Just had our quarterly spraying with STL Pest Control on 1/16/23 and it was excellent as always! Tech Mike came this time and he was very nice and thorough. We were worried about spraying in the nursery for a new baby soon and I was asking if I could show him where to spray and not. He reassured me as a grandparent and dad himself that he never sprays close to baby areas. All the techs have always been amazing and we hardly ever see any bugs except a few in traps. We found a few brown recluse spiders in spider traps we had set, and because I have a 1 year old, mama panic set in HARD. Found this company on Yelp and called them at 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon. They were here at my house at 8 AM the next morning. Truly professional, informative & knowledgeable exterminator came out. When he opened the door to the attic, he exclaims "here's a big, juicy one right here!" and immediately put down a sticky trap to capture them. CALL THESE FOLKS! StL Pest Control helped us with an ant problem. For two years I tried doing it on my own by googling ways to stop the infestation but nothing lasted. They kept coming back all over the kitchen and some in the living room. I am a bit of a clean fanatic so I didn't think it was that we left crumbs etc. all over the place. StL Pest Control came out within two days of my call. The technician was very polite, friendly and professional. He went above and beyond in what he did for us. He then came back for a follow up. No ants, no nothing ever came back. Also my niece discovered bats in her basement. I purposefully scheduled an appointment for first thing in the morning before we began moving furniture into our new home on moving day. After waiting 45 minutes and rearranging our schedules to make sure we were available for the appointment at the home we weren't even living in yet, I called to inquire where they were. The woman who answered not once offered an apology. Instead her excuse was that a last-minute appointment was booked before ours, which then delayed our appointment. We could not wait around any longer as we needed to leave to pick up our moving van. The woman rearranged for the man to arrive once we could return to the house. Clearly, there was no communication between their team. The man showed up while we were taking care of our other scheduled obligations and I informed him we would be able to make it back to the house in about 15-30 minutes. He responded that he could wait around 15 minutes for us to be there to let him. Mind you, we waited almost one hour and caused us to almost miss our next appointment! We had to rearrange our moving day and schedule with friends/family scheduled to help because of their delay. I return to the house to then receive a text saying he was running late and would be at least another 30 minutes if not longer at his current job before he could come. All the times we had rearranged what our plans were for the day to accommodate their lack of time management and communication and never once did the woman on the phone offer an apology or any kind of reimbursement/discount. We were still charged the full amount. One single, sincere apology would have gone a long way. The customer service was pretty awful. Our plan and day was inconvenienced multiple times to work around their needs driving back and forth to the house to then find they still couldn't commit to when they claimed they would be there. I would not recommend doing business with this company. UPDATE as of 9/13/23: I received a call from the owner who was very apologetic and wanted to resolve the issue. He was very kind and handled the matter appropriately. I have far more respect for businesses who handle their customer service like this and do the right thing like this gentleman did. He offered us a partial refund or a discount towards a future service. We are thankful he offered an apology and solution to the problem. Because of the way this was handled, I would be willing to offer this company a second chance in the future. Kudos to him for making things right and taking care of the customer in the end. Thank you!! We appreciate it. UPDATE as of 9/18/23: We received a handwritten letter and check in the mail apologizing for the incident. The owner was very kind and gracious about the matter. It really meant a lot. I've had some pretty awful customer service experiences before, but I have so much respect when businesses take ownership, genuinely apologize and offer an appropriate solution to the problem. I am all for second chances and understand mistakes happen. We are human at the end of the day. The owner really turned it around for me. Kudos! We appreciate it! read more

I have lived in a few different states, especially weather wise. Humid weather states are a nightmare for a bug hating (I'll clarify. If they stay in their space, we're golden, but if I see them in my space, we're mortal enemies) human, it's the worst kind of place to live. So after living in an apartment with a centipede problem, losing my dog, and the pandemic, I vowed that this elder millennial would buy a home, bc I most certainly wasn't going to pay for pest control on an apartment I didn't own and the management wouldn't take care of. (Not kidding, I bought a home so I could get a pest control agent- well and rescue two puppies, but pest control above all else) And almost immediately after moving in, I had a roach fall from a vent (being wise and from Houston originally, this is not uncommon, just unpleasant). So I googled STL locally owned pest control companies and found STL pest control at the top of the list with the best google reviews. I'm not one for research, I let my brother take care of that, but I am one for quick and convenient booking. STL pest control responded to my request online the next business day, and worked with me to set up our first appt. Since then, it's been so easy. They are very professional friendly no matter who I'm working with. They are efficient in my home and let me know exactly what's going on and what needs to happen. Their price is competitive and I'm glad to support local too. I don't mind paying for good service and to be able to see far fewer pests than I did last year in the apartment. Bc eff centipedes. I don't mind calling people, so this elder millennial is happy to give STL Pest control a call to book an appt, but if you are someone who does mind calling, this last time I was very busy at work and was able to arrange my entire appt thru txt. Plus, something else they do that I LOVE is they send me a picture of who is coming. This makes me know that this person should be entering my home. I feel very secure with STL Pest Control and I feel as tho if I ever had any issues whatsoever, they'd help me out. But so far, I have nothing but glowing remarks for this company. Had preventive treatment and a gopher taken care of. Technician was on time and professional. He took the time to explain everything which I really appreciated. Second time using them and while cleaning I found a few dead spiders; but hey keyword DEAD spiders. I also was late on my suggested re-spray so the fact I still found dead spiders was great. I went with this company since it had such great reviews. I explained thoroughly what my issue was I wanted a clear solution. Obviously its impossible to get rid of squirrels they are all over. I just didnt want them going inside my house. The person that went didnt help fix the problem instead he set traps outside to catch squirrels. Im out $400 and the issue remains. He was very informative about prevention and what to expect from the spray. Sprayed inside and out. So far so good on not seeing any new bugs! We have been using STL Pest Control at our house for years for seasonal bug spraying. Outside of a random insect here or there they keep the pests out of the house where they belong. They put little glue boxes around the basement so I can see if any bugs are getting in between services which is helpful. Have recommended neighbors use them as well. read more
