Have to say the food was very disappointing. Didn't try their pizza but started with a Caesar salad. For $10, I got a modest portion of chopped dry romaine with old chewy croutons served on a paper plate. No dressing! Had to ask for it. Never heard of a Caesar salad coming without dressing. The meatballs were served luke warm to room temperature, and were bland as was the gravy. The staff was nice enough but you could tell very inexperienced and inattentive as a result. My son and I went for dinner last night, and the food was great, however, we didn't enjoy our meal, the vibe was not good. Not sure what was going on with the female manager but she was acting all out of sorts and creating a huge disturbance. She was making a scene and she wasn't even trying to be discrete about it. We asked our server who she was, and she told us it was one of their managers. Like I said, food was delicious but they need to work on their staffing, because managers should not act like loons. I asked for chicken bacon ranch pizza (All on the menu) and he said it would all go on a normal pizza but that they could do it. I then said I will get plain pizza with a side of ranch and he said they were out of ranch. How can they have ranch on top but not on the side. Nicely renovated pizza place with a good local beer selection and average pizza. You won't be blown away by the food, but it is decent and the dock out back is a great place to enjoy a pie and a beer. If you're just looking for takeout, you're way better off going to 7 Mile Pies read more

Friendly staff and the bar was nice enough, but I did not care for the pizza. It tasted a little bit like Ellio's frozen kind.

Everything about this place screamed bad experience. The host staff was very young, unprofessional and did not seem to care at all for my family when we came in to eat. Walking into the place it was fairly empty for a Saturday evening in July. We saw that they have nice tables out by the water and asked for one. We were told that it would be a 20-25 min wait, which was fine for us being that all the other restaurants in the area had about an hour wait. So we went to the bar which was empty and got a bottle of wine while we waited. After about 25 min we checked back in with the male host who made a comment, "Oh you are still here?" At this point, we noticed that there were 3 open tables outside and had asked for one of the two tables right by glass water-side. We were told that the one table was reserved for a party of 7 but the other one was open. At this time, a family of 4 had just walked in and put their name on the wait list. The male host takes us outside drops our menus on the ground, shrugs it off picks them up and proceeded to put them on the table they were going to sit us at. The problem is he sat us at a table we directly asked not to sit at. He gives me attitude when I reminded him I wanted the table by the water. The male host walks back inside and gets the family of 4 who just came in and sat them at the table we wanted and have been waiting for. When we ask him what happened he replied, "Oh well" and "Do you want this other table or not?". So I go up to ask to speak to the manager who says he is too busy and waves me off. When I again say I want to speak to him he goes "are you sure?(you want to speak to me). At this point we got so upset that I said forget it and we left. This place was so unprofessional and poorly run. My family felt so unwelcome, and disrespected. I will keep posting this so everyone is aware of the horribly run, lack of guest service that this place offers. read more

I've gotten an order for pickup several times here and every time has gotten worse to the point where I'm no longer going to be ordering here. I placed an order of 6 wings and fries, they told me 15 minute wait. I arrived 20 minutes or so later and once there I was standing at the front of the pickup line with 4 people behind and I was receiving 0 service for 5-10 minutes before one of the employees on their phone decided to put it down and help me. However while waiting I witnessed a waiter drop a plastic cup in the floor then pick it up and proceed to give it to a customer, DURING A PANDEMIC?! Once I was helped they were looking for my order for 4 minutes and then came back and said it will be about 5 more minutes so I brushed it off and said ok, however what i realized is that one of them actually only just placed the order on the computer and tried to act like it would just take longer. Then when I came back I gave them my card and then she returned me my receipt, which get this WAS THE WRONG AMOUNT. I ordered 7 dollars worth of wings and they charged me for 14 dollars worth of wings double what i asked. This has happened before so when I was on the phone this time I explicitly said one 6 piece order of wings so they knew I wanted the 7$ one not the 12 piece which is $14. Not even Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue could save this place. They need Jesus. Periodt. read more

Ok service, our meatball app was sent back twice( frozen 1st attempt , 2nd still not warm ) until they finally threw in the towel. But that's not the complaint and the low ratings. We get the bill , 2 gin and tonics doubles $ 24 dollars a piece. Good luck with that even in Stone Harbor it's outrageous. read more

Tried this place again after being disappointed last year with the meager toppings on the pizza. Disappointed again. $22 "large" pizza with prosciutto and arugula. A few tiny pieces of prosciutto were on the pizza. The pizza crust itself was very good though . Very nice bartender. A lot of money for pizza dough. read more

This pizza place was awesome. Beautiful setting and great customer service. We did have to wait a bit for our table but that's everywhere in stone harbor at 7. I don't eat dairy so they happily made me a pie with just sauce and pineapple. It was amazing and so appreciated. My meat eating friends loved their pizzas as well. We did not get our drinks for at least 30 minutes even after reminding the waiter. Our food ended up coming before we even got our drinks. The food was cold and did not all arrive at the same time. Terrible. Long wait for cold nachos. As i sit back and watch, on a slow sunday afternoon, the waitress, bartendeer a manager have no clue. All hanging out by the kitchen to figure it out. Seems like zero communication between a inexperienced kitched and host staff. Also my 4 year old son asked for pepperoni pizza, we got a cold slice of plain pizza. This place has no idea what it wants to be. The Reeds bought it, gave it a fancy facade and new menu, and renovated the inside, which is all reflected in the high prices. So we were expecting some high quality pizza and good service. Most pizza is $22+, the cheapest bottle of wine is $30...and yet the food is served on paper plates with paper cups. Not to mention the food is terrible. The "fried mozzarella" was frozen mozzarella sticks you can buy at Acme, the meatballs were cold (which makes me think they were frozen too), and the cheese pizza we ordered was terrible. Floppy and greasy with no sauce. I'd normally chalk it up as just a bad pizza place and move on, but it's the ridiculous prices that make this place truly terrible. We only gave this two stars because the hostess and our waitress were lovely. Our table overlooked the bay so the view was exceptional. The food was downright pathetic. Whoever made our pie clearly had no love for the food. In fact I bet they never even tried it. We had the Bruschetta pie and it was very disappointing. The dough wasn't cooked properly and the toppings were applied post baked and unbalanced. If you told me all the kitchen staff had walked out and the kitchen responibilities fell to the dishwasher that night, I would have believed it. I would not recommend this place. Sad to say our family won't be returning here. It used to be a tradition for the past 6 years to get pizza for dinner the first night in Stone Harbor but since The Reeds bought Stone Harbor Pizza, too many changes have been made for the worse. They have a liquor license now so the corking fee is $30. The food comes served on paper plates but we had to wait on utensils because the silverware was being wrapped and rolled. We waited a long time to get seated- it even exceeded the time we were told when we made the reservation. Once seated in the back, there was a lack of light from the sun going down so we couldn't see our menu or our food. The pizza was ok. The pizza came way after the meal did and not all at the same time as one would expect. The kids had chicken parm and meatball sandwiches which looked to be pretty good. But the Caesar salad didn't even have croutons! The waitress was constantly rushing away from the table, setting everything in front of me to be passed around, and was just not friendly. Sometimes you just want your go-to pizzeria not a "fancy shmancy" pub as one lady called it as she walked off saying it used to be better. We should've listened and saved ourselves the over-priced food. She was right. It used to be a lot better before it was given this horrible over-haul. read more

Nice remodel for the building but bad remodel of the food. I dined for the second time under new management last night. My first was when it initially opened. The service at the bar was friendly and attentive which was an improvement from the first visit. We moved to a table on the outside deck for dinner. The marg pizza was undercooked and doughy while the fresh mozzarella was not even slightly melted. The sausage pizza was also undercooked and lacked flavor. Our service outside was also good. Our neighbors dined nearby and also had a bad experience with both their food and service with a pledge to never return. I am right behind them. Food is poorly executed and overpriced. They should have kept the original Stone Harbor pizza recipe. Hard to say why the Reeds thought this was a good compliment to a high end hotel. read more

Poor service and bad food. We tried them because they offer gluten free pizza on their menu. For two small pizza and an ice tea and soda it was about $60. Crazy experience. We were not allowed to sit out on the deck and had to sit inside. Waitress was not friendly and knew nothing about the menu or the ingredients. We got one small pizza and one small gluten free pizza and drinks. We wanted beer and something else, but she was in the back talking and laughing with her friends. Not impressed. I dont think that the cardboard tasting crust was gluten free because I got really sick. My boyfriend loves pizza and didn't think this had as many toppings as usual.Dont waste your time on this overpriced fiasco. read more

Pizza sounds great when your hungry, but when your waiting 40min. for a pizza it's just not the same. Stone Harbor Pizza Pub was aesthetically pleasing but the service was horrible. We seat ourselves down and wait 10min for the menus then go to order a large pepperoni pizza and two sodas. We wait patiently for the sodas. The server took 10min. Just for our drinks. This is ridiculous. Drinks are very important to the meal. During the time that we waited for our pizza the waiter didn't offer refills. We had to ask if it cost extra to refill our drinks, and then she replied no and almost walked away without refilling our obvious empty cups. Then near the end of the dinner we asked for the bill and it took her 10min to go get it and then we waited 15min for her to pick the bill up and get our change. This service was horrible, we felt neglected and like we didn't have a server. The only reason this restaurant gets a two star is because the pizza tasted delicious. read more

We've been coming here for 10 years, during our annual family vacation to Avalon. We returned for a night out in Stone Harbor, and were appalled at how bad the food has become here! The crust was cardboard, the cheese fake and greasy, and it was honestly some of the worst pizza we've ever had. The mozzarella sticks clearly came from the frozen department at acme, and for $8 you get 4 Teeny little sticks. The Caesar salad was nearly rotting dry chopped romaine lettuce, with soggy croutons and dressing on the side. Honestly, even though the space got a nice update, whomever the new owners are really ruined a Stone Harbor staple. We couldn't even finish our slices, much less the two pies we had ordered. Please consider investing in quality ingredients that produce a somewhat edible pie! read more
