    Brisket tacos

Okay stolen saddle I see you. The menu has looked pretty good here so on game day I finally decided to try. I got the brisket tacos which were pretty good! I'd def eat here again. The nachos looks like a huge beautiful nacho pile so maybe that's my next go to.

Checked out saddle up To catch the Bears game. Our bartender Julia provided great customer service and our drinks were tasty and so were the bbq tenders . If you are looking to catch the any games and looking for a country-like vibe, definitely a nice go to.

Wow the pizza was amazing!!! I haven't loved everything on the menu but the crust and flavor was fantastic!!! And great service from Ben!

Went here last night for holiday drinks after Christkindlemarket. The first floor was packed, so went to the second floor bar and stood around until some seats opened up. Great choice of holiday drinks. The one I enjoyed the most was their spiked hot chocolate in their souvenir holiday mug. The server dressed in all red was great and very sweet. Before we left, she swapped out my mug for a clean one to take home. We checked out the third floor, but it was packed with a younger crowd. Oh, and the place was beautifully decorated for Christmas!

We got outdoor indoor seating. There's TV screens everywhere, the Cubs are in the playoffs. The alcohol is super strong. We had the sampler platter of chicken wings, tenders, onion rings, tortillas chips served piping hot. Life is great. Review is slightly skewed since the cubs just scored a 3 run homer on the first inning

Came here with some friends over the weekend and quickly realized it was the Mustache Bar Crawl....It was PACKED. The service was very accomodating, especially when considering the crowds. However, that was about it when it comes to positives. It was hard to navigate, Lines everywhere, and honestly not incredibly enjoyable. I could see this being fun if it wasn't a bar crawl, however, I didn't get to experience it without that occuring.

    Bourbon 75 & a margarita

Just stopped in for a drink. It was a Tuesday afternoon & not overly crowded. They have barstools that look like settles and a western theme which is cute. We were in and out in no time but I'm sure it gets really hectic during peak hours.

No matter the name I ALWAYS have a great time here. The vibe is always fun and great energy! The drinks are great and the staff is great and fun as well. I didn't not know the nacho serving was huge! Five of us could have ate off that plate and it was only two of us! The chicken wings are always a hit, you could never go wrong and the drinks were delicious. Of course the Wrigley area can be challenging for parking so prepare or use spot hero. Expect parking to be four times the normal rate if there is a concert or if the Cubs are playing at home. Good place for great photos. The Country theme is what's now!

    Avocado margarita

I was there yesterday, place is cute. We sat outside and just had drinks. I had the avocado margarita. It was good, but not what I was going for. It's an earthy spicy flavor- palate. I've had better avocado margaritas. Also, we went for line dancing, but the guy at the door said they weren't doing line dancing today, that they do it on Fridays. Even though their website specifically said July 19th and so did their insta story, but we did not see any line dancing going on. So we were kinda bummed and also very confused.

This place is fun!!! If you are I to line dancing , mechanical bull rides and delicious drinks then this is your place ! The food however was a miss .... Overall me and my group of friends enjoyed our western themed night out ! Hee- Ha!! lol

    Grilled Shrimp Nachos

I recently went to this new opened southwest/cowboy themed restaurant and bar in Wrigleyville. There are a lot of cheesy bars and restaurants in this area that are generic sports bars and are good, but don't really distinguish themselves. This is not one of them. This place stands out due to its unique, fun atmosphere and good food. First, the food was very good. Their menu is mostly Tex-Mex, but they have a selection typical bar food like burgers and pizza. I ordered grilled shrimp tacos, brisket nachos, a double cheeseburger, Texas tea cocktail and a cookie skillet for dessert. The shrimp in the tacos was excellent. They were cooked perfectly and they were plump. The sauce that came with the tacos was delicious. The nachos were very good, with lots of toppings a healthy amount of brisket. The double cheeseburger was a solid and can stand up to any burger you'd get in this area. The cookie skillet was yummy and the perfect ending to my meal. The Texas tea was tasty and super strong. Second, the decor and atmosphere were on point. They have gone all out with the cowboy theme. Everywhere I looked I saw a cool vintage sign, guitar or something the make me feel like I was in an old style roadhouse. They even have a vintage gas pump and a mechanical bull on site. The details are amazing, down to saddles as bar seats that swivel. Of course, there is the over the top vintage truck on their patio. In addition, this is a great sports bar too. The night I went, I had great time watching a Cubs game and the NCAA Men's basketball final on their many TVs. Third, service is great. The servers and bar tenders really lean into the cowboy at theme, down to a the bouncer who looked like he walked out of a western ranch. Everyone was super nice and made my dinner that much more pleasant. This is a must visit bar.

You don't get a server even if you're at a table on the first floor. The open doors and patio is quite nice on a good summer day though.

We stayed through the final act, a full band that had the place packed, with everyone dancing and enjoying the lively atmosphere. We also loved that servers came around to take drink orders, so you didn't have to keep getting up to go to the bar. I'd definitely recommend coming early to grab a seat and staying for the whole night. But get food before, they do not sell food. We had an early dinner out before coming. Regardless, we've never experienced a place quite like this and had such a fabulous evening!

It took 20 minutes and $25 each way to Uber there from my hotel in downtown Chicago, as it is 6 miles away. However, totally worth it. Yes ... it's cash only. That's a bit of a bummer. I'd rather pay a surcharge than trust the sketchy little ATM in the bar. Yes ... It's 'lived in'. I wouldn't call it dirty as much as it is worn. To me, this was part of the charm. It's been around since the 1920's and probably looks very similar to how it did in the 1940's. Dark, dingy and fun. Most of the mafia in Chicago didn't hang out downtown. This area is where their HQ was and where most of them congregated in the same way NY's mafia hung out in Bensonhurst instead of Manhattan. The area has a lot of vintage architecture and history, despite being a little more run down and 'authentic' than the more touristy downtown. I went on a Friday around 3:30 p.m. Already, the back seating area was full of people, however there were a few bar seats left in the front. An hour later, it was packed. They start charging a $20 (cash only) cover at 7 p.m. for the live band. Before that was a jazz organist, who was pretty good and a master at working the crowd. They have draft beer ($6 - $10) ... bottled beer ... and booze. My Old Fashioned was made with muddled orange and cherries and only cost $12. A gin and tonic was $9. It can be tough to get a drink because the one bartender works the entire bar. Nice guy though. Don't come here expecting anything other than a dive bar ... there is nothing modern about this place. However, it has one of the best vintage vibes I've honestly ever encountered in a jazz bar. Don't miss out on seeing this bar and hearing some music, even if it means having to Uber or drive. It will be worth the trip. There aren't many places around like this anymore.

I am happy to report that the place has not changed: still a chill vibe and an impressive beer/cider list if that is your jam, plus bubbles for me. Uptown opens from 4 pm to 4 am, so this was the place I use to hang out before shows at the Aragon and the Rivera before and after shows. The lounge still has the booths and tables as options if you don't want to sit at the bar, but me and The Queen sat at the bar. Uptown sort of reminds me of a TARDIS, it is bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside when you are just strolling by. spread out around its surprisingly spacious interior. The Queen ordered the Raspberry Beret and said it was great, followed by a Blakes's El Chavo cider (Habanero and Mango). She is big lover of ciders and according to her they have a decent list to select from. They also serve coffee in the morning, which is new for me. Not sure how that work in terms of the place being open and I don't know if they allow you to bring food into the place or not, I didn't think to ask. I do remember back in the day you could order from Papa Ray's (which closed some time ago), I will have to inquire about this as it would be nice to spend a leisurely nosh over drinks while sitting at the bar. Service was good. There were two ladies behind the bar. I think one was in training. Both were talkative but in a good way, and they took care of us. Because we were there at 4ish, it was pretty quiet and I did not mind that. The Doctor ended up joining us after completing his errands and we had a great time. We definitely will be adding this to our rotation of places to chill and have a drink.

I've been near the front at crazy shows and got smushed from people pushing/moshing. The security is pretty good about handing out water to the crowd though. Also, if it's a crowded show, it does take awhile to get out of the venue because you have to go down a staircase. The stage is very high up and kind of far from the front row, but it's nice because even if you're in the back you can see the stage performers. If you're at barricade, the sound is EXTREMELY loud so bring earplugs! The speakers are huge and directly in front of you. I made the mistake of not having earplugs at barricade. It's an average venue. I wouldn't say it's my favorite or that it's one of the worst. This venue probably has one of my favorite women's bathrooms though lol--I just love how enormous it is and all the mirrors and vanity lights in it. I also love the historic interior design throughout the venue! It's beautiful. They sell alcohol, snacks, candy, pizza (overpriced of course). I've never had a problem getting through security. They're packed tightly so good luck if you get stuck next to someone that's on the heavy side. During the show, a patron fell out of his seat twice and Janelle James ended up mentioning it in her act. He fell because the chairs were terrible!! Poorly constructed doesn't even begin to cover it. The acoustics were good though. I had no problem hearing Janelle James. I could barely see her though. I caught glimpses of her sporadically, which ended up being fine. I didn't buy any food or alcohol, so i have no opinion on that. We exited the venue as quickly as we entered, which was a plus. I think it helped that we were seated towards the back. We got to the brown line in no time and were home soon after. The show was entertaining and I had a good time.
