Longhorn Salmon
Lauren S.

I stopped in for lunch, right around noon. I went to get blood work done at Quest, in the same center. I was starving because I had to fast. I have only ordered the salmon as an entree any time I have visited a Longhorn so I planned to do the same this visit. I was by myself so I did not plan on anything other than an entree and drink. The parking lot was filled so I was anticipating the restaurant would be packed too. I decided to sit at the bar and luckily there was 1 seat available. I was greeted as soon as I sat. I was given a menu and was offered to order a drink. I ordered a beer because that's what came to mind first. The bartender came by shortly after, took my order, and offered me bread. The food came out quickly and was exactly how I ordered it. The food was hot and everything tasted good. Like I said, I was starving so I scarfed down my lunch! The bartender checked on me several times. I did not need anything else so I requested the check. Since the check was cheaper than I expected, I tipped extra. I would definitely recommend dining here. I was only in the bar area but it appeared clean and the staff was working.

Longhorn is the best steakhouse, yes there are are others here and Ocala, but some are to expensive, and others just don't have an appealing taste. At Longhorn you get great service a very tasty dinner and the atmosphere is very nice. It is my favorite to go place when I want a good filet mignon and I'm very particular about how my filet is done. It's always done very well to my liking. To me this is the #1 steakhouse in Ocala, Florida!!

Omg wow it was amazing my server Timmothy was on point he constantly checked on us. The food was good my wife got a steak that she could cut with her fork the wild west shrimp definitely outdid itself all & all it was a great time.

I visited this location yesterday, 8/7/2025, to have a 70th Birthday Dinner for my dad. I called to set up a reservation on August 1st around 2pm.. The guy that answered asked me to call back around 6:30pm and when I did, I was told to call back the following day and speak to the manager. I decided to wait until Monday and that's when I spoke to a manager, I think his name was Westley.. (he made sure I knew his name was on the front door just in case I got the name wrong) He was extremely rude and pushy from the very beginning. He made me feel like I needed to find another restaurant to have this event at. But my dad lives in Ocala and I didn't want him to have to drive very far. I explained to him multiple times that there would be at LEAST 30 people in the party. He explained in a very rude way that he basically can accommodate us, but we wouldn't be sitting together and he's not moving tables to accommodate us for a party larger than 12.. When we arrived, we were greeted by Antonio, the host.. (Young guy with a ponytail on the top of his head) He was very standoffish as well.. Some of my party was there and seated when I arrived and when I told Antonio who I was looking for, his reply was "back left".. Then he proceeded to start back talking to the young lady standing next to him.. I have never visited this location, so I didn't know what he was referring to. I asked again and he just pointed.. He later came to our party and informed us that we could not have any more guests, even though all of our party hadn't even arrived. Then here comes Westley telling me in a very rude way in front of our entire party that he told me that he wasn't going to move tables and that we were basically going to have to sit wherever, and they were not occupying another booth for our party. I immediately walked away for the sake of making my dad's birthday dinner a success. I am a Food Truck owner (Zapp's Rolling Stove Llc), I have owned 2 restaurants of my own and have managed MANY restaurants in the past and I would NEVER treat my guests the way these 2 gentlemen treated us.. Management is definitely not the job for ole Westley. Or perhaps some retraining on how to treat a customer... Especially if they're spending hundreds of dollars in your establishment in one sitting. On a brighter note, our servers were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.. Very attentive to all of us, kept the tables cleared and the drinks filled. They sang Happy Birthday to my dad even after informing me that they don't do the big birthday celebration like other restaurants. All 3 of our servers came out and sang and gave my dad a free dessert. There was also a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was extremely nice as well.. Bald gentleman without the same uniform as the rest of the crew.. He assisted the servers in passing out the food.. They were fantastic.. The food was RIGHT ON POINT!! Everything was hot, fresh and no orders were incorrectly.. Kitchen staff did a wonderful job making our day go good. Other than the rude Host/Busser and the mad manager, it went well.. But those 2 guys are going to run off some good customers because even though the food was good and the servers were good, I don't know if I would come back..

I prefer Longhorn Steakhouse over any other franchise type "steakery" (if I may?). This was my first visit to this location and I left a bit disappointed. Granted, it was a Friday night, 6pm, and this place was very busy. First, I like the online/text app to show where your place in line is. This was helpful but I was quoted 45 minutes that actually became an hour. Our service was friendly but mixed up our wines, (Cab/Pino-both reds with different tastes)...hey it happens. Our steaks were over cooked (I'm sure the cooks were overwhelmed) Filet Mignon-no pink, bone in ribeye -not med rare was chewy and dry. Our sweet potatoes were undercooked (ran out of baked potatoes) and my mushrooms were wrinkly...? The restroom was flooded and needed some care...but hey, they were extremely busy. I'll be back on a slower night and try again.

I came here waiting for someone else and received great customer service from the bar. She recommended a drink from their happy hour and the Margarita had me feeling good, I ordered two and was definitely set. I love how attentive the staff was and how clean the restaurant was as well. I came to this long horn traveling with a friend for work and at first I wasn't going to go in but I'm so glad that I did. I don't like their bread but the Brussels sprouts were great, I got them with garlic butter instead of their honey butter that normally comes with it.

This is my favorite steak house in Ocala. The food is always prepared correctly. My only complaint is the carpet needs to be replaced.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It's definitely the sort of spot you'll feel tempted to linger. Get to it!

Tonight was "trivia night", which, while we didn't play, we did enjoy trying to guess the answers. Our grand daughter's face was a big "O" of amazement when realizing the upper tables were enjoying roasting their marshmallows at their table...when she was told they were making s'mores...she went nuts! She's so excited to get tableside s'mores! My wings were even better than they were last time since there was an addition of seasonings sprinkled on them along with the dill pickles, but unfortunately, our cheeseburger pizza suffered from not having enough mustard and ketchup base to it, the tomatoes were enormous chunks and so were red onions. It made it very difficult to eat without things falling all over your clothing since they were such huge chunks on top of the tiny pieces of pizza. My husband got the steak bomb sub, son got a pepperoni Stromboli, daughter in law got the Sharon's Brie burger, grand daughter the child's cheeseburger and fries. Our apps were the garlic knots, mild wings (10) and fried cheese curds with sriracha ranch dipping sauce. Everything was okay, except that it took forever for everything to come out, compared to our first visit. Even our s'mores seemed to take forever. The quickest part of the whole visit was the bill . The fella that waited on us the first time was on point. Not saying that the young lady waiting on us was rude or anything, but I think she was trying to do too many things at once and some things just fell by the wayside. Last visit we came in on a Saturday as well, but perhaps some people are just better at multitasking? I don't know. This time, our bill was over $200 with tip, but we still brought home food again. Not a lot compared to the last time, only 2 little pickle wings (I still can't get enough of those darn things!) and maybe 4 slices of pizza. My husband's loaded tots weren't to his liking, so there's something even for the dog tomorrow We may stay away for awhile and see if they manage to work out some kinks. If anything, the best rule is consistency. If the food preparation is not consistent every time you go to eat there, there's a problem. There should be NO deviation just because someone else is cooking it. All recipes should be the same. Twice we've ordered the same items and they've been different. I still recommend this place for great vibes, cocktails, food and the tableside s'mores. There's just nowhere else like it!

There are a few tables outside, right by the door. There are signs that make it clear they are non smoking tables. We decided to eat inside, were seated right away and our server came quickly. This burger was cooked perfectly, had good flavor, was topped with a sweet and spicy jerk sauce. It was everything that I expected. My friend had the Brie burger and his daughter had the smash burger and they both said those burgers were very good as well. Our server was attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I would definitely go back again.

Unfortunately for me I was looking for a brewery experience and Big Hammock is not that. They do have a good amount of local craft beers on tap which is a definite plus. They just didn't have any of their own beer. Maybe they are brewing, but if they are not, they should change the brewery in their name to brew pub because the name is definitely misleading. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. Now owned by the proprietors of Scrambles, we're glad they kept the iconic name even if there's a new menu. We drove in and parked in the back where there are stairs leading you to a back entrance. We were immediately seated in a booth along Silver Springs Blvd./Hwy 40 and noticed how good the sound insulation was. The place looked clean and new, and our server, who worked for the original Wolfy's for 14 years, acknowledged that the place needed some refurbishing. After looking at the menu, my wife ordered the Southwest Avocado omelet with hash browns ($13.39) (they didn't have grilled potatoes because they were closed for the 4th of July our server informed us) and I tried their Eggs Benedict Arnold with hash browns ($13.29). My wife also ordered coffee. My wife loved her omelet commenting how fluffy the eggs were and how flavorful the sausage, fire roasted corn and black beans were. She also liked the fresh lime cream and avocado slices topping the omelet. The hash browns were meh. My eggs Benedict were good. While the hollandaise sauce tasted good, it didn't look as creamy as the better sauces I've had. The hash browns were not hot and didn't seem freshly prepared...it was our least favorite part of our breakfast. All in all, a good dining experience, although we'll avoid the disappointing hash browns the next time we visit. Breakfast for 2, with tip, came out to just over $37.
