We came to the Tuscany Ballroom for the annual lobster festival. It's located on the second floor…read moreof the Tuscany towers at the Peppermill. We were invited about a month in advance for two free nights and a pair of tix to the festival. We took advantage of this offer and decided to take my mom. Although the dinner didn't start until six pm, we were told to check in at four pm because the lines get long. I did what I was told and saw that the line at four was about fifty people long. It took about fifteen minutes to check in. By the time I checked in, there was well over a hundred people in line. I found out later a Yelp friend was in line, we joked that if he texted me sooner, he could've checked in with us! Once inside, we were amazed at how grand this ballroom is! It was decorated in a holiday theme with a live band playing songs from the 60's and 70's. They were great! Each table was set with place settings and service for ten guests per table. Once we sat, we proceeded to the buffet line. Each guest is allowed two lobster tails each. The tails were about 4-6 ounces each. My first lobster was delicious but the second was overcooked and the servers on hand were quick to replace it with a new one. With lobster tails, claws, fried chicken, barbecue pork loin, sides of every kind, desserts and an open host bar. I could see why they charge $90 per ticket for anyone who wants extra tickets. All of the staff and servers were very efficient and courteous. They did a phenomenal job of serving and bussing tables all night long. We estimated that there must've been over fifteen hundred people in attendance. This was a fantastic event and can't wait to go to the other events that the Peppermill puts on for their guests! Will call/ticket pick up is right outside of the ballroom, which makes sense. But when we asked someone where it was, they had no idea. Besides the fundraiser event I attended, the bar within the ballroom is setup for alcohol purchase - it's cash only and usually pretty steep prices ($10/drink). The sound in the room is actually pretty good, and for the concert they put up large screens on either side of the stage for those of us who were far away from the stage. Overall, a great space for any size event.

My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. Jake and Lorenzo were so very friendly and welcoming to all of us. Our food trays came from the Cheese Board which I will review separately. We had three signature drinks available to the guests but it was an open bar so there were other offerings to be had. I really love this space and I hope that they can expand into having food and more regular happy hours. It is on the alley back side of Virginia Street so a little bit difficult to find but it is definitely worth checking out. If you need a small sized venue you could probably accommodate easily 50 people with comfortable couches, brick walls, a piano and a nice size bar in the back corner. Really love the space.

If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. There are multiple rooms inside along with a bar and a kitchen area. They have big refrigerators and a fair amount of space inside the kitchen. The courtyard is shaded and very comfortable, even in the summer. The best part I think is the access to the park. If you guests need to take a breather they can walk a couple of steps and be in the trees. Thumbs Up!
