From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed with open arms. The warmth of the staff, the quality of the food, and the inviting ambiance made an immediate and lasting impression. It was good but the pandemic made me up my bartending skills so this was just average. I also ordered the periogi platter. 10 small sized perogi half farmers cheese,half potato and a giant sausage. Beverage menu out of date to what is currently on tap. If you mention cheese sauce covering over something, then it should, not burned to the bottom of the roll. A little pricey for what you get but still really tasty. The pierogi are completely filled with tender white meat chicken and have the perfect dough texture. Would I get these again, probably the smaller portion to share along with something else. Personally I saw the pierogi pizza come out for some people and the value of that is great! Came here tonight for my dads bday. We sat outside at their outdoor dining area. Everyone agreed it was very authentic food - my dad is polish and loved it. I really enjoyed the pierogis - fried very nicely, perfect with some onions and sour cream. The farmers cheese filled ones were my favorite. Kielbasa was very delicious. Generous portions. Super cool, yet chic and homey dining concept with an upscale Polish menu. At the first look it might seem as though Sto Lat is like any other upscale and modern restaurant. Upon closer inspection you will see there is so much more going on. A new take on dining because of the options available in one space. All eat in diners are able to sit in a gorgeous space and enjoy drinks from an ample cocktail and bar menu. You are able to order from the Sto Lat menu which is available from a QR code on the table, offerings include lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour. Sto Lat has higher end Polish classics and fusion apps, salads and entrees. You can also walk up and order from the Simply Pierogi food stall in the center of the restaurant. These options are more casual and are for dine in or to go. The focus is simple and customizable bowls, salads, hoagies and platters kind of like Polish Chipotle. Then at the other end there is a Chrusciki Bakery counter with Polish sweets, cakes, French macaroons and gelato. We happened to be in the BFLO Event Space for a Yelp Elite event. We were hungry after and decided to enjoy a lovely meal. We were not disappointed. We tried 716- ski pierogis as a app. These were delicious and would absolutely recommend them. They were bite sized pierogis, slightly larger than a tortellini, full of chicken, fried and tossed in hot sauce. Served with blue cheese and crudités. Crispy, hot, delicious and not too spicy. My significant other ordered the Krakow and he said it was to die for. Delicious melt in your mouth beef on a caraway topped pretzel bun. It was obvious he liked it because he said he was saving some for his lunch tomorrow but there was nothing left on his plate. Sadly I can't have too much gluten or potatoes so this menu was a little limiting for me. I was dying for more pierogis but was able to order the Chef Salad with chicken schnitzel. It was fresh, had plenty of toppings and the fresh dill sauce was a lovely addition. It was healthy and filling after my yoga event. The chicken schnitzel was thin and juicy and the coating was perfect and crispy. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The wall in front of the bar is actually a garage style door that opens up to a good sized outdoor patio. I went to Sto Lat Bar Friday with a friend in a wheelchair. The landlord didn't not have a clear enough path for her to get through and inside. I went in and the host and one of the owners came out and helped get her inside! The owner came over and let us know he emailed the landlord right away to try and get it cleaned up. Had a very nice Mother's Day brunch here for 5 people. Interesting open space with the attached Chrusciki Bakery. Bloody Mary's were flavorful and did not skimp on the alcohol. I had the tequila version and it didn't disappoint. Ordered the Shrimp and Grits with two poached eggs. Portion was generous and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their meal, even my 9 year old granddaughter. Service was very attentive but never overbearing. Would have been 5 stars except the cornbread was way too dry. Being in Buffalo with its strong Polish heritage, and being connected to Chrusciki bakery, you just know you're going to get authentic Polish cuisine and you do. Noisy! We could not have a conversation because the music was too loud. We moved our seats and asked to have the volume lowered with no result. The server told us there were no specials so I ordered the pork chop entree and only received a chop and a very small amount of tasteless garlic mashed potatoes for $29! Came here to celebrate a birthday (Sto Lat!) on a first-time visit. Some immediate reactions were: 1. Cute patio with flowers, fire tables, comfortable seating- adorable! 2. Inside ambiance is really nice; decor and lighting is great. 3. Super clean place. 4. Server was quick to say hi and take our order. 5. Nice wine list and per bottle prices are reasonable. We had the pierogi appetizer, the Taste of Poland entree and the Spicy Schnitzel which all were served quickly, had nice presentation, and tasted great. Maybe the Taste of Poland is a little greasy but it's the nature of the food! Because of the birthday, we got comped a slice of cake which was really thoughtful. Went today for lunch with five adults, 1 child. The host basically tossed the menu on the table instead of handing it to us. When no server came by a few from our party decided to go try the pierogi place .. it was challenging to order, challenging to find anyone that knew where a highchair was (maybe this isn't a family friendly place?) drinks had to be ordered straight from the bar. Food that was ordered NEVER CAME! No one checked on our table, no one asked if we needed anything, no food that was ordered ever came. When asking for a manager he finally addressed us and then asked "well what can I do" - umm excuse me? You're a manager.. you should atleast apologize? Find out what went wrong? At the very least those two things... being the outspoken people we are it finally came up could we be compensated by something from the bakery?! He finally said okay. Horrible customer service. The scenery was really nice. The bathrooms were clean but no where to change a child (so at 7 months pregnant I was crawling on the floor to change my other child's diaper). The Mother's Day Brunch Money Grab It is two days post Mother's Day and I am still mad about how awful the brunch was at Sto Lat. I honestly have had much better at an Embassy Suites or Holiday Inn. $60 per person got you scrambled eggs, bacon, some sausage thing, French toast, Belgium waffles and ham. They also included a salad and some mouse cups. To make things worse the food was quality was terrible. All of it. French toast and Belgium waffles were rock hard and cold. Bacon was under cooked, eggs were cold and dry. They had the chef hand out the pre sliced bacon because god for bid you take to much. None of the food was labeled and the overall presentation was awful. They just laid it out on a couple tables with table clothes. No dessert table, no decorations just a chafer dish on a table. You would think a Polish restaurant would maybe throw out some perogies. I feel like this was a big money grab for the restaurant based on what they charged and what was provided and borders on criminal in my eyes. I will never set foot in there again and will never recommend it to anyone. read more

So, this has been a long time coming.... We have been going to Stolat consistently for a couple years. We go because we enjoy the location and the Trivia. But........The wait staff and bar staff are great! The biggest problem consistently is the expediting of the food orders. I cannot tell you how many times we have placed our orders and waited well beyond what it should take and see others getting their orders when they clearly have placed their orders after ours. They need to get someone to run the pass in the kitchen since the kitchen staff does not know how to put orders out in the order of them being placed. We know several people that have stopped going there, the food when done right is good, but for what we are paying, things should be run more efficiently and food should be more consistent. We have noticed a drop in business and they have tried a new spin and are collaborating with other chefs for special menus to 'liven' things up. Great idea. But, the problem still continues with the kitchen not getting food out in order. We placed a simple order. Once again, we waited over an hour and saw many getting food with knowing that they placed their order well after we did!!! The manager apologized and then bought us some stale fried dough things from their bakery as a 'compensation'. They were awful. No thanks. Everyone's food was good, except for the mashed potatoes that came with my entree. (They were cold and not so mashed.) Our server did not open the wine at the table or pour it into the glasses. I stopped here last night with my best friend, after we attended a Yelp yoga event next door, at the Buffalo Event Center. We sat at the bar and split some food. They were 5/$10 or 10/$16. They are potato and cheddar pierogis served with house-made dill sauce and Buffalo aioli. They were great. I split them with my friend. My friend ordered the 716-ski bites. They were good. They're mini chicken pierogi tossed in medium/hot buffalo sauce. It's usually served with blue cheese but this week they also had a blazing buffalo sauce. Morgan was our server/bartender. She was great!! Another bartender/server was helpful with questions I had about what Sto Lat used to be (a Sears Warehouse) and what the goal is for the mall area (senior housing.) this bar/restaurant has live music every Wednesday, Thursday and Sundays too!
