    Longhorn Salmon
    Lauren S.

I stopped in for lunch, right around noon. I went to get blood work done at Quest, in the same center. I was starving because I had to fast. I have only ordered the salmon as an entree any time I have visited a Longhorn so I planned to do the same this visit. I was by myself so I did not plan on anything other than an entree and drink. The parking lot was filled so I was anticipating the restaurant would be packed too. I decided to sit at the bar and luckily there was 1 seat available. I was greeted as soon as I sat. I was given a menu and was offered to order a drink. I ordered a beer because that's what came to mind first. The bartender came by shortly after, took my order, and offered me bread. The food came out quickly and was exactly how I ordered it. The food was hot and everything tasted good. Like I said, I was starving so I scarfed down my lunch! The bartender checked on me several times. I did not need anything else so I requested the check. Since the check was cheaper than I expected, I tipped extra. I would definitely recommend dining here. I was only in the bar area but it appeared clean and the staff was working.

Longhorn is the best steakhouse, yes there are are others here and Ocala, but some are to expensive, and others just don't have an appealing taste. At Longhorn you get great service a very tasty dinner and the atmosphere is very nice. It is my favorite to go place when I want a good filet mignon and I'm very particular about how my filet is done. It's always done very well to my liking. To me this is the #1 steakhouse in Ocala, Florida!!

Omg wow it was amazing my server Timmothy was on point he constantly checked on us. The food was good my wife got a steak that she could cut with her fork the wild west shrimp definitely outdid itself all & all it was a great time.

I visited this location yesterday, 8/7/2025, to have a 70th Birthday Dinner for my dad. I called to set up a reservation on August 1st around 2pm.. The guy that answered asked me to call back around 6:30pm and when I did, I was told to call back the following day and speak to the manager. I decided to wait until Monday and that's when I spoke to a manager, I think his name was Westley.. (he made sure I knew his name was on the front door just in case I got the name wrong) He was extremely rude and pushy from the very beginning. He made me feel like I needed to find another restaurant to have this event at. But my dad lives in Ocala and I didn't want him to have to drive very far. I explained to him multiple times that there would be at LEAST 30 people in the party. He explained in a very rude way that he basically can accommodate us, but we wouldn't be sitting together and he's not moving tables to accommodate us for a party larger than 12.. When we arrived, we were greeted by Antonio, the host.. (Young guy with a ponytail on the top of his head) He was very standoffish as well.. Some of my party was there and seated when I arrived and when I told Antonio who I was looking for, his reply was "back left".. Then he proceeded to start back talking to the young lady standing next to him.. I have never visited this location, so I didn't know what he was referring to. I asked again and he just pointed.. He later came to our party and informed us that we could not have any more guests, even though all of our party hadn't even arrived. Then here comes Westley telling me in a very rude way in front of our entire party that he told me that he wasn't going to move tables and that we were basically going to have to sit wherever, and they were not occupying another booth for our party. I immediately walked away for the sake of making my dad's birthday dinner a success. I am a Food Truck owner (Zapp's Rolling Stove Llc), I have owned 2 restaurants of my own and have managed MANY restaurants in the past and I would NEVER treat my guests the way these 2 gentlemen treated us.. Management is definitely not the job for ole Westley. Or perhaps some retraining on how to treat a customer... Especially if they're spending hundreds of dollars in your establishment in one sitting. On a brighter note, our servers were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.. Very attentive to all of us, kept the tables cleared and the drinks filled. They sang Happy Birthday to my dad even after informing me that they don't do the big birthday celebration like other restaurants. All 3 of our servers came out and sang and gave my dad a free dessert. There was also a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was extremely nice as well.. Bald gentleman without the same uniform as the rest of the crew.. He assisted the servers in passing out the food.. They were fantastic.. The food was RIGHT ON POINT!! Everything was hot, fresh and no orders were incorrectly.. Kitchen staff did a wonderful job making our day go good. Other than the rude Host/Busser and the mad manager, it went well.. But those 2 guys are going to run off some good customers because even though the food was good and the servers were good, I don't know if I would come back..

I prefer Longhorn Steakhouse over any other franchise type "steakery" (if I may?). This was my first visit to this location and I left a bit disappointed. Granted, it was a Friday night, 6pm, and this place was very busy. First, I like the online/text app to show where your place in line is. This was helpful but I was quoted 45 minutes that actually became an hour. Our service was friendly but mixed up our wines, (Cab/Pino-both reds with different tastes)...hey it happens. Our steaks were over cooked (I'm sure the cooks were overwhelmed) Filet Mignon-no pink, bone in ribeye -not med rare was chewy and dry. Our sweet potatoes were undercooked (ran out of baked potatoes) and my mushrooms were wrinkly...? The restroom was flooded and needed some care...but hey, they were extremely busy. I'll be back on a slower night and try again.

I came here waiting for someone else and received great customer service from the bar. She recommended a drink from their happy hour and the Margarita had me feeling good, I ordered two and was definitely set. I love how attentive the staff was and how clean the restaurant was as well. I came to this long horn traveling with a friend for work and at first I wasn't going to go in but I'm so glad that I did. I don't like their bread but the Brussels sprouts were great, I got them with garlic butter instead of their honey butter that normally comes with it.

Celebrating one's mother properly can sometimes be difficult to do, and I wanted everything to feel thoughtful, elegant, and memorable. Steve, the manager, played an important role in making that happen, and I remain sincerely grateful for his kindness and attention to detail. Although our party was only three, we were given a beautiful table in the back that felt private, comfortable, and perfectly suited for the evening. We still enjoyed the lively energy from the nearby bar while having a quieter space of our own to celebrate. It struck the ideal balance between atmosphere and intimacy. Hailey was our primary server and was training George that evening, which meant we benefited from the care of two attentive and friendly servers. Service moved smoothly throughout the night and never felt rushed. The food was, for the most part, delicious, with steaks and dishes that reflected the restaurant's reputation for quality. There was one minor issue with my own steak, which had more butter than I would have preferred, but it was far too small a matter to overshadow the purpose of the night. What mattered most was seeing my mother genuinely happy and enjoying herself. That meant the world to me, and to her as well. My thanks to Steve, Hailey, George, and the Remington's team for helping create a birthday celebration I will remember with gratitude... and so will my mother.

I think the food was superior and the staff was great behind the bar. I do love the decor as it is very much equestrian in a classy way. As for the waitstaff in the restaurant, a bit more training on the menu might be advised. When asking for a recommendation I was recited the entire menu. Really??? The host was less than personable. This is the first and usually the last person to greet and thank their customers. Neither occurred when I was there. I have been there three times. I plan on going back again. I hope this time they will have beer for my brother as that is all he drinks. Maybe some local or specialty ones. The noise level was high all three times I was there. That can only be helped by doing something with the acoustics and adding sound dampeners. I look forward to giving them another try. I am hoping the host station will improve as well as the training of the waitstaff. I hope they are around for a long time and I wish them much luck.

I was with my in-laws, and we were looking for a place to eat dinner in downtown while waiting for some other family to join us. It seems like on Mondays, there is not a ton open in the downtown Ocala area in terms of restaurants. This makes sense, but we chose to eat here primarily because it was open on a Monday, along with recommendations from those I was with. They had eaten here before, but it was my first time. The restaurant is located on a corner in downtown Ocala, near the square. Since it is in the city, there is no dedicated parking beyond what you find on the street. However, I have never had an issue finding parking in the general area when visiting this part of town, so unless it is a crowded evening or special event, you should have no issues. When we arrived, it was still early in the evening and we had no issue getting a table. As the night progressed, more people started coming in for their Bachelor viewing party. It seems like this draws a big crowd. They even announced that they were doing giveaways and other fun activities for the series season finale the following week. I imagine they hold other types of events as well, so that might be something to look out for if you are planning on stopping. We sat at a table near the front, and waited a couple minutes for the server to come by. She was, honestly, somewhat aggressive and not very kind. I tried to order a beer on the menu, and she went to make sure it wasn't out of stock. Then, I asked her about the Monday special on the menu, and she acted like she never even heard of it before. She stated that she didn't normally work on Mondays, but the manner in which this was communicated made it feel like it was my fault for inquiring about this. I ended up having a Garage Beer on tap, and it was serviceable. I also wanted to order the advertised $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries special, and got the D-Nice Way Grilled Cheese with this. I actually very much enjoyed the grilled cheese, but the fries were the star of the plate. They were crispy and crunchy, but not very thin. I had never had a fry quite like that! Would highly recommend giving them a try here at least once. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe after we ordered. It was not too quick, but did not take forever, either. Besides what I mentioned previously, I was satisfied with the other service received. I thought the prices here, in general, were fair and on par with other restaurants that are similar. They run different specials during different days of the week, as outlined on the menu. For example, Monday is supposed to be $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries. I ordered this, but I am not confident I got it for this price. Someone I was with paid the bill, but the waitress did not seem to be aware of what this special actually was. So, if you are wanting to order a special, I would explicitly say that when ordering to be sure you get it. Overall, I enjoyed the vibes and the food at this place. It seems like they have activities several nights a week to bring in different crowds, along with specials on food and drinks. The service left a lot to be desired, as our waitress was not very friendly nor knowledgeable on the specials. I would be willing to give this another try, but hopefully with a different waitress.

He extended such a generous invitation, and since we've been getting along beautifully, it felt like the perfect opportunity to share a truly special evening together. Stirrups, tucked inside the World Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, already feels like an experience the moment you walk in. The staff were polished, kind, and welcoming from the door to the table, and the setting itself feels refined in the best way. Once we sat down, everything unfolded effortlessly. The bread service alone deserved its own applause. Three different breads, each more delicious than the last, and the whipped honey butter was almost dessert-worthy. I ordered the largest cut of the filet mignon and it was absolutely more than I could eat. Tender, flavorful, beautifully prepared. Ronnald went bold with the twenty two ounce bone-in ribeye, and he finished it without a single bite coming home. If that doesn't say everything, I don't know what does. We shared roasted vegetables, Florida mushrooms, charred broccolini, and sipped our drinks. Prosecco for me, Pinot Noir for him. The kind of meal that feels like it's unfolding in chapters. But what made the night truly unforgettable was the company. Great food is wonderful, but great company transforms an evening. We laughed, talked, and enjoyed every moment, and it meant the world to me that he included me on his special day. The restaurant even surprised him with a birthday dessert, and as we were leaving, the host stand called to let him know he'd left his birthday card on the table. We decided the ribeye must have been the culprit. It was one of those rare nights that felt elevated, intimate, and memorable from start to finish. I am genuinely grateful to Ronnald for inviting me. It was a beautiful celebration, and I wouldn't have wanted to spend the evening anywhere else.

So when Kimberley K. recommended Stirrups and I reviewed the menu I was all in! The restaurant itself is located on the ground floor of the World Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, Florida. Now for those Yelpers reading this review from around the globe, Ocala is approximately a one hour thirty minute drive north from my home base of Orlando. No worries though, for a great meal, time and distance is no object. Upon entering the hotel and the restaurant, service was outstanding. From the doorman, to the front desk, to Margaret from Security (BIG THANKS FOR TAKING OUR PRE-MEAL PHOTOS), to our servers, I have only the highest of regards. And this brings us to our meal... River and Milagros did double duty as our servers and were a delight throughout the evening. The Bread Service to begin the meal was stellar. Three different bread options, including a Sweet Potato Roll (LUSCIOUS!)...and the Whipped Honey Butter (OH, YEAH!) For my entree, I chose the 22 oz. Bone-In Ribeye and Kimberley opted for the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Both dishes included Roasted Vegetables but, we also selected the Florida Mushrooms and Charred Broccolini to accompany our meal. Paired with a glass of Prosecco for Kimberley and a glass of Pinot Noir for yours truly and we were set! Everything and I mean everything was tasty. The meat dishes were perfectly grilled to our requested temperatures and the seasoning was on point. The sides were flavorsome and plentiful. AND DID I MENTION THERE WAS NO TAKE HOME BOX FOR MY 22 OUNCE RIBEYE! Yes, it was "one and done"! But the festivities didn't stop there, I was provided a gratis Birthday dessert by the restaurant. A perfect ending to a memorable meal. And speaking of my memory, a tremendous THANK YOU to Kaysie at the host stand...she called me on my cellphone as Kimberley and I were leaving the hotel saying I left my birthday card at our table...Hey, I can blame forgetting my card on getting one year older or the fact I just ate a 22 oz. Ribeye at one sitting...come to think of it, I'm sure it was because of the RIBEYE!

This burger was cooked perfectly, had good flavor, was topped with a sweet and spicy jerk sauce. It was everything that I expected. My friend had the Brie burger and his daughter had the smash burger and they both said those burgers were very good as well. Our server was attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I would definitely go back again.

We showed up tonight to celebrate my birthday (today), my hubby's (Monday) and our daughter in…read morelaw's (this past Thursday). Couldn't think of a better place to eat, drink and be merry at! Tonight was "trivia night", which, while we didn't play, we did enjoy trying to guess the answers. Our grand daughter's face was a big "O" of amazement when realizing the upper tables were enjoying roasting their marshmallows at their table...when she was told they were making s'mores...she went nuts! She's so excited to get tableside s'mores! My wings were even better than they were last time since there was an addition of seasonings sprinkled on them along with the dill pickles, but unfortunately, our cheeseburger pizza suffered from not having enough mustard and ketchup base to it, the tomatoes were enormous chunks and so were red onions. It made it very difficult to eat without things falling all over your clothing since they were such huge chunks on top of the tiny pieces of pizza. My husband got the steak bomb sub, son got a pepperoni Stromboli, daughter in law got the Sharon's Brie burger, grand daughter the child's cheeseburger and fries. Our apps were the garlic knots, mild wings (10) and fried cheese curds with sriracha ranch dipping sauce. Everything was okay, except that it took forever for everything to come out, compared to our first visit. Even our s'mores seemed to take forever. The quickest part of the whole visit was the bill . The fella that waited on us the first time was on point. Not saying that the young lady waiting on us was rude or anything, but I think she was trying to do too many things at once and some things just fell by the wayside. Last visit we came in on a Saturday as well, but perhaps some people are just better at multitasking? I don't know. This time, our bill was over $200 with tip, but we still brought home food again. Not a lot compared to the last time, only 2 little pickle wings (I still can't get enough of those darn things!) and maybe 4 slices of pizza. My husband's loaded tots weren't to his liking, so there's something even for the dog tomorrow We may stay away for awhile and see if they manage to work out some kinks. If anything, the best rule is consistency. If the food preparation is not consistent every time you go to eat there, there's a problem. There should be NO deviation just because someone else is cooking it. All recipes should be the same. Twice we've ordered the same items and they've been different. I still recommend this place for great vibes, cocktails, food and the tableside s'mores. There's just nowhere else like it!
