I came here several times with my parents as they were in the process of doing a kitchen remodel. First off, the showroom is a showstopper. There were so many beautiful sample kitchen designs. It's hard not to get inspired! Second, their slab yard...holy canoli! There are TONS of slabs to choose from (literally...hahahaha, get it?). It's highly unlikely that you won't find a slab you like. My parents liked that we were able to buy the counters based on our square footage of our kitchen vs the square footage of the slabs. One of the things I loved about shopping here is that none of the salespeople try to breathe down your neck when you're looking around. They give you ample time to walk around and get ideas. When you're ready with some questions, just go to the front desk and they'll call someone up for you! The salespeople are really knowledgeable and really take the time out to help you design your space. Another great thing about this place? They have EVERYTHING! Natural stone, check. Porcelain tile, check. Wood floors, check, check, check! It's a one-stop-shop for home remodel projects. It's definitely worth your time to check this place out. Don't be put off by so many negative reviews! It seems like all the good reviews are getting filtered for some reason...booooo. This place deserves more than that. read more

Just wanted to set the story straight (from the posted negative reviews) about what I experienced entering the store. Great selection and well maintained throughout. After looking at their floor tile, backsplash tile and wood flooring, I found the only granite slab I've seen so far that might work with my color scheme at Stone Age. I was at the store twice. The first time, the front desk staff acknowledged me and then later Ali came over to let me know that he was available to answer any questions. Very personable and not pushy, which I appreciated. When I returned with my husband several days later, again the front desk staff acknowledged me and then we wandered around the store. When we were ready to talk to someone, we went to the front desk and asked for help and someone immediately showed up to help us. Again, not pushy, just knowledgable and letting us know he was available when we have made up our minds. We are older, not particularly well dressed those days, no fancy jewelry. (FYI: I have not purchased anything here yet. The reviews about poor quality installation is what will probably keep me from doing that.) read more

People at Stone Age are very friendly and helpful. I had tiles installed in my living room, kitchen, and all of my bathrooms. The quality of the tiles are fantastic and are holding up very well. SA did a wonderful job on our new countertops. We had a waterfall design and they matched the movement up perfectly! It's stunning. Update- just completed another project with Stone Age. Ohan was my salesperson and he was wonderful. I Had some special needs on counter height and remodeling of an island that he relayed to the install crew the morning of the install. The install crew (Esqueval?) are true craftsmen and really nice guys. I am picky and have high expectations. They worked so hard to make everything perfect and cleaned up great. In addition, Esqueval took the time at the end to go over the care products I should buy to keep the marble looking good. Perhaps SA isn't the least expensive choice ( but not overpriced) but they do it right and want you to be pleased with the outcome. read more

The week before Christmas we had our countertop installed that we purchased thru Costco. On December 28th, my husband discovered a crack, on the countertop, my husband called our salesperson , Ohan, who assured us not to worry because he was going to take care of it. In about 10 days it was replaced!! The service we received from Ohan was outstanding!! Ohan is very knowledgeable, friendly and true to his word!! Today I just needed two small pieces of porcelain tile cut to make room for a replacement barbecue on our patio. Thought it would be a hassle, but called and they said "No Problem!" The showroom and workmanships is great. Their math is not. I checked the math on the quote and found a $100 error in their favor. Their accounting is hard to follow. You get two or more contracts (labor and material) and they ask for partial payments with no invoice to know how much is applied to each contract. When the work is done you get a one page "pay and sign" with no idea how they came up with the amount. Any you have two options, pay with a check or write down all your credit card info so it can be easily shared with the installation crew and their families. I refused to pay them anything until they could tell me how they arrived at the amount and they could not. I phoned in the credit card info on a number I called. read more

I just purchased about 300 ft of tile from Stone Age. Zack Habaibeh's service excellence has been so impressive that I even sent a note to his manager. Zack bent over backward to find us the exact tile I wanted the very next day, making special arrangements that took a lot of time and effort. His attention to detail -- such as asking to keep my sample so he can make sure when it arrives it's exactly what we are expecting -- truly goes beyond the typical. I was amazed that he said he'd come in on Saturday just for that purpose. Wow. That's the kind of service a person raves about to friends and family. My husband Alex was just as impressed by Zack's tremendous courtesy and desire to please customers. In addition to renovating our home in Redondo Beach, we own 4 other condos in the OC, and my parents own 13 units in Anaheim. My wife and came in looking for stone and tile for our master bathroom. Last room to redo in our house and wanted to do it right. Zack asked us if we need help and we told him what we were looking for and he showed us a number tiles and let us take our time and look. We asked a few more questions and said we would think on it this week. He did not put any pressure on us at all. We made it back a few weeks later and he helped us with a design as Pam and really suck at it. We made the purchase and waited for the tile to come in. Took a few trips and they replaced the broken tiles as the one tile only came in box lots so all had to be good. Did take another trip. Finely got it all installed and design came out perfect and it is the look we were looking for! Very happy with Zacks help and the support management gave him to take care of us! Nice shop, no doubt. Selection of granite slabs and flooring is one of the best on tile row. However, I would strongly hesitate actually doing business with them as their customer service pretty much stops at being able to answer "how much is this,or how much is that ?". They don't return phone calls, don't reply to emails. I wouldn't want to be hostage to that sort of indifference after placing a thousand dollar order with them. I'm going to move on down the row and find a shop with a more engaged and professional staff. read more

Beware!!! Jose Munoz Aguallo came on behalf of this company to complete my floors. He took the payment upfront, left behind a big mess without finishing and made a bogus contract. I was later informed that Peter was employed by Stone Age tile who hired Jose to complete the job. Peter now claims he does not know who Jose is and never hired him while they came together to my home on the given date! The manager Roger tried to resolve the issue with no success. Hello, I am a homeowner in Irvine. We recently bought our kitchen countertops from Stone Age. My wife was interested in a very specific quartzite stone that was hard to find. Stone Age did a great job hunting down the 2 slabs needed for the job. Next, they did a terrific job cutting, fabricating and polishing the slabs. The installation crew was top notch. They arrived on time as scheduled, brought plenty of workers along to carry the heavy slabs into the kitchen, and completed the entire installation in just 4 hours. They were also meticulous in their job prep & cleanup. Last, we noticed an issue with the kitchen island slab after installation. There was a blemish on the slab that was caused during the stone mining process at the quarry. When we called to complain, we were most impressed that Stone Age VP and owner, Roger, came out personally to care for the issue. Thanks Roger! We're very happy with job. I should mention that this is the second time we used Stone Age. They remodeled our bathroom a few years back. We would highly recommend Stone Age for a job well done! read more

There are many tile & stone businesses along state college boulevard in Anaheim to choose from. Stone Age has a very nice showroom and backyard to select whatever materials that you may need. The moment you walk into Stone Age there is someone to greet you. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Their prices are competitive. The installation crew did an outstanding job and they cleaned up all of the dust and debris using drop clothes and vacuums. The finished quartz tops turned better than we ever imagined. This was our 3rd and last time using Stone Age. The installation was sloppy and the installers were very rude. Our job was 2 days. They left our $3500 cooktop in the backyard overnight, even after I asked them not to. They left our disposal in the backyard overnight, even after I asked them not to. I ask them about installing the sinks, they said that was up to us. OK, I hired a plumber and he discovered 2 valves they broke and a drain broken. I contact our rep and sent photos of all the issues, including the poor quality of the quartz, "splotchy marks", horrible seams, and a spill on our concrete in the backyard. Did I mention that It took me a full day power washing the backyard to clean up after them? Then we had to clean out every cabinet because they decided to (pretend they were vacuuming the drawers). After several text messages with our rep, I was told Matt would contact us to take a look. That was 4 weeks ago. Still no Matt. Very disappointed. read more

I read all of the reviews just now after we purchased our new granite counter-top from Stone Age Tile. We went there after looking at their website and was attracted by the selection. The exterior of their building helped too. It was not the typical, "industrial" tilt-up building. It is really nice and inviting. I can say, after reading the negative comments below, that our experience was NOTHING LIKE THAT! Maybe they've made some adjustments in customer service after getting the negative reviews. From start to finish, it was a great experience. We went there and was immediately attracted to a particular granite ("Fusion"). Carl, the sales rep, was very helpful. I brought all of my measurements with me and he was very honest about the estimate. It was an expensive granite and he even recommended we consider something else. Nothing else seemed to "pop" with us. So, "Fusion" it was. We then were taken out to their slab-yard. OMG, what a great selection of granite and other stone slabs! Carl was very patient with us and allowed us to see several "book-end" slabs of granite. When we finally settled on a couple, it was just a couple days before Alejandro came over to do the template and demo. He was on time and worked with us. Speaking of being patient, my wife started to rethink the slabs we had chosen. So, we went back there a few days later and asked Carl if we could look at other slabs - just in case. He asked one of the guys in the yard to help us out and we looked at our slabs again and a few others. We realized that our first choice was a good one and we felt much better. No one at Stone Age was rude to us, nor impatient with us in any way. They answered our questions and took time with us. Even when we went there to work with Alejandro to choose the layout of our cabinets on the slabs, he allowed us to move the templates around a few times to make sure the unique patterns we wanted to capture on the counter and back-splash were exactly what we wanted. Be aware, you will have to have the sink removed prior to when they remove the old counter-tops. You will need to reinstall the plumbing following the install. We just replaced the old sink in the hole on the plywood base they put down for a few days. If you don't have plumbing experience, that may not work for you, so you'll be out of a kitchen sink for a few days. That was clearly stated to us before everything started. WOW! They just finished installing them today. They are beautiful! What a difference they make in our kitchen. We have not really remodeled since we bought the house over 20 years ago. I'm glad we waited for just the right counter-top. It is a new place now. I do recommend Stone Age heartily! Ask for "Carl" to help you chose the right material for a fair price, then ask for "Alejandro" to help make it just right. The install team was great too. They worked all day (and put up with me hovering about to see it all come together) and it came out perfectly. read more

We took a chance with Stone Age for the cabinet design, fabrication, and install after we met Lila Milbes who came out to give us a quote for the Cambria Brittanica through Costco. We had seen the Britannica quartz in a catalog and also at a Cambria showroom and knew that was the countertop we wanted for our kitchen and bathroom remodel before we even had an idea for the cabinet design! Lila is easy going and pleasant to work with and she recommended Chris Beck at Stone Age. Because the Yelp reviews were mostly for supply and materials and not for cabinet design or installation we were a bit nervous at first! However Chris Beck was very patient and sat down with us to create custom designs based on the concept pictures I sent him from Houzz. We almost hired another cabinet company until we compared the pricing, the quality of the materials, and the responsiveness of the project manager. Lila and Chris addressed our concerns along the way and dealt with our design changes over the past couple of months and exceeded our expectations! The entire crew from the cabinet installer (Jim) to the countertop measurements and install (Alex) were hard working and detail oriented. We love our cabinets and Brittanica countertop and Lila really came through for us every step of the way. We will definitely recommend friends and family to Stone Age. They did a fine job on my countertops. But the backsplash is a different story. They got mortar on my cabinets, tracked mortar through my house and left my electric boxes hanging out. When I called to question this Roger just made excuses and treated me like I was just a complainer. The grout between the countertop and tile is now chipping away. WOW, I just couldn't believe my counter replacement was only going to take 2 days total. Guess what 'IT ONLY TOOK 2 DAYS'. Lila was the best to work with and thought of things I needed to consider before making up my mind. She was soooooooooooo knowledgeable about the tile industry and most importantly she's a pleasure to work with and shows she loves what she does. I have attached a picture of my kitchen before (darker counters/back splash) and several after pictures. I love love love my new kitchen so I've decided to use Stone Age with Lilas guidance to help re-face my fireplace now. Chris designed my kitchen and helped oversee the installation of all the cabinets. My kitchen went from 38 square feet of countertops to over 100. Removed one wall and added a giant island. everything is now soft close and my wife can't complain about storage space anymore. Victor helped me with my wood floors. Stone Age helped me replace a farmhouse sink that required cutting into the marble countertop. The fabricator told me it was the first time in 22 years he had to replace a defective sink. So when it's time to remodel your house and you're driving down "tile mile" (State College Blvd), searching for a stone/tile and flooring company, I would highly recommend Stone Age Tile, Inc. Yes, they have all the tile and stone you could image and yes, they have sales people But where they clearly distinguish themselves from the other businesses is through customer service and patience. Stone Age Tile, Inc brings a value to the relationship. They can sell the materials as well as fabricate in-house and install; which minimizes costs and lead-times. This is important to note as many of the other tile businesses will use a third party for these services. The sales people are genuinely interested in your project and not just "selling" you as much as they can and move you on. One such sales person is Chris Beck. I can't say enough about his professionalism and willingness to work with us. Our first project was a small bathroom remodel. We had an idea of what we wanted but no clue about the counter top options. He showed us high end stone and more affordable choices. He separated himself from others by taking time to better understand our needs and think beyond the sale to ensure we get the right material for the project. He got his hands dirty digging into various "remnant" piles and pulled out a piece of stone that was perfect. His prices were more than fair and because they fabricate in-house and do the installation, the project was completed within 8 days of placing the order. The whole process exceeded our expectations so we returned to see Chris for our Fireplace hearth, BBQ island, outdoor counter top and of course, an extensive kitchen remodel. Overall I was very disappointed with the service we received at Stone Age Tile. We previously purchased a slab for our rental property and decided to come back when we remodel our kitchen. They had varieties of options on the showroom to choose from which we liked. I inquired on a sample piece to take home to see if it would coordinate well with our decor. They required a $40 upfront deposit and will refund once the samples are returned. We asked the consultant if there's any restriction when we need to return the sample and she specifically told us "NO". We had a major flooding at our house in mid December and wasn't able to return the sample. When we attempted to returned the sample a month after on a Sunday , were surprised to find out they changed their business hours and closed on Sunday. Finally we came on a Saturday and hope to get our deposit back . They asked for the yellow slip which unfortunately I couldn't locate due to the flooding at my house in December. However, I'd think they kept the original copy for their own record. They refused to return the deposit and said they required an exception since it passed the 15 day and said that someone will call me on Monday. I told them I was not notified at the time with any restrictions. Since my last visit, no one attempted to reach out to me for resolution. The $40 deposit is not a concern but it's the matter of principle and the level of service standard that I was disappointed in . Not sure what changed but Stone Age Tile before offered more honest and exceptional services in the past. read more
