I took my mom to LongHorn Steakhouse for her birthday dinner and it definitely did not disappoint. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time after seeing it all over TikTok, and I can't believe I've been sleeping on it for all these years. This was my first visit! First of all, the bread... omg. It was so snugly soft and warm. I loved it. We also ordered the wings and I really enjoyed them. I believe they were baked, which is a plus for me because it made me feel a little guilt-free. Lol. They also have $6.49 margaritas all day, so you already know I had to grab one. And let me tell you... the bartender was NOT stingy with the liquor. My kind of bartender! For dinner, my mom ordered the ribs with a baked potato and broccoli. Mommy was reluctant to irder the ribs because she's so picky about her ribs but she sid not regret it. She loved them I got the Parmesan crusted ribeye with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. The ribeye itself was tender perfection. The Parmesan crust had great flavor, although I will say if you get too much of it in one bite it can lean a little salty. Still very good overall. My husband ordered the Parmesan crusted chivken with a sweet potato and fries, and he had no complaints either. To top it off, I ordered the strawberry cheesecake (my mom's favorite) and it was so good. Now let me talk about our waitress. She was phenomenal! A ball of positive energy the entire time. She even had the most beautiful singing voice! I hate that I can't remember her name, but she absolutely deserves a raise. She was thoughtful, attentive, and honestly the bonus that made our overall experience even better. Overall, we had a great experience and no complaints at all. I'll definitely be back! Parking right in the front of the restaurant was a bit tight because it was a busy Friday night but there's parking surrounding the restaurant was since it shares a lot with some stores. Went into Longhorns for lunch yesterday and ordered the New York strip steak, medium. It was cooked almost perfect but a bit on the medium rare side. It tasted excellent and was very tender. The loaded baked potato was good but the skin of the potato was tough, not sure why. I think that the dinner should include a side salad but it does not. Restaurant was so cold, I needed a jacket. Asked the host to turn it back and it was good until it came back on about 15 minutes later. So we left without finishing meal but brought it home. I ordered a medium well bacon burger. What I received was a well done burnt outer burger no pink on the inside cooked fully through. Worst burger I've had at a steakhouse bar none. I stopped in for lunch, right around noon. I went to get blood work done at Quest, in the same center. I was starving because I had to fast. I have only ordered the salmon as an entree any time I have visited a Longhorn so I planned to do the same this visit. I was by myself so I did not plan on anything other than an entree and drink. The parking lot was filled so I was anticipating the restaurant would be packed too. I decided to sit at the bar and luckily there was 1 seat available. I was greeted as soon as I sat. I was given a menu and was offered to order a drink. I ordered a beer because that's what came to mind first. The bartender came by shortly after, took my order, and offered me bread. The food came out quickly and was exactly how I ordered it. The food was hot and everything tasted good. Like I said, I was starving so I scarfed down my lunch! My steak arrived w/o the seasoning today. Another person in our party ordered her steak w/o seasoning due to her multiple allergies. This was February 20th, 2026. This was brought to our wonderful servers attention. She only offered a cup with the missing seasoning or a cup of garlic butter seasoning. Evidently our steaks were mixed up somehow. This restaurant had A+ service and delicious food!! Our server, Tricia, was amazing!! When we were seated she was there at the table before the host ever left ! She was so friendly and fast! She checked in on us regularly and was on top of when our food and drinks were ready. Longhorn is the best steakhouse, yes there are are others here and Ocala, but some are to expensive, and others just don't have an appealing taste. At Longhorn you get great service a very tasty dinner and the atmosphere is very nice. It is my favorite to go place when I want a good filet mignon and I'm very particular about how my filet is done. It's always done very well to my liking. I visited this location yesterday, 8/7/2025, to have a 70th Birthday Dinner for my dad. I called to set up a reservation on August 1st around 2pm.. The guy that answered asked me to call back around 6:30pm and when I did, I was told to call back the following day and speak to the manager. I decided to wait until Monday and that's when I spoke to a manager, I think his name was Westley.. (he made sure I knew his name was on the front door just in case I got the name wrong) He was extremely rude and pushy from the very beginning. He made me feel like I needed to find another restaurant to have this event at. But my dad lives in Ocala and I didn't want him to have to drive very far. I explained to him multiple times that there would be at LEAST 30 people in the party. He explained in a very rude way that he basically can accommodate us, but we wouldn't be sitting together and he's not moving tables to accommodate us for a party larger than 12.. When we arrived, we were greeted by Antonio, the host.. (Young guy with a ponytail on the top of his head) He was very standoffish as well.. Some of my party was there and seated when I arrived and when I told Antonio who I was looking for, his reply was "back left".. Then he proceeded to start back talking to the young lady standing next to him.. I have never visited this location, so I didn't know what he was referring to. I asked again and he just pointed.. He later came to our party and informed us that we could not have any more guests, even though all of our party hadn't even arrived. Then here comes Westley telling me in a very rude way in front of our entire party that he told me that he wasn't going to move tables and that we were basically going to have to sit wherever, and they were not occupying another booth for our party. I immediately walked away for the sake of making my dad's birthday dinner a success. I am a Food Truck owner (Zapp's Rolling Stove Llc), I have owned 2 restaurants of my own and have managed MANY restaurants in the past and I would NEVER treat my guests the way these 2 gentlemen treated us.. Management is definitely not the job for ole Westley. Or perhaps some retraining on how to treat a customer... Especially if they're spending hundreds of dollars in your establishment in one sitting. On a brighter note, our servers were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.. Very attentive to all of us, kept the tables cleared and the drinks filled. They sang Happy Birthday to my dad even after informing me that they don't do the big birthday celebration like other restaurants. All 3 of our servers came out and sang and gave my dad a free dessert. There was also a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was extremely nice as well.. Bald gentleman without the same uniform as the rest of the crew.. He assisted the servers in passing out the food.. They were fantastic.. The food was RIGHT ON POINT!! The host handled the mass at the door with appropriate communication & efficiency, and a pleasant demeanor that belied the crush of people. Granted, it was a Friday night, 6pm, and this place was very busy. First, I like the online/text app to show where your place in line is. This was helpful but I was quoted 45 minutes that actually became an hour. Our service was friendly but mixed up our wines, (Cab/Pino-both reds with different tastes)...hey it happens. Our steaks were over cooked (I'm sure the cooks were overwhelmed) Filet Mignon-no pink, bone in ribeye -not med rare was chewy and dry. She recommended a drink from their happy hour and the Margarita had me feeling good, I ordered two and was definitely set. I love how attentive the staff was and how clean the restaurant was as well. I came to this long horn traveling with a friend for work and at first I wasn't going to go in but I'm so glad that I did. Hostess was not very personable. Restaurant could stand a good clean. Carpets are sticky, tile floors greasy, sitting at the table you could smell the bar and bathroom were nasty. This was by far the worst experience I've endured within a restaurant. My family and I reserved seating for 15 family members in honor of my aunts birthday. We arrive and began the check in process. Our reservation time was for 4pm. Long story turned short, we were finally seated at 4:40pm. We sat at the table for 20 mins before the manager came over and asked if we had been helped. Within the 20 mins of seating, several waiters walked past and didn't ask for drinks, offer bread, heck we still didn't know who was responsible to take care of our table. I decided to ask the waiter who was helping the table behind ours if she by chance knew who would be working our table. The look on her face gave attitude. She then proceeds walking and saying with an attitude no I don't! like bruh you have to know who has the tables around you or you was she responsible for our table....... Communication is key! We decided to speak with the manager. He was very apologetic. I explained to him how rude the waiter was when simply asked if she knew who would be covering our tables after being in the restaurant and waiting for nearly a hour. The look on his face showed that he was upset. By this time, the party of 15 walked out. They lost money and waiter lost what could have been a nice tip. Needless to say we won't be eating to this specific location anymore (Ocala). Again, I think it's this location. We decided on Ocala because it was closer tot family in the area. Needless to say, we will stick with the Gainesville location moving forward. read more

This location, however, had delicious food but slow service. My boyfriend ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and I ordered the Farm Fresh Fields Salad with Shrimp. I really appreciated that the waitress was able to bring me a separate menu of gluten free items. We both enjoyed our meals. Other favorites from our family are the Wild West Shrimp appetizer, strawberry and feta salad, and Salmon entree. You MUST get their ranch dressing when you order a salad. The restaurant was pretty quiet but the service was still slower than expected. We had a larger party (6 total) but the dinner still took almost two hours.
