4/5 for brunch at Sto Lat! Service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and she helped us with menu options and checked on a few accommodations that we requested which was really great. They had a DJ playing music which was enjoyable but it did make it a bit loud for trying to talk with our party, but overall it was still fun. Food was great! They have a few polish options and some other dishes that are more traditional breakfast options like the breakfast pizza or steak and eggs. The patio is really cute and it was too cold to sit out there today but I would come back and try to done outside. 4/5 overall! read more

Imagine waiting 45 minutes for food, and during that time you notice that almost every time the waitress delivered food to other tables, that she was being sent back to the kitchen. In several instances, food was being brought out for only some people at a time for a few tables. Then by the time mine comes (and I'm starving btw), it's almost completely different than what was described on the menu, and even worse, the waitress didn't realize?! I ordered the Sto lat omelette because I'm Polish and love the flavor combinations of farmers cheese, sour cream and dill. Here's how the menu described it: "smoked kielbasa, bacon, farmers cheese, tomato, caramelized onion, mushroom sauce, sour cream, dill" What I actually got was an omelette with cheddar instead of farmers cheese, and no sour cream or dill. The added home fries and ketchup were a nice surprise though. When I made the waitress aware that this seems to be a different omelette than described on the menu, she said "there's only one omelette on the menu". I pointed out the swapped cheese and missing ingredients, and she asked if I wanted the kitchen to remake it, or just bring me the missing items. I said I'd be fine with being brought the missing items. So they brought me out a dill sauce (?), and sour cream (no farmers cheese). Then charged us full price, no apology. While I enjoyed the different omelette they brought, I was disappointed to miss out on the Polish flavors I was looking forward to. While the atmosphere is cool and maybe a drink at the bar would be fine, I absolutely will never come back for food. read more

We went here for Clam night & overall sadly had a disappointing time. It started when we walked in the door. We had made a reservation for a regular table, not a high top. We were told our reservation did not show that. They found us a table out of range seeing the band. A couple sitting near us had the same problem. They were told by the owner that the information doesn't carry over to them. So why ask? I knew it was clam night with a limited menu but wasn't aware that none of the regular Polish food wouldn't be available, only 3 Flatbread and a chip flight. I ordered steamed clams & my husband ordered raw. We also ordered a shrimp Alfredo Flatbread. My clams had a few that were gritty, his were ok. The Flatbread was really good. We would have ordered a 2nd but they actually ran out. It was barely 7:00. I had to flag someone down to get more water since it was never offered. The band was really good! This is an update to my last review. This visit was not so good. I reserved through the restaurant's own reservation system on their website (RESY.COM). At the time of reserving they asked the standard questions such as name, phone number, number of people, date and time. They also asked what type of table I wanted to reserve. The choices were a "standard regular table" or a "high top table". Because of mobility issues I have, I specifically reserved "standard table". Well, that was a waste of my time and energy. We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time and were immediately escorted to a "High Top Table" which I cannot sit at. I told them that "I specifically reserved a Standard Table for a reason". I was told that they only have High Tops available because all the open standard tables were reserved. I said that I reserved a standard table and was told they had no proof I did that. We were led to an out of the way table that had an obstrudted view of the entertainment. Just wrong on all accounts and it ruined my wifes birthday celebration. If their problem was with their reservation system then they should dump it. The only reason I am giving 2 Stars is for the food. However, service was really bad. Dirty dishes just kept pileing up on our table and forget about them offering water glass refills, didn't happen. It was like we were at a table that no one cared about servicing. read more

Came for brunch. Atmosphere is good. Service was ok. Ordered the hot chicken and waffles. It was good, once it came. No exaggerating it was at least 45 minutes between ordering and the food coming. My wife's omelette was missing the sour cream and dill. The two tables I could see from where I was sitting also had long waits to get the food. Wait staff was fairly attentive (although the waitress for the table behind us checked on them more often than our waitress checked on us) so I think the delay was purely a kitchen problem. They had a few full tables but weren't packed so the delays weren't understandable. read more

Sto Lat Bar&restaurant and Chrusiki bakery share one big room in the Eastern Hill mall. We visited the bar for a cancer fundraiser as part of colon cancer awareness month. There were a few tables where things were sold (like Buffalo ornaments), gift card and bottle pulls. There was a buffet with pretzel sticks and mustard sauce, Caprese sticks and stuffed mushrooms. Went here one night during the week to watch a basketball game at the bar. Was blown away by how nice this restaurant is. I sat at the bar and ordered some hot buffalo wings. Cody was courteous, friendly and took my order immediately. As a resident of Buffalo I have eaten wings all over the city and these are by far the best I have tasted. Cooked to perfection. I checked the menu and was impressed with the fine dining options as well. Pricing was very reasonable. Bonus, they have a bakery attached and the desserts are out of this world. Really enjoyed going for brunch. Making reservations was very easy through their website (takes you to a 3rd party to complete) but no issues when we arrived. The waitress quickly came over and took drink orders for us while we waited for others to arrive. She also answered a lot of questions we had on the menu since it was our first time there. We ordered a bunch of things and shared because there were so many good things on the menu. My favorite was the pierogi breakfast bowl, the pierogi were very good but I wish they would put more egg on it. We substituted polish sausage for the chorizo and that was a great decision because it was so good! The breakfast pizza was nothing special and was very small for the price. The golabki egg rolls were strange to me especially with the Thai dipping sauce.so I would not recommend those. Modern Polish food with an American twist, need I say more? The dining space is beautiful and I love that you can walk over to the Chrusciki Bakery area and drool over their desserts while you wait for your meal. (Of course I had to buy something to take home and they were so kind to keep it refrigerated until we were done eating). I could not say "no" to the potato pancake burger. I'm a big fan of a soft, slightly sweet burger bun; however, a "bun" made with crispy, perfectly salted potato pancakes is pretty much unbeatable. The rich taste of the caramelized onions and creamy cheese took the burger to the next level. Everyone enjoyed their meals. And bonus, on Tuesdays, kids eat free with purchase of adult meal. Service was a bit slow, so I'm glad we had the dessert case and the hallway walk to the bathroom to distract us. Overall, I hope to come back to try more of their dishes. Finally got around to eating here and I am sorry I waited so long! After a long shift working in the cold elements, I really enjoyed this environment. Staff was courteous and professional. It was dark out, and the lighting was perfectly dim for that relaxed, cozy feel. There were only high top tables available at the time, which usually I find incredibly uncomfortable, but not here! Their chairs were perfectly comfortable and I was able to relax in it. The menu has good mix of polish and American cuisine and I would say anyone could find something they like (I personally could eat pretty much anything on the menu!) My friend ordered the Golabki Eggrolls, which are are cut into 4 generous portions to make them shareable. I had a piece and reallllyyy enjoyed it with the accompanying sweet chili sauce! I personally ordered the fish fry (available everyday it's open, not just Fridays) and you can choose housecut fries or mac and cheese; I chose the latter. It also comes with coleslaw but unless slaw is on pulled pork sandwich or something along those lines, I don't eat it so I can't speak to that as I asked for it not to be served to me (I don't like food waste). The mac was like a cellentani or cavatappi .. it was prepared how I like it - not dry per se, but I hate a soupy macaroni and cheese. This was not the soupy type - yay! The fish was good as well. For portions, let's just say I came in starving, but still came home with left overs. I look forward to coming in again and trying another dish! In Polish "sto lat" means "one hundred years". The song "Sto lat" is sung on various occasions, especially for birthdays. "Sto lat" and "na zdrowie" (to health) are equivalent to 'cheers' in the US. I finally decided to try the Sto Lat Bar on the occasion of a fundraising event taking place at their banquet facility. The two bars were busy, plus free samples of tequila, brandy and whiskey were flying around. It was also an evening with live music in the dining area, so maybe that's why the kitchen couldn't stand the strain. The 'Gołąbki Egg Rolls' were edible. Unfortunately, someone went wild with the amount of black pepper. My friend started coughing because it was so overwhelming. We tasted only the black pepper. It was served with some kind of sweet chili sauce which completely didn't match or compliment the food. The 'Bigos Over Mashed Potatoes', was the worst bigos (hunter's stew) I've ever tried. It had a 'flat' taste and was too sour with way too much tomato product. With the overly buttery, super soft mashed potatoes, it was just unpleasant mush. I'm not a Simply Pierogi brand fan either. The 'Taste of Poland' section on the menu should have been called 'Teasing People Who Think They'll Taste Traditional Polish Dishes'. "The Schnitz" was salty and overdone. Also, the sandwich did not match the description on the menu. It was served with some yellow cheese instead of mozzarella and with no sign of blue cheese. I got the impression that this evening was not the best for trying Sto Lat Bar for the first time. We skipped the dessert, just not to make our experience even more disappointing. Our server didn't introduce us to any specials, and her patience with us ran out pretty quickly. Anyway, I would try Sto Lat Bar again with a totally different approach. It's a beautiful, clean restaurant, and I liked the fact they have Żywiec on tap. The live music was good, and luckily our table was far away from the stage. We had lots of fun. I've been looking to try this place for quite some time and finally got the chance for brunch! I ordered the Polska benny and it was so so good! The sausage was amazing and the potatoes and sauce were excellent too! Service was on the slower side but they were pretty busy and apparently understaffed. The whole place was very pretty and bright inside with nice decorations and set up. The bakery inside was great as well selling lots of breads and other goodies! Very strange service experience. A resolved misunderstanding with the server turned into a power move by the manager. We ordered a half salad but got a full salad. The server said to she will just charge us for the half salad but the manager made a point to come over and take away the full salad to replace it, to come back a few minutes later the same salad just scraped onto a smaller plate (and whatever didn't fit was prob thrown out). When the manager came back we asked why not just let her have the full salad as it was a misunderstanding and she said we can't do that. Her disposition was a bit combative and when confronted with the fact that we will not be coming back, she said "well I was going to take a few drinks off your bill". I checked out this spot for brunch, and it was a great vibe. The music was playing, there was a nice crowd and the waitresses were very helpful. The menu was pretty straightforward, but the selections were a bit limited for me. It seemed like EVERYTHING included eggs, and I am not an egg eater. I opted for the brunch burger WITHOUT THE EGG. It came with home fries. The waitress was sure to advise us if we wanted dessert. We would have to walk over and make a purchase. The bakery is inside the restaurant, but there is no service for purchase. It is self-service. They also have a bottomless mimosa option. We enjoyed a couple of those as well. The food was pretty good. Service was fairly quick for the crowd that was present. The restaurant is neat and clean. The woman's bathroom was immaculate. This was our second time here and it just wasn't pleasant. Our food took almost an hour to come out and they weren't terribly busy . I ordered the sto last salad which was good, but added a piece of grilled chicken which was so thin and the size of my palm and tasted like it was frozen 5 minutes earlier. It came out on the side of the salad bowl uncut and I needed a steak knife to cut it it was so dry. For $8 it was terrible. My son didn't like his duck pizza special and barely touched it, we all tasted it and it was disgusting. The crust tasted store bought and the duck had an off taste. The chicken on the pesto melt was also gross, but the rest of the sandwich and the fries were fine. My husband enjoyed his pierogi bowl, simply pierogi is back in the same location and they've always had great food. Our waitress was inattentive and we had to even go to the bar to get another drink. Wow. This brunch was the best I've had in a while. Our book club met here on a Sunday afternoon and I was excited because it's been open for a while and I've never been. I ordered the breakfast pierogi bowl and it was amazing. Love the chorizo and the pierogis and there were a ton of eggs. Ended up taking half home. The restaurant was adorable with a huge bar and the bakery at the other end. Very cool space. Of course I left with an almond ring from the bakery...probably the best one I've ever tasted. Beautiful space with high ceilings, a few tables and plenty of seats at the bar. I had a big breakfast earlier in the day, but I indulged in truffle parmesan fries with my After Hours, a light bourbon based cocktail with cointreau, prosecco, lime, and honey. The fries were excellent. Sometimes truffle fries can be a bit much, but they didn't overdo it, and the dill sauce brightened the dish. The bartender even asked if I wanted more sauce when I was boxing up my leftovers. Usually I have to ask. Service is excellent. I'll be back to try more food and drinks. read more

The FYRE Fest of Mother's Day Brunch.... Rough experience today. The Mother's Day brunch was not as advertised and was overall a massive disappointment. Prepaid to boot... Salad dressings (actually none of the food was labeled) not labeled or on ice (nothing was...) . Person in my party had an allergy so this was no bueno. Charcuterie board advertised but not provided. Empty bins where food was supposed to be (You just caught us at a bad time....). Carving station was a guy in a chefs coat cutting off pieces of BJ's level ham into a warming dish periodically not slice by slice to order. Cardboard waffles and French toast. Couple of blueberries and strawberries (guess that was the "fruit bar?"). Not sure about the sausage didn't eat it (see picture). Tried to speak to someone to get things fixed... first told they were understaffed by a poor young manager who I never saw again... then someone (very nice lady in white suit coat who was honestly the only good thing going for this place today...true gem)... tried to offer me some lattes and pastries to make up for it. My experience was toast at this point. I finally said I was doing a charge back and Andrew the owner finally came out. Belittled me and called me dramatic (among other things I don't wish to revisit... needless to say I was in tears on the way home...). Offered to comp three of the 5 brunches but really that wasn't adequate. He kept repeating that I was on camera and that I (and members of my party) ate. It's Mother's Day and I'm with my family- we didn't have a lot of choice. The issue was the misrepresentation of the experience from the jump. This was a 60.00 a head prepaid brunch not a 6.99 downtown Las Vegas special. Those are run better honestly.... ------ Not worth fighting with them based on the below response. Clearly I already went to the top and the handling was... well.. less than cordial. I did not enjoy the food, the experience ,or anything about it this horrific event. We were also only there for just over an hour not hours as stated below...business manager dude below is mistaken. I spent the entire hour complaining about the situation... took that long to get Andrew the owner... it's on the cameras :) This honestly could've been fixed by saying, hey... wanna come to the main dining room and try out our regular menu? Well, my expectations weren't quite met here. With a Polish name, I was expecting there to be a lot more Polish options on the menu. There was only a small section and everything was a la carte; no platter combo. Though I was surprised by the lack of Polish food options, it was still a good experience overall. When we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff members and promptly taken to be seated. Our reservation was at 545, so it was during happy hour, which I believe was 4-6. We ordered a few items off the happy hour app menu including 716ski bites (mini pierogi with buffalo sauce), soft pretzel sticks and golabki egg rolls. My brother loved the golabki egg rolls and stated he could've just gotten those for his meal. The 716ski bites were good. The pretzels were warm and soft and approved by our resident soft pretzel expert, my dad. For entrees, we all ordered Polish food items including sausage, golabki, potato & cheese pierogi and potato pancakes. Everything was decent except the potato pancakes; they were SO greasy I couldn't even finish half of one and they left a puddle of grease on their serving dish. We would come back for the golabki egg rolls and to possibly try other things on the menu. We would not visit again for the purposes of having a Polish dinner. read more

I'm a city dweller, but my office is located close to Sto Lat. I didn't feel like cooking and was having a bad day, so I stopped in for a cocktail and eventually dinner. I ended up staying for hours enjoying conversations with bartenders Carlyn and "Mr. Pete." Both are delightful and great conversationalists, yet not intrusive. Carlyn concocted a custom honey lavender martini for me, which I hope is added to the menu. It was vodka-based with a lavender syrup, fresh sage leaves, and magic. It was divine! Pete informed me that the dinner menu was recently updated and recommended the pork chop. This is not hyperbole-- it was the best pork chop I've ever eaten in my entire life. It was perfectly seasoned, bone-in, and served on a light glaze of house-made BBQ sauce that complements the tender meat so well. I was disappointed to finish it, so I did something I've never done before-- I ordered another one! It was that fantastic. At 5:30 live music began. That is usually my cue to leave, but the volume was perfect. The performer was Ade Adu playing acoustic '90's music that took me back to college. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My visit to Sto Lat lifted my spirits on a hard day, and reminded me to be extra grateful for the restaurant and hospitality industry following the hardships experienced during the pandemic. It even taught the city snob in me to realize there are some great restaurants in the 'burbs. Sto Lat is absolutely one of the greats. I will go back for sure. Multiple times. read more

I have been wanting to try Sto Lat bar for awhile now as I have been to Simply Perogi and the bakery that are in the same location. Sto Lat boasts being a European / Polish lounge. We were at the mall and decided to give Sto Lat a try. The vibe inside is modern with plenty of seating and a cool bar. Although we didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night, my husband and I were promptly seated. We started with the monte cristo and perogi appetizers and we were pleasantly pleased with both! The French toast on the monte crisp was from the bakery next door which was a near touch. For drinks I tried the sangria - not the most flavorful sangria I've ever had and with way too much ice, it was a bit watered down. I did want to try another drink or beer but unfortunately I wasn't successful in trying to flag down our server to order another drink after our entrees were brought over. For the entrees I got the Spicy Schnitzel sandwich and my date the Polish sampler. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste of everything! I've been wanting to stop into Sto Lat since they opened, but never had the opportunity until yesterday. I started with the shades of blue (Sweet Riesling) and continued to order the Krak and the truffle Parmesan fries (see pics of menu for description). Food was out in about 25/30 minutes. The roast beef from the Krak was really dry, and the fries were room temp. I was too hungry to wait for the waitress to swing back around so I started to eat. When the waitress did swing back around, I asked for a side of mayo and was advised that there was an additional charge of $1 for it. I politely declined and asked for a to go box. I really do love supporting local and obviously Sto Lat is doing something right, or they wouldn't be around. I'd like to give them another try in the near future. read more

We had just visited the van Gogh exhibit and looked over to see this wonderful beacon of bakery delight! This is definitely Buffalo Bills country. Most everyone in the restaurant Had some sort of Buffalo Bills gear on. We were happily pleased with the selection of items. Polish food isn't usually something I crave when I'm looking for a place to eat out (having grown up in an extremely Polish neighborhood, eating Polish food cooked by my mama everyday at home). But the reviews at Sto Lat caught my eye, and after looking at the menu I had to give it a try. They have all the typical traditional fare, as well as modernized interpretations of Polish dishes--which is what I was interested in. A pączki burger, buffalo chicken pierogi, or pierogi mac and cheese isn't something I'd ever seen at a Polish restaurant before. I went with the pierogi pizza. It combined the traditional Polish dumpling with the quintessential American food. Pierogi halves and kapusta (stewed cabbage) topped a perfectly crispy pizza. It is personal pizza size, but very filling and definitely shareable. My party also ordered traditional dishes (potato & cheese pierogi and the "Taste of Poland" sampler)--both tasted great as well. For drinks, Sto Lat has a good selection of imported Polish beer and local drafts. The flight is a good way to sample 4 local beers for only $10. The restaurant space is very nice and spacious. Definitely recommend Sto Lat as a place to enjoy a nice Polish dinner and some drinks, whether you're looking for traditional or modern. read more

This place is what keeps the eastern hills mall alive. The service from our server Alyssa was incredible. Our dinner was great. I highly recommend: 1- placek monte Cristo sliders...which are very different/ incredible. I will start using placek as sandwich bread at home since I have eaten these sliders 2- the pork chop. Perfectly cooked/ moist. Definitely the best pork chop that I have tried from a restaurant 3- any pierogi platter is delicious The cocktail list/wine list is a little small. My grandmothers wanted a wine on the sweeter side which wasn't offered but the bartender was able to make a basic sangria on the spot for them. They do offer polish beers and polish spirits. The blackberry old fashioned was fresh tasting but could've been a little sweeter for my taste. Sto Lat has very quickly become one of my top 5 restaurants in the WNY area. Everything I've eaten from there has been top notch! It's a modern twist on polish food. Their fried perogi dippers are to die for. Dunk those babies into their homemade dill dip and you'll never look back. Their cocktails are also some of the best I've had. The refresher is my favorite, it tastes just like an alcoholic pink drink from Starbucks. They have brunch on Sundays where you can also get bottomless mimosas for 1.5 hours for $20 & they have many other beers and wine on tap. Seriously, if you like polish food - go here. They have schnitzel and waffles, placek french toast, and a bunch of other really fun combinations. You will not be disappointed! read more

Sto Lat Bar completely surprised me -- much bigger than expected with a stylish, welcoming vibe. The food was amazing (and somehow kept getting better), and the service was top-notch. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to. I would recommend to everyone. read more

My inaugural visit left much to be desired, in terms of the food & service. I ordered from Sto Lat. The salad was simple greens, certainly not worth $6. The grilled chicken sandwich, when served per the menu description, is to have melted cheddar cheese, mushrooms, pickles and onions. Apparently when you ask for no bun, you're also losing the pickles and onions. I enjoyed my Polish beer; however, I would have enjoyed a second one, had a staff person checked on our dining experience instead of dropping off the food and not returning until we had to ask for the check. The food also took quite a bit of time to arrive from the time we ordered. The female staff were cold and impersonal. Cody answered our questions, was attentive, polite, and professional. Music played somewhat loudly throughout the dining space, increasing the conversations from table to table and the overall volume of the space. The photographs surrounding the restaurant and bar were taken in Poland, as confirmed by my dining companion. I hope to review the dinner menu and have a better food experience. read more
