Came here on a Saturday around 2:30 for a wine tour with a group of 12. Honestly, I wasn't really a fan of the experience. The lady at the register wasn't the friendliest. We all wanted to do the wine tasting together, but she let 3 of our friends go in one tasting room and told the rest of us we had to wait until 3:30 for another one. Since we came together, we decided not to do it at all. The prices were reasonable, and the views of the town were really pretty. We walked down to the other bar and sitting area, but they were pretty much out of everything. No brats, the slush machine was down, so that was disappointing. We figured we'd just eat at the Vintage restaurant on the property, but they told us they weren't seating anyone until 4:00. It was just kind of one thing after another. The property is beautiful, but the customer service and everything being unavailable definitely put a damper on the

We visited the Stone Hill Winery with my wife's sister and her husband. We did the guided tour of the wine cellars which actually have quite a bit of history (dug by hand, etc.). Our tour guide was great and we really enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed a delightful lunch on the patio - the food and service were quite good. My only criticism of the dining experience was when the waitress brough the check and my wife said she was picking it up and the waitress looked at the check and said "well, you're getting off pretty cheap". I think that comment was rude and uncalled for. We did buy some wine to take with us and enjoyed our visit despite the waitresses' comment.

Location. Wine. Environment. Nonstop bustle. This venue is just hands down, beautiful. Stone Hill is a must visit when you're in town - do not opt out for the tour. This place has such amazing history, dating back to 1847. Stunning!

It was a nice little stopover. Paid for a tasting at the counter; they gave us a couple of tokens, and then we walked towards the back for the tasting. Wine was Ok. Service was friendly. We did purchase a bottle of the Old Vine Norton to try some time later.

The restaurant was very neat...an old horse barn with the stalls converted to booth seating. We were very excited to try some of the German food since we seem to have less and less of those and it was delicious. The woman that waited on us was very friendly and we were in and out in less than hour as we were trying to make the 12:30 tour so that made us happy. The tour was free and very interesting. We learned some very interesting things we had no idea about. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

The wine/gift shop is wonderful with many great options. The tasting room is fun. There are awesome cacti in the sunroom. Be sure to take the winery tour--it's worth visiting where they make the wine!

We had such a pleasant experience at Stone Hill Winery for a tasting and tour. Jill was THE BEST- I would highly recommend requesting her if you pay them a visit! The history on the tour was so interesting and we found a handful of wines we loved. We ended up buying 6 bottles but didn't notice until we got home that they gave us the wrong ones- that's really our only complaint. I also wished they had a better selection of merchandise!

Went for dinner which was after winery hours. Barn like setting , casual and welcoming. Made reservations for our group of six. Service was slow and we had to repeat our orders to the waitress as she lost our originals. We ordered some starters , cheeses, potato pancake for sharing. We're ample and good. Most of us ordered German dishes which were typical, like cutlets, potato salad, cabbage. Salads included with meal and bread / rolls service . Did not leave hungry. Medium prices. Wine by the glass very reasonably priced. Beer available.

Stopped by Stone Hill for a tasting while riding the Trolley in Hermann. The place is much bigger than anywhere else and their selection of wine is huge. Their wines were probably my favorite of the ones we tried in Hermann. Employees were kind, but nothing outstanding.

We arrived just in time for a free tour! Our informative guide escorted us to underground cellars and explained the history of Stone Hill+ prohibition era and what led to today's family continuing ownership. After tasting a few whites and reds, we opted for the Hellbender Blanc + a bottle of Steinberg Rose (we typically settle on red wine, but these two were the stars). We kept our stemless wine glass, a souvenir w/ the $15 tasting fee. Next: lunch at Vintage. The ruben sandwich was my favorite! Vintage is a gem among all the Hermann restaurants. ** Odd as it sounds, good ole Sharp Corner burgers are a close 2nd.

If you've only got time for one winery in Hermann, this is it. Great view. Plenty big. Good wine selection. Free tours. Paid tastings. $15. You choose 6 wines and you keep the glass. Stemless. The young lady who did our tasting was friendly. Minus one star because oyster crackers or saltines would have been helpful between tastes.

Great Lunch option in Hermann MO. We ordered buffalo ranch chicken sandwich, and the German Duo which includes half portion of schweineschnitzel, bratwurst, and German potato salad. We also enjoyed the bread pudding desert. Gluten free options and flexible with food allergies. Clean restaurant and good service. Thank you.

Wine tasting in a group is so therapeutic! The service here is amazing, everyone is friendly and welcoming. We love their wine, something here for everyone. Noted quite a few wines that are only available here at the winery. Very enjoyable time for all.

Great time. Had Kyle as tour guide and wine sample bartender. He was the best. If you go here ask for him, guarantee good time.

The Traminette was also pretty good -- sweeter, good for sitting outside and sipping during the summer.

The wine tasting was 6 sweets and semi sweets. Very good time was had. Food was served here and I ordered chicken shredded nachos which was delicious and meaty. My friends ordered flat breads which in my opinion both tasted like cheese bread and lacked flavoring. Seating was available, live band played to groove too. Souvenir shop and wine slushes. No complaints, I really enjoyed it here. Kudus to friendly staff and a clean property.

You can choose between a tasting of all dry wines or all sweet wines, which makes it easy to pick what you prefer. There's also a restaurant on-site, The Bistro, where I ordered the pepperoni flatbread pizza, which was really good. I also tried the frozen blueberry and lemon margarita, and it was absolutely delicious! The friendliest of the staff was amazing. To make the experience even better, there was a live band playing, which created such a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Great wine, good food, a delicious frozen margarita, and live music made for a wonderful outing. I definitely enjoyed my visit and would love to come back!
