We have taken our cats and dogs here for about 15 years. We thought about changing because they are a little expensive but it's close to home, and they take such good care of our animals that I think we'll stay. The people are always friendly and helpful and seem to genuinely love animals. The boarding for your dog is also very good. I've had bad experiences elsewhere but this place is very good. Where would I start?? For me , getting out of this corrupt state.. bad bad bad experience years ago and if I gave details my animals may disappear. I've already lost 4 to a system that's going and gone horribly wrong. Veterinary all over NYS is going corporate so ger ready for high costs and bogus diagnostics that can run high on treatment.. the rescue industry is really going to suffer but the private equity firms will get filthy rich...for now.. until people give up on having pets..how sad and pathetic but this is the Peta agenda.. This I the second time I've been here with a rescue. Each time I've seen Dr. Bowser and have nothing but praise for her and the vet techs. They have been accurate with treatment plans, diagnosis, and really kind and gentle hands. Finding a vet closer to my house in Rochester was a STRUGGLE but I am glad I found Stone Ridge. I took my dog there for the first time and I will say it was a great experience for us. The facility was clean and check in was super easy. The doctor and vet techs were amazing with my (nervous) dog and helped him have a good experience even though he hates coming to the vet. My only gripe would be the check out process. I wish I was faster. We sat in the waiting room for an additional 10-15 minutes instead of just being able to pay and leave right away, which for a nervous dog at the vet was an eternity when he was ready to just get out of there. Overall though I am happy to be bringing my pets here from now on. read more

I wanted to take a moment to share our unacceptable experience today. Attached in the images is our full review limited due to characters. We have taken our dog here for a years experiencing nothing but mediocracy along with in my experience uneducated staff.. Upon observation it appears almost as if there is a revolving door with staff which appears to be a direct reflection of their owners lack of leadership. You will find they are one of the more costly vets in the area and in my opinion among some of the most incompetent in comparison to others. Our prior dog had a very bad experience when facing serious health issues in the past and was even called out by another local veterinary clinic, but we still mistakenly gave this clinic the benefit of the doubt to continue care for our pets. I highly recommend you experience this for yourself before bringing a beloved pet to their establishment. Inspect their staff and ask probing questions. You will quickly realize the lack of knowledge, experience, and empathy. Dig deep through their reviews and really analyze the negative ones and you will start to notice a common pattern that substantiates this across the board. Be extremely vigilant when doing your research on this establishment. There have been many occasions we have used them for boarding our pets only to have them come back home with severe Rashes after boarding. Today was the final straw with this establishment.. We have a terminally ill pet that we struggled to get in the car to his appointment today and called ahead to inform we were running behind due to his health challenges getting him in the car safely and upon arrival the vet turned away our dog which now could potentially have negative implications on his life. We were 18 min late to our appointment by the time we got in the parking lot and we immediately got a harsh response stating our appointment is canceled well knowing that our dog is severally ill. Meanwhile almost every single appointment we have had at this establishment myself or my wife have had to wait a bare minimum of 20-30 min as they are always running behind schedule appearing very unorganized. Not seeing our pet with urgent heart issues is appeared to be due to the vet needing to leave right at 2pm. Just ask yourself is this the type of behavior you want from someone that should be helping you fight for your pet's life? Have you been a customer that experience something remotely similar? Well, it's not too late to leave this establishment for good like we did today to seek better deserved care for our pet. We have watched this practice over the years under deliver and continuously digress. This was the final straw as I believe it is a direct conflict with the Hippocratic oath they took with the American Veterinary Medical Association. As a clinic they collectively took the same pledge to look out for the health and welfare of our pets under their care which I whole heartedly believe they violated today. There was no empathy or care for our pet upon arrival and highly encourage any current clients to seek alternative care before it is too late, and you are in a situation like we faced today. It appears from first glance on google they even may have had employees leave glowing reviews which is a direct violation of googles terms in condition along with soliciting positive reviews as we have personally been asked to leave not just a review but specifically a "positive review" in the past which is also a direct violation of google. I am not one to write bad reviews but bring this to your attention with the sole purpose to hopefully save the well-being of other local pets in the area that are receiving similar lack luster care. wanted to update my one star rating.... after bringing in a stray cat to add to the cat I already had as a client, they wouldn't pass a message to the owners that we found which was pretty inconsiderate since we were hoping to help the owners with things we had bought for the cat thinking he would be staying with us. But after several calls and inconsiderate , including one that actually hung up on me without me even being rude in any way YET! But then they took it upon themselves by having people send in photos from a Nextdoor conversation I was having about them from my prior rating, and from those photos took me off their clients before I could even send them any new place to send my cats information. this is how they do business, like little kids on Facebook blocking people they are having beefs with?! lol they are really beyond unprofessional and truly care absolutely nothing about the pets. read more

Absolutely the worst vet, New to the area from Nashville where people have manners and care. Not in Florida though!. The lady Doc was extremely uneducated in what was wrong with my cat, I knew more. didn't even take his temp or look in his ears Ears are the main cause! or give me antibiotics! The office was extremely dirty, the Floor was never cleaned, brown dirt in all the stick down old tile, and blood spots all over the floor ! I didn't want my cat to step in it. Extremely Rude, no bedside manner, They just want you to spend bucks to pad their pocket .Do NOT go unless you want a dirty office and spend Bucks then maybe they would like you..and smile. We recently started taking our puppy here, and so far I am disappointed. On the two occasions we've been here we've waited 30 minutes past the schedule appointment times. During the last visit, I waited at least 10 minutes in the lobby for a room to open, then I waited another 20min inside of the room before being seen. I then went to the desk and waited a few minutes to tell someone I had been waiting for over a half hour after my scheduled time. The two employees who met with our puppy were friendly. But waiting 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment is unacceptable. read more

After being a patient for 5 years, I am leaving the facility because I have been ignored and insulted for 5 months trying to get my dog a scheduled surgery (for a growth on his gums). However, it was nearly impossible as I was flat out ignored at appointments. When I would come in for follow ups the doctor would have no idea what I was talking about when I referenced the surgery. I originally came in for this in October. I was also ignored by the surgical team, after calling several times and requesting the surgery for months, they finally reached out and explained I needed to schedule yet another appointment for "blood work". I had to go to multiple pointless "follow-up" appointments for unnecessary treatment previously so I was already frustrated. Then, on my last visit for his blood work I was scolded and cornered by 3 nurses. They moved me and my dog all the way across the waiting room, and then had the 3 nurses stand in front of us with their arms crossed like body guards. All due to a single other dog walking out of a waiting room. I have been inside that building with 10 other dogs out and my pup I always well behaved and doesn't even flinch at another dog as he's a trained service animal. They then started trying to tell me how to handle my dog (after making us move all the way across the waiting room). Oh, and we had already been waiting for 30 minutes. My dog was perfectly well behaved, sitting in front of me like the trained service dog he is. This was the last straw. It made me and my pup very uncomfortable thus we will no longer continue using this facility. I wanted to let anyone and everyone I can know how this vet will treat you during any kind of medical emergency. I had been going to Stroneridge for 5 years previously and have just required normal check ups. It's clear to me that they'll prioritize basic check ups, pushing unnecessary medications and vaccines, over saving a life. Simply put, it has made the last few months even more rough, dealing with their lackadaisical approach to a possibly life threatening condition my dog has. I have been nothing but patient and kind while Stoneridge robbed me blind for unnecessary appointments and completely ignoring my original request to have the growth taken care of. I was scheduled for the blood work 5 months after requesting surgery and testing to be done on this growth. I just pray that by telling my experience that the next patient will actually get the treatment they need in a timely fashion. Our pets are our families, and should be treated as so. My new vet requested my dog's vaccine/medical files. Surprise surprise, I am still being ignored as its been almost 2 weeks since I called/emailed to have his records sent to me. I even offered to come into get them and they keep saying they're working on it or that they're in transit. Different answers each time. I've called 3 times and sent 5 emails now to no avail. I hope this review reaches any dog owner in need of serious medical attention as I would avoid this facility for anything other than routine check ups at all costs. read more

I had an appointment scheduled but once put into the exam room the wait time was over 45 minutes, this time along with every other time I have visited. My dog is medicated to come in to the visits and waiting that long for an anxious dog is unrealistic. I complained to the vet about the wait time and she (Dr. Pauline Bowser) with a smart attitude said "would you be this upset if it was a doctor's appt for yourself?" YES, YES I WOULD! They do not care about your pets needs and only tried to keep selling me stuff. Then today in the mail I got a letter stating "It seems they can no longer fulfill my veterinarian needs and they can no longer retain me as a client at their practice." What a joke, they kicked us out as a client because I was unhappy with the wait time! I would not recommend this practice ever!!! read more

There are other comments also of other negative reviews being deleted. ------- Disappointed- I had been taking my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel here for the past 3.5 years. Never had any issues and always thought my pup was getting the best care. 12/16/21: I brought Millie in for an exam because she was reluctant to jump up or down and use the stairs. She was seen by Dr. Fan. I asked her to check her anal glands because that can be often times the culprit. She said they were fine and chalked it up to her not feeling well and offered blood work could be done. $160 later for exam and blood work- still not jumping. A week later, Millie goes to doggy daycare (Paws and Claws- amazing) and I asked the groomer to check her glands and express if needed. She called me saying the glands were "quite full and a lot came out". Millie was no longer reluctant to jump or use the stairs. A $15 anal gland expression by a groomer solves the problem and not a DVM. At the same time, I was also looking into finding a DVM who had specific knowledge of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel because of all their potential health issues. 1/5/22: Millie has a wellness visit with Dr. Murphy at Westside Animal Hospital (30+ years experience and has had cavaliers of his own!). He comes out minutes later (still curbside) with 2 cotton swabs covered in black/brown. She has yeast infections in both her ears and had been going on A LONG TIME per Dr. Murphy. I don't want to think that Millie has not had the best care in the last 3.5 years. There has been DVM turnover at Stoneridge. It's unfortunate because everyone including office staff is friendly, but friendly doesn't keep my dog healthy :( read more

My family has taken our pets here for about 30 years since they were located on Fetzner. The care and staff have progressively gotten worse. They are unable to handle large breed puppies. I have a 6 month old German Shepherd. I was told by a tech that spent about 2 minutes with her she was uncontrollable and untrained. Unable to take a blood sample for her upcoming spay surgery. I asked to see the doctor and was told no. I asked to help calm her, she is not savage and has never been mean or vicious, I was just given a weird look. I was told I could drug her for next visit, which I didn't like the sound of. I agreed and sat in the waiting room. The tech then came over to give me a summary. She then said in a snotty tone " I didn't like your little comment". What comment? I don't know, I guess when I said Do you want me to help with the blood sample. I then raised my voice and said what is your problem and I was leaving and would not be back. I have now given up my spay appointment that I made when my pup was 8 weeks old. I called back after I had left to get the name of the girl who gave me a problem and I was told they don't give out names? what. They are a bunch of clowns working there, its not like it used to be when they employed professionals. Green and purple haired clowns including the doctors. Took my dog there for an infected cut I knew there was one on his leg. They took him in back for exam and when she came back I was told there was no problem and my dog was not lame. It cost $97, when I got home dog was still limping. So I was checking him out and found the vet miss a cut on the dogs pad it was 3/4 inch long and 1/4 inch deep and infected. I think the young vet was afraid of large dogs and didn't do a thorough exam. When she came in the room the first time she held her hands out like she was unsure. I last posted about a year ago when I had to have my cat, Bodie, put down. Yesterday I needed the same service for my beloved pet cat, Hobbes. I had her for 17 years and she simply was too sick and in too much pain to carry on. Once again the staff and Dr Blair were exemplary with the treatment and, ultimately, euthanasia of the my pet. My dog Zeus was a patient here and we recently left because of the internal customer service and processes of this facility. The office documented instances that were untrue and when I called to speak with the person in Client Services who has the responsibility to work through customer-related issues, she said that their system puts the nc/ns in automatically. I told her I understood that but when I called to provide narrative around the issues, it was as if she hadn't heard a word I said. Zeus was scheduled for a fasted test, he ate food and I called them as soon as they opened and brought him in the next day fasted. Although I called to explain that he had eaten that morning, it was documented as a nc/ns. Zeus was scheduled for a deep teeth cleaning and to be neutered. The Dr. called me the day before to postpone the procedure in favor of him being referred to an actual dentist to pull his tooth. Although it was the Dr. who suggested postponement for an issue that hadn't even been determined necessary (tooth-pulling) it was considered a nc/ns. Finally, they made an "appointment" just for me to speak with someone, I talked with them over the phone instead. They documented this as a nc/ns. Seeing as though they did not consider any of this before all of the misrepresentation, I decided to leave and find a vet that would welcome my family member and treat our family with dignity. The new vet called to say that Stone Ridge transferred our file and told them that I had no call no shows on my record, furthering slandering my name making it difficult to have a good relationship with the new vet. This is not the end of this but it will suffice for now. read more

We never have a problem getting an appointment when we want. Drs. Martini and Smith care for all of our animals as if they were their own. They are kind, compassionate, caring, and professional. I moved to Greece in 2012 and brought my dog here and then got cats a year later. I find them to be pricey and pushy about doing more interventions than I feel is appropriate for an older dog. I started to have aggression issues with my dog and came to them for help they put her on an antidepressant that did not help with her aggression towards children. After attempting behavioralist and trying to figure out what to with this dog who is aggressive towards my own child. The dog continued to become more aggressive towards my child and did bite (thankfully didn't break skin) but this was the last straw and forced me to make the hardest decision I have had to make in my life. I decided to have her euthanized. I had an 11:50am appointment. When I arrived no room was opened so we had to wait. Then finally got into a room where we had to wait 30 mins to have the veterinarian come in to make me second guess my decision. Then the lady came in for me to sign papers and she was mosey about why we were putting her down and made me feel guilty about everything. This was an awful experience. They made the already hard situation for me worse than it needed to be. I do not recommend taking you pet to be euthanized. read more
