I was ill and bed-bound, and he took advantage of me. I needed mobile vet services, so I had him come out to my home to draw blood from a pet of mine who needed testing. I was very ill and had no one available to help me to take my pet to the vet. "Dr." Rosenzweig came off as super disorganized and was clumsy when drawing blood. He had a terrible bedside manner and (really) put my pet in pain when inserting the needle, making him cry and jerk. I'd paid him $1,600 for testing which is outrageous, but he insisted that it was necessary. I waited 3 weeks and tried to contact him. Left two voicemails, a text message, and two emails. He completely blew me off. He's completely immature and unprofessional. He wasn't gentle at all, and despite what others had said in their reviews, he DOES oversell his services, he isn't caring, he's egregiously callous, irresponsible, and flakey. Would never hire this kid again. He wouldn't even be a good vet tech, that's how bad he was.

All my dogs, over the years, have been comfortable when going there, and my current dog, Jenna, always wants to follow them in the back. I keep saying she wants a job there. After the cat was gone they have us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. Dr. Guazo had to shave some of his hair off his leg. She gave us the hair in a little square box to keep. A few days later we received a very nice sympathy card in the mail signed by everyone there along with a hand written note. As I said earlier, they were compassionate and caring, and also very sympathetic. I cannot recommend A Cat's Place highly enough.

Our elderly dog was on two expensive medications that needed renewal on a monthly basis. We used online pharmacies to make it more affordable for our family through coupons - but this vet office made it EXTREMELY difficult to get these prescriptions approved because they wanted us to use their (much more expensive) in-house pharmacy. No matter how many times I wrote emails and complained about this practice, every time I needed a prescription refill approved, their in-house pharmacy would deny it initially and then tell me to order through their in-house pharmacy. Then I would have to call the office and write emails asking them to approve the prescription through the online pharmacy. It was time-consuming and exhausting because it was over and over again. It also meant that there were week-long delays in getting our dog the medication she needed. I hope the office re-thinks this way of working. I know they are trying to make more money by keeping meds in house - but it just makes folks frustrated that they can't get their pets medication at an affordable rate - without a huge hassle.

We love that he does home visits, it's far less stressful for our cats and bird and takes less time and money for all our pets to receive their veterinary care on the same day in the comfort of our home. He also has a really nice office in Rock Hill with a great staff and two other veterinarians, both of whom we also really like. He is great with our cats and bird, none of which are the easiest patients. We value his veterinary services, and when we get farm animals (hopefully soon) we'll be glad to have him come over to see to all of our animals. He has been our vet for a few years now and has helped our senior cat through his serious condition and our cat has lived well beyond his expectancy with this condition, thanks to Dr. Joe putting him on all the right medications and overseeing his care closely - even when he is at his busiest he always makes time for our guy!

She quickly ascertained that these lumps (due to fatty deposits) are common in older dogs, which was a great relief for which I wasn't overcharged! Beyond that, the good doctor and her personable staff are very helpful, gentle, and patient with my somewhat skittish, rescue dog (who has calmed down enough so that she no longer needs a muzzle). Unlike another local vet, I am also allowed to stay with her throughout the examination, and that gives me immense peace of mind. Highly recommended!
