The food and vibe during the day. It's very chill and family friendly. at night time. It turns into a very lively bar that is also host to a speak easy. second floor. Is a nightclub mostly urban hip-hop and on the third floor it is a Latin nightclub. all you would ever want in one building for a night doubt.

The burgers here are amazing, tacos not so much but looking forward to trying other items from here. Staff always very attentive and pleasant.

Terrific service is the hallmark of this food and beer restaurant. There are many brews to chose from. My cheeseburger was a tad over done. Wife reports her fries were cold and soggy. Her pulled pork sandwich came with jalapeños, which she pulled off after her nose started running from the spicy taste. Our server was delightful and attentive. The food menu is small. That makes choosing fast, but I'd like to see a wider selection.

We went to a speakeasy and let me tell you!! The drinks were AMAZING!!! I had the Orange Creamsicle Martini.. it was super tasty!! I also did peanut butter cup shops. I'm not a big PB but those I would happily have again!!

Go Knights and Charge On. What else do you want? Best beer selection in Ocala. Pure Gastropub type menu. Staff is on it and location is smack dab on the Square. DrinkLocal352 Thx again Nigel for taking good care of us. Walking by or staying for some music, hit up The Lodge on your next visit to Ocala. Go Knights!!!!

What a great night! I can't imagine why this place has such a low score. Six of us reserved a table for the Dueling Pianos and six of us LOVED it! The bar was hopping, great atmosphere and generous food helpings, the shrimp were off the chart and the burgers/pizzas were standard quality. They kept our table flowing with drinks and with everyone singing along all around us, it was just the best night we've had in ages. We would definitely go again and again. We do recommend you get a table though as it would be a long night to stand and it would be hard to get to the bar as busy as it gets. Oh yes! GET THE SHRIMP COCKTAIL!

Very yum. I got a bacon cheeseburger cooked perfectly. It came with a side of fries. Their french fries are are incredible; they have a unique batter I have not seen anywhere else before. Lots of different craft beers to choose from - and outdoor seating. I also got a sneak peak at a new corn beef hashed based dish which was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try it out.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It's definitely the sort of spot you'll feel tempted to linger. Get to it!

Unfortunately for me I was looking for a brewery experience and Big Hammock is not that. They do have a good amount of local craft beers on tap which is a definite plus. They just didn't have any of their own beer. Maybe they are brewing, but if they are not, they should change the brewery in their name to brew pub because the name is definitely misleading. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. When that answer was "no" I left. The end.

It was a late lunch so the place wasn't all that busy...perhaps a total of 5 diners including us. We sat down and waited a minute or so before a server came by with menus and to take our drink orders. My wife asked her if they served Coke Zero. They don't, so my wife just ordered water with a lemon wedge and I ordered the same. The menu is quite varied, especially for "bar food" with various pizza options. After carefully reading the menu, my wife ordered the White Pi (roasted garlic ricotta, mozzarella, feta, and rosemary/garlic butter drizzle) and I ordered Ol Betsy (house carne asada, avocado, crispy onions, white rice drizzled with chimichurri sauce). My wife's pizza was served before my dish and I had to wait a minute or two before mine was served. I think well managed kitchens should be able to get dishes out at the same time. My wife liked her pizza. She liked the wood-fired char around the edges and the appropriate chew of the crust. She also liked the garlicky flavor and the fresh feta. My dish was quite good! The carne asada was so tender and the crispy onions with the slightly vinegary chimichurri sauce was an inspired combo...adding the creamy avocado further elevated the dish. Lunch for two came out to just under $38 with tip. We'll be back!

I think they had 25 taps and the waitress was happy to bring us samples of a bunch before we made up our mind. We both ended up with a stout. We had a queso/sloppy Joe mixed dip as an app. While very tasty, it wasn't very hot (temp), which was a problem with much of the food. We had a pizza and fish tacos for mains. We also shared a cheesecake (or was it key lime) for desert. All were good, except for temp. The best part is with tax and tip dinner was only around $70.

The service is EXCELLENT! No waiting, no flagging down a waitress. They were beyond attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and so polite. We had a problem with the wings being stone cold and my husband's Shrimp Po' Girl sandwich was inedible because the shrimp were also stone cold, it was about 9" long and wasn't even cut in half so he could pick it up and eat it. My sweet and smoky rubbed wings were spot on, though. So were my husband's fries. Seasonings were spot on and perfectly fried without being greasy in the slightest. Our appetizer was the fried mushrooms. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, they dump them out of a bag pulled from the freezer. THESE were totally different and super delicious! Almost like they were freshly hand-breaded and fried! Look at the pictures! Amazing! We were so full by the end that we took home 10 wings even though I only ordered 20 to begin with. Somehow my husband managed to plow through his entire sandwich and most of his fries (I helped just because they were so good) and his help with my wings didn't really make a dent in them, although he gets a star for good effort lol. Our first batch of bbq sauced wings were cold, as was my husband's shrimp in his po' girl sandwich, but both were quickly rectified by our fabulous waitress, Sarah. She divulged to us that she had only been working here a week, but she's doing one helluva job (in our opinion). Kept her cool and was well organized, made sure things were perfect for the customer. That was a great sign! The restaurant is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and with all the cars it didn't feel crowded as we expected. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and the menu extensive. I ordered the burger and my husband had a fish sandwich. The portion of the fish that was served was huge, but not cooked long enough in my husband's opinion. The burger was more bun than meat.
