This was a fun experience with friends. We went to listen to some live music and enjoy food and drink. The place is small inside but comfy with a couch area and lots of high tables. There's also an outdoor patio area. They also offer a variety of food options. In the mornings they have breakfast items as well. Beautiful views and great entertainment. The staff were friendly. Our pizza came out a little burnt and they brought it out to show us. They gave us that pizza for free and went back to remake the pizza. I thought that was great service. Came for Sunday morning yoga and mimosas and was absolutely delighted. Although I love myself an apres ski I had never before had the opportunity to visit The Lodge Bar and Patio. All that changes now! The patio is nestled in the trees just of Mount Rose Highway. They have wines, charcuterie, and pizzas. A coworker and I decided to join for the yoga which was a fantastic hour long class and included what turned out to be bottomless mimosas. We stayed for about 2 hours after the class and had perfectly pleasant morning. The staff are kind and answer all your questions. There was also a makers mart while we were there so I also got some tasty salsa macha! Ps I saw a puppy on the patio so guess who is coming next time, fig! It's hot out and business is slow: music is inside where it's too loud (3 tables w/customers inside 2-4 people at bar) and 3 couples on patio with no service! Been here 1.5 hours and no follow up. Appears to be 4 servers so not sure of why service is so unavailable....a glass of cold water or another Chardonnay would be great.... Whoohoo! 1.5 hours later a gal appears! I ask for a glass of water and bill and am told have to go inside! Maybe not the place for single gals as a couple just cashed out outside.... Númerous insects outdoors... Aaaand a HH glass of Chardonnay is $11! Sorry, guess I won't be returning and too bad as it's in the n'hood but I'm not a Montreux resident just an old time Reno gal. Excellent down to earth service. They're super easy to talk to, and nice. Employees take their job seriously and are respectful. I've gotten coffee here twice, it's high quality. They have good craft cocktails, beer on tap, and yummy foods. I got a panini here a while back and it was delicious. They have live music events here often. There's an art gallery in the back too. I met a friend for coffee at The Lodge on Saturday morning. I drove up Mount Rose Hwy and was struck by the beauty of the surrounding area, what a great location. The parking lot was ample and there was a small farmers market food truck on location. Inside the space was sleek and had a cool vibe and much more room than I anticipated. They offered quite a few types of coffee drinks but I was disappointed to find that they did not offer pastries or breakfast items. We decided to enjoy our coffee on the patio and chatted a bit with Carly, the owner of the wine and coffee bar, in the process we found out that breakfast items are in the works and the extra spaces in the back of the space would soon be occupied. One area will be a women's sport shop! I'm excited to find The Lodge and I'm looking forward to going back in a couple weeks for wine tasting and live entertainment. read more

The Lodge has a nice atmosphere except for being crowded and extremely loud at times. The food used to be pretty good but last time we went the pizzas were terrible. They advertise a Lodge Pizza that should have had pepperoni on it but it was just a ton of flavorless white cheese on a piece of dough with a few underripe tomatoes scattered on it. Why do they SAY the pizzas have pepperoni then they fail to put pepperoni on them? Go figure. The magarita pizza also is just a pile of white cheese on bread with maybe a couple of shreds of basil and a couple of pieces of unripe tomato on top. When I mentioned to the woman at the counter that the pizzas have gone downhill since we were there last year she was totally dismissive - to the point of being rude. They are quite busy, so it is not too surprising they don't care if your experience was not that great there. One good thing is that the wines can be pretty decent. But a lot of places have great wines without the bad food and uncaring service. We will not be going back. read more

It's a coffee bar and, well, a bar bar as well, mostly focusing on wine. We stopped on our way to Tahoe for a coffee and it was pretty solid. I'm eager to try a wine flight in the afternoon, as they have a nice little patio area as well. The inside is nicely decorated in a modern, sleek way, with a hint of mountain cabin. There is seating both inside and out so no matter the weather, you can find a nice spot to sit.
