But I had found out that the manager, who was always there happened to be on vacation. The week we left our dogs and whatever staff was there. Did not do what they are supposed to do to take care of my dog at the time. But in 2024, we dropped our dogs off and the manager, and another long time the staff member was there and they took excellent care of our 2 dogs as they normally had done in the past several years. Except for that one year when the manager was gone. Her and her son were great.I know the son left and went to another vet office. I feel bad because I cannot remember their names as I write this post. But the regular clientele would know who i'm talking about in this review Anyway, I'm going to miss them. I was sad to find out that the veterinarian, who owned the hotel and the vet office retired. And sold everything to the city of stockton. I hope that the staff does read this post and know that they are going to be dearly missed by us.And i'm sure many others

The cost was almost half of that here at Venetian! I could not trust them more and highly highly recommend them for your pets!

We were quoted $5,000-$6,000, and informed the procedure would be performed by a non-board-certified veterinarian, as a board-certified surgeon would cost significantly more. After consulting with our dog trainer, we were strongly encouraged to seek a second opinion. We did so with the veterinarian we trust and use for both of our Belgian Malinois. That veterinarian explained that dogs under 10 pounds which our dog is (6 lbs) can very often be treated successfully without surgery. This non-surgical option was never discussed or presented to us by the first clinic, which was disappointing and concerning. Based on this experience, we will not be returning and I strongly recommend getting a second opinion after you see this Vet.

My REGULAR VET's office closes at 5:30 on Fridays. I drove over there and they were closed and I felt angry. I called the office and the voice mail said the close at 5:30. I was angry because I was so worried and felt they should have left a voice message indicating they were closed. I knew about WALKER VETERINARY HOSPITAL from some friends of mine. They've always had good results there so I drove over there at 3:45. I had an no appointment, but they were very, very nice and said we'll take care of you and kitty. A very kind and helpful vet tech, Janelle, took me back to the room. She was very knowledgeable, she asked me questions and I explained my kitty symptoms. My cat really liked her. She was super gentle. The veterinarian came and examined my kitty and asked me all sorts of questions, Janelle came back with a list of tests. She explained each of the tests again and costs. There were a few I didn't think necessary at this point because I wanted to see what the results of the bloodwork would be, and I felt no pressure or judgment about my decision. My cat was still eating and drinking normally. When I was done, Janelle came back and walked me out to the front and gave me some more information. I have to say during my whole experience with Janelle , she was very lighthearted and friendly. Everyone I came in contact with at the office was friendly and I felt confident in Walker Vet's expertise. Debbie

Our old Vet's office in Turlock changed ownership and they no longer had any of our dog's medical records, so we decided to just start over with a new vet. We found Dr Raj's reviews and decided to give him a try. We had a positive experience at this Vet's office. They keep a clean office, there is plenty of room in the waiting area to keep pets a safe distance from each other, and the staff was very professional in their handling of us. Dr Raj took the time to educate us about a few things, which I really appreciated. He examined our dog, who was scared and anxious about being at the Vet's office, with a very gentle hand and I could tell that he won her trust. The Vet's assistant was also very kind and informative, and I felt that she really took the time to connect with our dog as well. Dr Raj came up with a plan of action, and our dog is already showing signs of improvement in response to the treatment plan that we are faithfully following. I think we found our new Vet.

I assumed he was just putting on a few pounds... he wasn't acting any different at all, seemed healthy and happy. I called my local vet to have him checked out (in Arnold), but they wouldn't see him. They said I'd need to take him to a specialty surgical hospital in Modesto, Stockton, or Sacramento. I ended up calling Hardin Animal Hospital in Stockton, as they would see him that day. Well... they did blood work and x-rays and determined that poor Cosmo had a HUGE tumor in his abdomen. They couldn't do the surgery in Stockton, but sent me to a facility in Dublin (I chose Dublin because I have family there that I can stay with). The Dublin facility (Vets for Pets) did the surgery that day. They called me in the early evening to give me a status update. It turned out that the doctor that treated Cosmo in Stockton had driven all the way to Dublin to perform the surgery himself! I was blown away! Dr. Rajbir Grewal is associated with the Dublin facility as well as the one in Stockton. The tumor they removed from Cosmo weighed NINE POUNDS! It was as big as a bowling ball! Cosmo received amazing care from Dr. Grewal and the staffs at both facilities. They called MULTIPLE times to follow up with me over the holiday weekend. I can't thank them enough for the effort they put into treating my dog. Cosmo seems to be doing very well. He doesn't seem to have any pain or even issues with his scar... amazing. I highly recommend both Hardin Animal Hospital and Vets for Pets to anyone who needs competent and caring vet services. I've never been so impressed or so grateful. These are wonderful people who really care about the animals they treat.

I am deeply disappointed by the level of professionalism demonstrated by the front desk staff…read moreduring my recent interaction regarding my dog's flea medication. What should have been a routine and straightforward request was instead met with dismissiveness, poor communication, and an unprofessional demeanor that fell well below acceptable standards of customer service. The staff's inability--or unwillingness--to provide clear, courteous assistance reflected a concerning lack of accountability and empathy toward a client seeking essential care for their pet. Their tone was unnecessarily abrasive, and their conduct conveyed impatience rather than the professionalism one would reasonably expect in a veterinary or pet care setting. Such behavior undermines trust and raises serious concerns about the organization's commitment to client relations and animal welfare. Professionalism is not limited to technical competence alone; it also encompasses respectful communication, attentiveness, and a willingness to assist. Unfortunately, this experience was marked by a stark absence of these qualities. I strongly encourage management to address this matter promptly through staff training and oversight, as interactions of this nature can significantly impact a client's confidence in the practice.

The woman who answered the phone didn't have amazing customer service but I was able to make a appointment and I trust my regular vet. The receptionist offered me 10:15 for the following day, which I wrote down and then at the end of the call confirmed 10:15. Later in the afternoon I received a text that I had an appointment at 10 am on the following day. 15 minutes may not seem like a big deal, but for someone like me who respects people's time, especially my own, it was frustrating. I left extra early because I did have some concerns and we arrived around 9:45 a.m. The parking lot was empty so we walked out dog around to let her potty before going in. The lobby is good sized with a decent amount of seating and there is a restroom for use. Check in and new patient registration was simple and we were seen within a reasonable time. I got the same feeling from the vet as I did from the receptionist, which wasn't great. There was no introduction or explanation. I only know what his name is now because it is listed on the receipt they emailed me. He checked her ears and mouth and immediately said she needed a dental cleaning. I explained she has them annually at our regular dentist and he stated "sometimes they need them more often". They have fliers for their dental cleanings on the wall and it just sort of felt like an immediate sales pitch, which I didn't like. Then, he grabbed her and turned her over without advising he was going to that, which made both my dog and I a bit uncomfortable and I ended up holding her so she would be calm. He offered to run tests but I explained again the two things we needed and he said he would give me a quote anyway and left the room. When the Veterinarian's Assistant came in, I had her remove the testing from the estimate and ok'd the things we did need. I am going to share the cost with you because I think it's helpful. We were charged: $59 for the exam, $35 for Bordetella, $98 for Cytopoint, and $12 for a medical waste fee. Our bill came to $204, however my credit card was charged $206.04. I was advised when I went to pay that there would be a 1% charge to use my credit card. I did not see a sign but the staff did tell me when I gave them my card just before I paid. I was fine with that and understand this is a common practice but again, with my time and money I am a meticulous person. I am always early and I save all receipts and log every transaction I make. I noticed later my receipt said $204 but my card was charged $$206.04. I contacted their office and asked for an updated receipt reflecting the charge and they replied "The credit card terminal charges 1% of the transaction amount." California law requires that the receipt accurately reflect the amount charged. If the surcharge isn't itemized, then the receipt is misleading and it looks like you were overcharged compared to the paperwork you were given. By law, businesses must give customers a truthful record of the transaction. Also, for comparison, our vet charges $44 for an office visit, $77 for Cytopoint and $1 for the Environmental Disposal Fee so their prices were definitely higher overall than what I typically pay. Ultimately my dog got what I brought her for but I do not know if I would choose to come to this office again.
