I am glad that the 99 Speedway is back in operation here in Stockton. It is asset to our town to have a local NASCAR track like this. It's great family entertainment. Come out and enjoy some great races. Last race for this season is October 21st, I believe... but they will be back next spring! "Mini-cups": 1/2 scale cars, one cylinder 4 stroke air-cooled Honda engines...so cool! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/TDSRt6hH09CFht5ag0-_Lw?userid=WR6033peFiviFPzAV0yhJg#7EcHsDOVBvZxo-rGK2IAEQ Note to management: *Please replace the burned-out bulbs in your lap board. *What's up advertising the main event as 199 laps and only having 150? *It would be helpful if the announcer could tell us a little bit about the cars in each class i.e. number of cylinders, some specifications, air cooled or water-cooled...not everybody is a die-hard NASCAR fan... *Prizes and giveaways? I didn't see any prizes and giveaways

If you come here for the Rusty Wallace experience it is not worth the money. Save your money!

We expected to come to a track yet were actually greeted by some strange set up in a parking lot which was really weird and somewhat disappointing. The event is held one weekend each month and you need to book in advance, when you arrive on the day basically you just wait in line until it's your turn. There is a big turnout and my Husband got to drive about 40 minutes after his scheduled time. You're out with one of the instructed divers for the entire of the laps with the first one you're not allowed to go over a certain speed just to make sure you know what you're doing then they encourage you to ''open it up'' as much as you can throughout the laps, which is fun yet somewhat limited to do the size restrictions of the track itself which is marked out by cones. Despite the slight disappointment my Husband still had a great time, after weeks of working insane hours it was nice to see him come away with a smile and knowing that he finally got to something he had wanted to for so long. Aside from the Lamborghini Gallardo they also have a Porsche 911 and Ferrari.

This is my first season attending races here and although I can't always read the numbers on the cars (I read that in another review saying that the track manager should get their .... together - cmon, lets be real - if you come here all the time, you know paint schemes and if you don't - you're not here for that junk, you're here for the love of racing). That being said, I am bummed that the first week I came the nachos were perfect (no jalapeño cheese - yeah, I'm a wuss). However, every other week I've come - jalapeño cheese ... no nachos for this girl. Popcorn is popcorn ... sometimes salty, sometimes bland and sometimes perfect - don't complain, they're volunteers and you still like it either way . Fabulous Bob ... what more can you say about the speedways flagman. If you haven't seen someone launch a lollipop up a flight of bleachers - stop by. I've watched this speedway excite adults and enthrall children. I've seen racers support and intimidate each other. All-in-all, I've helped run a speedway (in its growing pain state) and I've been a spectator. The loyalty from this speedways fans, the racers fans, and the fans of racing as a whole collect here every Saturday during the annual season and the amount of smiles and cheers coming from these bleachers - I'd say that hands down, if this place disappoints you - then you don't know or don't remember the roots of racing. That being said, if that's where your heads at please don't come ruin these fans night - stay in your perfectly clean non-dirt environment and leave us to our joy. This place is by no means perfect, but there's is no track anywhere ever that is. Thank you racers - track staff/volunteers and fans that make these days/nights something to remember. If you happen to stop by after reading this - let the sweet lady in the booth know that the girl riding the motorcycle that gives exact change for tickets talked you into it. It won't get you anything special, but I'm sure she'll share with me and make my night better.

I had no idea it was only 6 rides. I thought it was unlimited rides for 5 hours. It goes fast! definitely runs out before 5 hours, so not sure why it says 5 hours. $38 It is still the only way to go as most of the bigger attractions are either : $10 or $12 per ride and only last 5-7 minutes long:( and.. there is NOT enough shade for adults that are bystanders. But if you want to blow through $76 in about 1 hour to join them on all 6 rides.. you can do that too. also, no one told us at purchase point that it was only 6 rides AND that if you go on water ride... you can not go on any other rides wet. period. whaaat?? Thank goodness I had an extra pair of clothes in car for our sleepover. Or there would have been a strong request to return the pass for another day. There is zero shade by bumper boats. Please drill a hole in the tables for an umbrella. Please provide shade for your customers. I thought I would have a stroke in the duration of the 5 minute bumper boat ride. lol. I would seriously consider a monthly subscription for unlimited rides if they had one. Also, be prepared to stand outside in the sun while you fill out the waiver (at the entrance) with your phone. Sooo annoying. and must be done EVERY TIME you go. There is always one of the attr as cations closed for repair for months now. It's a virtual game. Not sure what it is because it's always closed. they take credit cards. So that's good. no charge.

David Ray and his staff and coaches seem to have an almost fanatical focus on their customers (me and the other drivers who come to the track days) and making sure we have a great experience. They have in-car coaches any time I want one (unlike the other outfits). They have fewer cars on the track in each of the run groups (unlike the other outfits). I LOVE the emphasis they put on having fun and being safe - they repeat it all the time and they seem to really mean it. Every time I come home from a HOD track day I'm happy and exhilarated. A couple of other things - it's fun and very interesting and informative to socialize with the staff and the other customers about cars and driving. You learn A LOT every time you go out with HOD. Helpful resources always seem to be available if you need them - whenever I want to talk to a coach or David about my car or the track or driving or whatever, they spend the time it takes to get you what you want to know. I think therefore, that HOD provides the most fun and the best learning opportunity available. If you are focused on improving your high-performance driving skills and abilities - in my opinion, this is the best outfit to help you do it. And if you just want to drive and not take advantage of any of these other things, you can do that too. I love being able to go out with these guys and gals in a safe environment and drive as fast as I want to and not get a speeding ticket!

I'm not sure if it is just the Texas region or if this happens everywhere but it has caused me some frustration, especially when I organize the trip with a few other people and I have to cancel on them a few times in a row.
