I have been waiting to come here for years and finally the stars aligned. My husband and I were able to make it for brunch! Absolutely delicious and cannot wait to be back for dinner! The Dippy Dog Bites were particularly fun and paired very well with the jam which surprised us both. He got the Yogurt Bowl which he enjoyed and I had the Salmon Caesar Salad which did not wow but did not disappoint.

We needed a place to dine with our dogs on a cold, early spring evening. Farm Bar has a great outdoor patio that is separate from the main building and is completely enclosed in plastic sheeting and has overhead heaters. The food was just a bonus. They locally source some ingredients from their own farm (outside the city of course). Drinks are expertly crafted too. Service went above and beyond what we expected (this was probably due to the fact that our 2 dogs are adorable).

This was a very cozy experience that I wouldn't mind revisiting! We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's a small, intimate space with warm lighting, so it's a great place for date night. We only came here for drinks and appetizers. We tried the cheese curds and the artichoke dip, and I must say, the dip....AMAZING! If you don't get anything else here, you gotta try it. The drinks were very good, as well. The servers were really nice and cool. I liked their vibes. And at the end, they brought out my friend a happy birthday card and a jar of honey! Super sweet of them. Overall, I'd love to come back here and enjoy a full meal, and one day I will!

Well Aphrodite and I are just passing through and had just explored Belmont dog beach (which was excellent) and it was her first restaurant experience. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious! They even had a pup bowl that she adored and we got to practice a little training because of it. I got the Caesar with steak and it had the perfect crispy finish yet was tender and so flavorful. We sat outside in the partially enclosed patio and even in the rain it was very comfortable. Highly recommend. Thanks!

We came for Easter brunch. Not our very best Farm Bar experience. People were seated on the patio for Easter brunch, restaurant super busy. Half the time the door was open to the outside, and it was about 40*, so we kept putting coats back on inside, due to the door being left propped open. Food arrived to the table rather cold. Apparently the kitchen got hit with many orders at once & staff had trouble getting food delivered to tables while it was still hot. We'll be back, but it was not the best experience. Maybe not go on a holiday brunch?

Went back to Farm Bar again. Like last time it wasn't quite as good as a year ago. This time the manager didn't want to seat us at a table, he wanted to save it for a bigger group or something. We ate at the bar while the table sat empty the entire time and as we left it remained empty. What a brilliant manager... The food was ho hum too. We had the fish and chips, which came out beautiful and piping hot. But the breading was mushy and gummy and the fish lacked flavor. So I guess I will keep walking when passing the Farm Bar in Lakeview. I hate giving meh reviews but this one was earned. On the plus side the bartender was super nice. But the waitress for the table was heard complaining too that she had empty tables.

I came here with some friends before headed to a concert nearby. We ordered brussels sprouts and cheese curds to share. I had the chicken caesar salad to myself. The cheese curds were so freaking good! I could not stop myself from eating them and I think they should increase the portion too cause that little thing was not enough for 3 people! I wasn't a huge fan of the brussel sprouts because of how they did it with bacon and cranberry sauce. I had to brush the sauce off a bit, but other than that it was really good. The chicken caesar salad did not disappoint. The chicken breast was nicely charred/grilled and not dry at all. Overall, pretty solid place to just get a quick meal in before a concert. The service was quick and easy as we were sitting at the bar. They were a bit busy but we told them we would be quick since we had a concert to attend.

Our group came for a first time visit, and we were all charmed. This restaurant is cozily nestled in a neighborhood, yet super busy on a Thursday night. I last minute changed our reservation to an indoor table since Chicago still experiences winter in May, but the outdoor seating did have heat lamps. We enjoyed our food and more than anything the great service. Our server was very attentive and I would recommend.

Went with a small group for the 10th year anniversary. We loved the ambiance and the service was warm and welcoming. We tried a few things on the menu but the apple cider donuts stole the show, the ice cream is incredible and you can tell the owner puts a lot of pride in the quality of his menu. He greeted almost everyone! I will definitely return.

The BEST cheese curds. Must order
    Amy W.

I had THE best cheese curds of my life here. No exaggeration. We were already scheming about how to come back the next day just to sit at the bar with cocktails and another round of curds. It didn't happen this trip, but next time Chicago, it's on. Our waitress was fantastic. I wish I could remember her full name, but her nickname was just a letter--Dee maybe? Either way, she was warm, funny, and totally on top of things. I came with my best college buddy and her teenage daughter who live nearby. We had an early reservation because the place fills up fast, and now I see why. We started with the cheese curds and they absolutely stole the show. Crisp outside, melty inside, with some kind of magical seasoning that made them completely addictive. Honestly, I could have just ordered another round for dinner, but I'm not a psychopath (well, not that night, shhh...). We also got a side of mac and cheese for the table...the secret is a little tang of goat cheese. also great! For my main, I got the pork special with cherry sauce and polenta. I am a sucker for any fruit and meat combo, and this one delivered hard. The pork was layered with texture--crispy edges, tender shreds, rich fatty bites, all of it smothered in that sweet, tart cherry sauce that paired perfectly. The polenta was creamy and comforting, a great base to soak it all up. One of the things I love most is that the specials here rotate every few weeks, so there's always something new and creative coming out of the kitchen. It makes you want to become a regular just to see what the chef dreams up next.

The service was still great and they were happy to get you anything else you wanted, you don't have to go back up to the front. The sweet potato was a stand out dish, I wasn't sure if it would be up my alley and it was so delicious, I wanted another! Everything else was good, but I didn't love the steak. Carrot cake sundae was tasty for dessert. Overall, food, service, and ambiance were great. My only complaint is the price per portion size; I know this is so common for nicer restaurants like this but it felt a little over the top. For a very pricey dinner (and we only got one drink each!), you'd hope to be leaving feeling more full than we did. The food was so good though, I might come back for a light early dinner or late night snack. Or if I win the lottery and can order two of everything!

Upon arriving, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who seated us outside as requested. To start, we ordered two piña coladas, which were perfect for the hot day. For food, we ordered the Parsons Big Dipper Platter, the three-piece fish fry, and Cindy's coleslaw. Let's start with the best part of the meal -- Cindy's coleslaw. It was creamy, flavorful, and exactly how coleslaw should be. The three-piece fish fry was tasty as well, although the batter was a bit too thick for my liking. The biggest disappointment was the Parsons Big Dipper Platter. According to the menu, it included hush puppies, chicken nuggets, and fried shrimp. Unfortunately, when the platter arrived, there was no shrimp included. We brought it to the waiter's attention, and only then were we informed they had run out of shrimp. It would have been nice to know that before ordering. It's surprising for such a busy restaurant to run out of an item that's featured on the menu. As for the service, unfortunately it was poor and inattentive. We constantly had to flag our waiter down anytime we needed something. Overall, the atmosphere was great, but the service and food inconsistencies made the experience disappointing. Not sure if we'll be returning.

I came here with three others and we all ordered different things from the brunch menu along with a few drinks. The atmosphere here is open, modern, and pretty eye catching, we all heard a few negative comments about brunch here and rather than just taking words of advice we came anyways. To be honest we should've went elsewhere, the only thing about the food that actually seemed to have any flavor was the fries and even they were a little salty like my wallet when we left LOL The Jumbo (not so much) Lump Crab Benedict at $25 was honestly boring lacking any flavor also it didn't even come with potatoes I ended up sharing my Lincoln Park Turkey Club that was good but even it was pretty basic at $21, the Burger at $21 literally looked like something off the kids menu the bun was bigger than the patty LOL and the Blackened Chicken Caesar at $19 was more like an appetizer size and the chicken at least it was juicy not dry. Other reviews about brunch here seem to be about the same and honestly I think it's funny they don't even try to elevate their food when so many say about the same things. I think the only reason why people come to this place is 1. It's located in Lincoln Park and 2. that makes it a trendy spot to eat. So why bother fixing anything when it's just trendy and flavorless Their brunch is mediocre but apparently dinner is where it's at. However after the experience with brunch I'm not even sure I would even go back. Come here for the staff eat at your own expense maybe your food will have flavor or not but honestly do what you want and keep it trendy
