Our shower renovation was an absolute disaster. When they installed our marble floor and shower tile, it was visibly not sealed properly, as dark spots were visible on the tile where the water hit. We were told the tile was sealed 5 times and that it was the tile that was just porous. There was also excess grout on the tile that was sealed into the bathroom floor. Stephen also told us it was not necessary to move the shower valve from the bath height to shower height, which looks very weird now that the shower floor was raised 6 inches from where the tub was. 6 weeks later, black mold appeared all along the faces of the bottom row of shower tiles. Stephen came back to reseal it with a different sealer, and afterwards the entire shower had uneven coloring, with permanent dark drippy spots and wiping patterns. A marble specialist concluded that there is a moisture problem stemming from the initial installation of the tile, and there was likely a chemical reaction that occurred between them cleaning off the mold and applying the sealer the second time. His opinion is that it wouldn't be worth trying to salvage the tile. Even if he sanded down and refinished the tile there is no guarantee how far down the damage goes. Once we got the opinion of the marble specialist, Stephen has ignored my calls and emails and refuses to take responsibility for his mistakes. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Potential clients need to be aware of working with this company We had a horrible experience with Exquisite. 1. Poor communication - they didnt respect our time. told us multiple times they would be at our house in one hour and then would call 3 hours later saying they couldn't make the appointment. then we would have to follow-up to reschedule. 2. Subs - several of their subs were unprofessional and disparaged the owners while on the job site. 3. Quality - miscut stone and then tried to convince us that it was ok and told us about other imperfections in our house....or to "Cover up the mistake with a plant" lol. When we asked for the stone to be replaced at their cost, they said it was too late and that they would provide a discount instead. They do not value quality or service. 4. While we were negotiating a final price (based on contractor error) they filed a lien on our property.... before the work was even complete. Horrible ethics. After payment in full, still didnt complete the work. and we do not want them to come back in our home after this experience. Six hour into the removal I asked; What are you guys doing and how long is this going to take? (note it would take them 4 days at this rate) I called the company about it and received no answer, called the Forman got no answer and I could not communicate with the workers because of a language issue. With that said I gave them my power tool to do the job they removed the tile in 6 hours yet left the cement board attached. Asked the company about the cement board and if they can tile over. They said NO. Then I asked for quotes on the tile. Flash forward 12 Days, got the quote and it was extremely high so I decided to not do it. AT that point I asked them since the demo included cement board and I rented the guys my tools so What is the new price? Considering that the company breached the contract I offered them a fair price to compensate the work completed, he replied with NO you pay me $2350 or I will sue you. Going as far to tell me it cost them 1000$ of garbage. During the whole process the quote was shady (done over text) , work was shady and incomplete and most important communication was AWFUL!!!!! I would completely avoid them unless you prepare yourself to get taken advantage, have awful communication and have mid to lower level work done.

Louie scowled his disapproval and suggested another idea with better aesthetics: With expert workmanship, he and his partner created a clean line between the two surfaces (no transition piece). Beautiful! My idea: circa 1980. Louie's solution: Timeless, classic, elegant. Louie could have stuck with the plan. He gave us something way better. Before starting this project, I thought: I'd really like to patronize a small local business -- even if that meant paying more. Surprisingly, Epic's price came in lower than the big box. I think their refusal to agree in writing really makes us worry and doubt their reliability... we ain't about to drop $20k when there's no reassurance!
