I had the chance to dine at Sage Hibachi shortly after the restaurant opened on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised. We were quickly seated at a hibachi table alongside some other guests. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the ambiance was both cozy and laid-back. Once we placed our order, the culinary show commenced. We had potstickers for an appetizer ,then soup, salad, teriyaki chicken, vegetables, and rice were all cooked to perfection--everything was absolutely delicious. Everyone in our party of 13 adults enjoyed everything we ate and drank at Saga Hibachi. Both hibachi chefs assigned to our party were entertaining and engaging with our party. A few in our party has sushi and sashimi as their entree instead of the hibachi. We started with appetizers of edamame, crispy roasted duck, fried oysters, some sashimi pieces, some sushi pieces, spicy crab maki, and rock shrimp. Special mention about the fried oysters because they were plump, delicious, and juicy. Dinner entrees ranged from salmon, scallops, chicken, shrimp, and filet mignon hibachi, sashimi, and sushi. The staff were attentive, friendly, and engaging. I was too distracted with all the good eats that I only remembered to snap pics a few times throughout the dinner. We were celebrating 3 birthdays so the staff brought out birthday crowns for the birthday peeps to wear and a boom box to sing a very loud version of the Happy Birthday song. It was a fun time. I came 30 minutes before closed (I drove an hour and haven't ate all day) I was soooo hungry and sooo looking forward to it but when I got there all the employees jus kept talking amongst each other and watched me walk up to a locked door. Horrible horrible management. Fight broke out they did nothing to protect customers after some way over served . Never got to eat out meal but they made us all pay and threatened to call police for walking on our bill. Fought with credit card company so that's good. But when called to ask for owner to talk manager at Wareham location said no !!!! Bb we heard what happened and everyone in restaurant need pay and was rude as can be. Never go again read more

Love the sushi & bar. Have yet to try the hibachi. I have been several times early evening. Went recently for late lunch found the bartender to be preoccupied (not the usual girl who's amazing) and edamame was stale but every other time was great! read more

Went for weekday lunch and came across their lunch special. What a wonderful deal. We each had a bento box lunch. This included the following: Great miso soup and salad, shrimp Schumai & 8 California sushi rolls ,a large scoop of rice and vegetables with teriyaki steak. Meat was fork tender, The presentation was lovely; with all, except the soup and salad, on large sectioned plate. It was a beautiful presentation and delicious. Service was also friendly and quick. First time here and the service was amazing. No wait time at all, we got seated immediately. The restaurant itself was a nice place, good lighting, music, and gave off amazing vibes. We ordered the salmon roll, California roll, and the beauty and the beast. Our food came out in no time. We got nice plates and some soy sauce. Food was so good we got seconds. This hibachi restaurant is fairly new in Mashpee and you should give it a try. For those not familiar with hibachi, the food is cooked on an open grill by a chef at your table, who is both interactive & entertaining. Your dinner comes with a fresh iceberg salad & mild, almost clear broth miso soup. My salad had too much dressing, but most hibachi restaurants always put too much (too sweet for me), but it's been a while since I've had hibachi so I forgot to ask for dressing on the side. For the main course you can choose steak/filet, seafood or chicken. Prices are around $25-30 per dinner, lobster being the most expensive. However, if you're a light eater, you can share; plus, there's also a children's menu, about $20. After you've finished with the salad & soup, waiters/waitresses clear the dishes efficiently, giving you a dinner plate. Then the fun begins. A chef appears with a cart, greets you, & starts cooking your dinners: first the fired rice & the sautéed vegetables, then the meat or seafood. He starts with a rhythmic clang of his spatulas, even tosses the raw eggs with them, then cracks the eggs & scrambled them for the fried rice. Next, he cooks the mixed vegetables which consist of zucchini, onions, carrots, bok toy, etc. He then takes slices of onion rings, builds a cone shaped structure, pours almond extract in the center & lights it-instant volcano!. During the cooking of the vegetables, he flips a piece of raw bite sized zucchini at you with his spatula. You're supposed to catch the vegetable in your mouth. Most people miss & there's a big laugh. For being a good sport, adults are offered a drink of SAKI (rice wine) which he squirts from a plastic bottle used for ketchup. You just open your mouth and he squeezes, bottle doesn't touch your lips. Kids are given squirts of water, he sometimes mischievously moves the bottle so your mouth has to follow if you don't want to get wet. Finally, he seasons the fried rice & vegetables with lots of soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, yummy sauce, and butter on the rice, then plates them individually. While you're eating the vegetables & fried rice, he starts cooking the meats, takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on the entree you've chosen. I always wondered why the chef doesn't cook the meats at the same time with the fried rice & vegetables, but every hibachi chef cooks this way. I would prefer all three items on my plate when I start eating. When he has plated your meat/seafood he quickly cleans the grill, thanks you for coming & leaves with his cart. The food was very good: fried rice & vegetables very tasty, meat was a little too well done for me because we asked for medium, not well. Since my strip steak was overcooked it was a little tough, but not too bad. I would ask for medium rare next time. My wife's filet was very tender ($35). The meat was also cooked in the same sauces as the vegetables, but I think there was too much sauce. Service was quick & efficient but my water was not refilled. The Saga also serves sushi but I cannot review what I didn't eat. read more

The food is decent and what you would expect but Im struggling to get over the employee frying bugs behind the bar with one of those tennis racquet looking insect electrocution devices. Each time he gets one is crackles like a sparkler on the fourth of july and Im grossed out. read more

Saga Hibachi recently opened in Mashpee and friends and I were looking forward to eating there. We went on Saturday night and while reservations aren't necessary. we were glad we made one. The entryway was crowded at 6:30. We sat on the bar side. The decore was a mismash of ultra modern lighting and bar mixed with sports memorabilia, fish and leftover Christmas decorations. Tables and chairs are very traditional. It was incredibly loud noise coming from the hibachi side making conversation difficult until later in the meal. The service was the star of the evening. Our waitress was pleasant, answered our questions. set a good pace and didn't rush us. Unfortunately, the food was just so so. Calamari was very tough, and the portion was tiny. It was on the level of supermarket frozen. We got the Spicy Girl Roll and the Ninja Roll. The Spicy Girl was spicy tuna, crunch inside, topped with spicy salmon, avocado, spicy mayo and wasabi sauce. It had no kick, no crunch and no flavor. If it had salmon, I missed it. The Ninja was shrimp tempura, lobster salad, shrimp and eel on top, served with eel sauce and spicy mayo. This one was good despite the missing tempura on most of it. You could taste all the elements. The individual pieces of sushi were too big to eat without cutting them in half and there were too few of them. We would have preferred a smaller diameter and a longer roll. Sushi should be eaten easily in one bite. The fried rice was just ok and the miso soup unappetizing. The mango shrimp fusion dish looked bright and beautiful but the flavor fell short. That said, this may have been a case of still needing time to work out the kinks or just an off night. Time will tell. read more
