temperature, and flavor with a plate like that. It truly was one of the best tofu variations I've ever enjoyed in my entire life. Our entrees, especially the pad Thai, were all five stars too. You know a good Asian dining experience when what makes the food stand apart is good flavor - anyone can throw soy sauce and orange syrup on chicken and make an enticing dish ... The craft is in working with quality ingredients that don't rely on sugar and salt for taste. We also tried the green curry , and I had to resist asking which brand of coconut milk they used because it was so flavorful, and the curry was so delicately spiced - truly a treat for someone who'd suffered a winter of monogamously over-seasoned canned-paste curries. Finally, our deserts were really delightful- I tried mango rice sticky pudding for very first time, and was so impressed by the slightly salty rice and refreshing fruit. I would say this is a can't miss, no matter how full you might find yourself after all the delicious entrees. Ultimately, very rarely do I find a place so good that even though it's pretty out of the way, I have to come back. I really look forward to bringing and recommending this place to others. Went for dinner. I love eclectic, interesting and ethnic foods so this place was a MUST TRY for me and my husband. I wanted to like it more than I did. I have to agree with one of the posters that the stir fry was bland BUT !!!!.... in saying that, this is not "Chinese" stir fry so Im not sure what would be a good comparison. I did enjoy my stir fry after I added a bit of salt. The veges were fresh and seafood was cooked very well. We had an app. sampler which was delicious, the pork egg rolls were super flavorful. My husband had a chicken Bar Bong which he left no morsel to be seen. I think it is a bit pricey for what you get. I love the story behind the restaurant and its owner and I wanted to love the food. The food was pretty good, however I felt something was missing. The menu was not very extensive and I was hoping for more vegetarian options. I tried the Me-Siam and Eggroll & Sum Law Ktiss dishes. The eggrolls were my favorite part, but the curry dish lacked a variety of good vegetables. The bar is situated too close to the dining area, there were a few distracting/loud patrons at the bar and the dining area had more of a quiet/romantic feel to it... the two atmospheres so closely together just didn't work. read more

Got takeout from Stir Crazy on my way back to Martha's Vineyard and it was amazing!!! I've been missing Asian food, or frankly, anything remotely ethnic since I've been living on the Cape and I'd driven by Stir Crazy a few times, noticing the sign for Cambodian food. When I called, I couldn't load the menu on my phone so I asked the person on the phone what she would recommend and just went with it. She was helpful and very enthusiastic about the food - which I took as a good sign. I ordered the vegetarian Me-Siam and Eggrolls, Green Chicken Curry, House Marinated Chicken Wings and Mango Cheesecake. The food tasted very fresh with good portion sizes - a plus when eating with my boyfriend. I enjoyed the varied aromas and flavors in each dish. Nothing is worse than ordering from a restaurant and finding out it's a one trick pony with every dish tasting the same. VEGETARIANS BEWARE!! The menu states vegetarian in several places but none of the Cambodian dishes are vegetarian! All have shellfish sauce. So happy my husband happened to spot that on the menu since not only did I go here expecting vegetarian food, but I am allergic to shellfish. The only thing they could serve me was a veggie stir-fry with soy sauce and ginger....which was fresh tasting but I can make that at home. it was a quiet winter night but service was quite slow...but friendly. I swung by this wonderful restaurant after flying over the Bourne Bridge onto Cape Cod! Initially just for a quick stop I was so happily greeted as I entered, I decided to stay for a meal and a beer at the bar. They were very busy and everyone seemed to enjoying the delicious plates that kept emerging from the kitchen. A local gentleman recommended the Bar Bong so I followed his recommendation and had it with chicken. The angel hair pasta was heavenly and light and homemade hot sauce "added to taste" was just right. Such a delightful place and the lovely waitress/mixamatologist "Chana" made the whole experience one of friendly hospitality. Next time I will try some sushi as well as they have a very lovely sushi bar in another room and folks were delighting in that as well as watching the expert sushi chef prepare their orders!
