Came to pick up a family friend from camp with my own newborn and toddler in tow. After waiting in the carpool line I pulled up and proceeded to load them In. A young lady told me I can't stop but to just be quick so I continued. I'm not sure how you safely put kids in the car without stopping, so i didn't realize this was problematic. The next lady that approached me was extremely rude yelling at me that I can't do this and she's going to report it. I let them know I don't the system, but if they tell me a better option I would be happy to do it. There was no reason to be that rude. Politely offering a more appropriate solution would've been sufficient. Instead this lady was aggressive with me as I was juggling two toddlers and a newborn in the Texas summer heat. The last thing I wanted to do was slow down the line, but being nasty about it when the first young lady told me it was ok feels like her anger was misplaced. Unacceptable.

The location is great to the Meyerland/Bellaire and surrounding communities. The gym is filled with everything you need to get a great workout. They have a changing room, and also cubbies to hold your belongings. Electric machines, weights, cross fit equipment. They have personal trainers to help. Very clean facility, water on hand if you forgot your own and coffee. The gym has a spin room and a separate room for their many classes which include, body pump, yoga, Zumba, pilates, strength training, women only classes on hand and over 60 classes as well and many more. There is a monthly schedule listed online. I believe with the membership you also have access to the pool and they do have classes. The downfall is that they don't have a ton of evening classes for working folks, but there are some options. Most classes are in the morning to early afternoon. Overall I am very happy with this gym. People of all ages and all walks of life will be found here.

I accidentally scheduled for a morning session and put an afternoon time in my calendar. When I realized it, I was so disappointed. I called, and the representative I talked to was so kind and told us to go ahead and come as we were a small party. Even though they were sold out, they fit us in. The instructions to get there were a bit confusing because the store they used as a reference on the website was no longer there. However, we were grateful for parking and floor instructions. The experience was geared towards younger kids, so my 12 year-old wasn't super entertained. But she did say it was a nice experience for our little. Nothing a good sushi dinner afterwards couldn't make up for. The activities were great. My little was so excited and the wonder in her eyes was priceless. It was a bit warm in there, so that would be feedback for making it comfortable for patrons. And it looked like there was once a working photo opportunity at the end. I appreciate the representative that took photos for us with our phone. Overall, I think it was a great experience. I paid a lower price for planning ahead (even though I got the time wrong). I like the concept!

Bluey camp I bought this as an Eid gift for my children. We…read moreare definitely a bluey household. My daughter had a bluey themed birthday party just about a month earlier, and most of her clothes are adorned with bluey and bingo. So when I saw that this camp was in town, I knew we had to make it. First things first, which is that we spent just a couple of dollars short shy of $200 for our family of 7 (baby was free so we only bought 6 tickets). At least they didn't charge for the baby, although I'm always annoyed when things like this charge for adults. The check in process was easy and the girl who gave us the tour going in (Sophia) was fun and easy going. You pretty much explore the house for 50 minutes, before you actually are able to meet bingo and bluey. So you're essentially killing time for about an hour. When we came in, they played keepy uppy and had a little dance party later and coloring sheets. It was essentially what I did at my daughter's birthday party, but with strangers. I do wish they had more fun things going on. They definitely could have incorporated more. Because giving kids coloring shades seem like a cop out... That could have been something to just give the kids before they left. Having a dance party and playing keepy uppy is nice, but I felt like the people working there could have done more things or had more fun. A few of the people seem to stay "in character", but some were just doing their job. The house had details from the show, but it also could use a good cleaning and update some of the things. Almost an hour of that seemed to have lulls. I didn't mind it too much because I started feeding my baby, but I can see how just following your kid around in a house would get tiring when they want to see their favorite characters. We finally got to meet bluey and bingo and the person in that room was great about taking our pictures. They informed us that taking the pictures with them would be $15, so we opted to just take pictures on our phone. Whe we were leaving, they had Johnny pops Popsicles in a freezer and I was going to get six of them for our family and they informed me that they are only for kids, even though they charged for the adults. So that was a bummer, but also unnecessary. I asked for one for my younger daughter, and girl at the counter laughed, and I said I was serious. The girl at the counter literally would not give me a popsicle for my other daughter who had to go to the restroom, and waited for her to come back from the restroom just to hand her a popsicle. It left a sour taste in my mouth even though it was not sherbert (get it? Bluey reference). We spent almost $200 and could not have been given less than $8 worth of Popsicles. Ridiculous. Other than that girl with black hair and glasses, everyone else over there is going to be helpful and nice, and it was a fun experience for my children.

I was a Y member for 10 years and this was probably my 2nd fave Houston area location after downtown. It did get busy during rush hour, but what doesn't. However, their prices shot up during COVID, they started limiting workouts and that lasted for ages, and became extremely shady with their finances. They still owe us $500 for all the money they charged us after we canceled, but the joke is on them, because I tell everyone their shady practices and they've probably lost a lot more than 500 in dues from me and a lot more than 50,000 in dues from the people I've told the honest truth to. The gym is clean and works well, though.

This is a great neighborhood YMCA with a good variety of amenities and classes. One of the biggest…read morehighlights is the outdoor pool, which is heated during the winter and stays open year-round unless temperatures drop below freezing. The pool also has a 9-foot deep end and a few lap lanes. One downside is there's very little shade around the pool area. Inside, there are free weights and cardio areas, basketball courts, TRX setup, and several group fitness rooms offering classes like yoga, pilates, Zumba, pickleball, and other fitness programs. The instructors and staff have always been very friendly and welcoming. The men's and women's locker rooms also include a steam sauna and hot tub, which are nice amenities. However, the steam saunas are frequently closed or broken for maintenance, so I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm what's currently working before visiting. Another downside is that the lockers require you to bring your own lock--they do not have built-in combination locks like many newer gyms. They offer memberships for different age groups, and another huge plus is the free covered parking garage. However, during weekday evenings (around 6 p.m.), the garage can get pretty full due to after-work crowds and youth programs. I've been a YMCA member for several years and would definitely recommend this location.

I also like the weight room as it has an impressive selection of smith machines and cardio equipment such as the treadmills which have fans incorporated into their machines. There are 3 things I have noticed that I don't like: 1. the weight room doesn't have a bench that allows you to do workouts in declined mode and the staff wouldn't let me donate a commercial bench with that option. so Declined DB or BB press cannot be done which is strange as it is offered at most corporate gyms. 2. DB selections for the most common weights sets such as 10-25 lb are lacking with only 1 set of DB weights per designated weight for a gym that might have 15 people working out in free weight room (the very least offer *3 sets of 12 lb dumbbells). 3. the men's locker rooms wooden benches and the three leather seats by the tv are stinky dirty and we know this bc every-time I placed my towel on the seats or the bench to change out of my clothes; this foul smell is left on the towel. The smell is so potent that it transfers to my gym bag like trash left out on the sun for several days and I find myself having to wash the towel and the gym bag just to get the homeless stench off. I have learned to avoid the men's locker room like a plague and instead use the lockers found across the gym to put my belongings.

Shaded seating and tables, the Noah's Ark kiddie pool with small slides and fountains, and of course the main large pool with diving boards and a water slide for big kids. There was something for everyone and a great idea for kids birthdays with a large amount of people! Clean restrooms are also a plus. It was closed today but there's a concession stand and during the week and they don't allow outside food and drinks (unless it's a privately booked party) so do not bring a cooler of snacks and drinks. Lots of fun for us and the kids, and a great location for a birthday party!

The floating gator has seen better days and is torn with exposed foam. The water temps weren't even cold during summer. At $8 per person they should reinvest in a deep clean and some maintenance STAT.
