Location. Wine. Environment. Nonstop bustle. This venue is just hands down, beautiful. Stone Hill is a must visit when you're in town - do not opt out for the tour. This place has such amazing history, dating back to 1847. Stunning!

The restaurant was very neat...an old horse barn with the stalls converted to booth seating. We were very excited to try some of the German food since we seem to have less and less of those and it was delicious. The woman that waited on us was very friendly and we were in and out in less than hour as we were trying to make the 12:30 tour so that made us happy. The tour was free and very interesting. We learned some very interesting things we had no idea about. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

It was a nice little stopover. Paid for a tasting at the counter; they gave us a couple of tokens, and then we walked towards the back for the tasting. Wine was Ok. Service was friendly. We did purchase a bottle of the Old Vine Norton to try some time later.

The wine/gift shop is wonderful with many great options. The tasting room is fun. There are awesome cacti in the sunroom. Be sure to take the winery tour--it's worth visiting where they make the wine!

We had such a pleasant experience at Stone Hill Winery for a tasting and tour. Jill was THE BEST- I would highly recommend requesting her if you pay them a visit! The history on the tour was so interesting and we found a handful of wines we loved. We ended up buying 6 bottles but didn't notice until we got home that they gave us the wrong ones- that's really our only complaint. I also wished they had a better selection of merchandise!

Went for dinner which was after winery hours. Barn like setting , casual and welcoming. Made reservations for our group of six. Service was slow and we had to repeat our orders to the waitress as she lost our originals. We ordered some starters , cheeses, potato pancake for sharing. We're ample and good. Most of us ordered German dishes which were typical, like cutlets, potato salad, cabbage. Salads included with meal and bread / rolls service . Did not leave hungry. Medium prices. Wine by the glass very reasonably priced. Beer available.

Stopped by Stone Hill for a tasting while riding the Trolley in Hermann. The place is much bigger than anywhere else and their selection of wine is huge. Their wines were probably my favorite of the ones we tried in Hermann. Employees were kind, but nothing outstanding.

We arrived just in time for a free tour! Our informative guide escorted us to underground cellars and explained the history of Stone Hill+ prohibition era and what led to today's family continuing ownership. After tasting a few whites and reds, we opted for the Hellbender Blanc + a bottle of Steinberg Rose (we typically settle on red wine, but these two were the stars). We kept our stemless wine glass, a souvenir w/ the $15 tasting fee. Next: lunch at Vintage. The ruben sandwich was my favorite! Vintage is a gem among all the Hermann restaurants. ** Odd as it sounds, good ole Sharp Corner burgers are a close 2nd.

If you've only got time for one winery in Hermann, this is it. Great view. Plenty big. Good wine selection. Free tours. Paid tastings. $15. You choose 6 wines and you keep the glass. Stemless. The young lady who did our tasting was friendly. Minus one star because oyster crackers or saltines would have been helpful between tastes.

Great Lunch option in Hermann MO. We ordered buffalo ranch chicken sandwich, and the German Duo which includes half portion of schweineschnitzel, bratwurst, and German potato salad. We also enjoyed the bread pudding desert. Gluten free options and flexible with food allergies. Clean restaurant and good service. Thank you.

Wine tasting in a group is so therapeutic! The service here is amazing, everyone is friendly and welcoming. We love their wine, something here for everyone. Noted quite a few wines that are only available here at the winery. Very enjoyable time for all.

We went on the free Stone Hill Cellar tour and we loved it! What a unique history. Every employee we encountered at Stone Hill was pleasant and helpful as well. Their wine is also lovely and the view was gorgeous.

Stopped by Stone Hill for a vineyard tour and private wine tasting while at Hermann, Oktoberfest - $30 for the tour and tasting, which include a small snack dish... Thought that was very reasonable so two thumbs up. Our wine server, Jaye was awesome... She was really friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. As for the wines themselves, they were all really good and well-priced. Def recommend the Ozark Nouveau, which is a medium body red wine that's served chilled... It was outstanding and very unique. Stone Hill is worth the stop when in Hermann.

A great, informative tour. I enjoyed several of the wines in the tasting and purchased a few bottles to take home.

The Traminette was also pretty good -- sweeter, good for sitting outside and sipping during the summer.
