    Mac n Cheese

I finally arrived! I googled this place over a year ago and I finally enjoyed Brunch. I really enjoyed the ambiance, service and food. I had chicken and waffles and mac n cheese. The main dinning room can be a little loud but not enough to deter the mission. Next time I will definitely reserve a swing table! Kudos

Came here with a party for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Place was made for pics, so very aesthetically focused. Service was good, food came out way faster than I expected. I got the maple glazed chicken, which was essentially chicken and French toast. It was spectacular!! The French toast was quite literally the thickest I've ever had, but still cooked through and soooo good! The fried chicken was also cooked well and not dry. The hot sauce and honey worked great together and only used a tiny bit of syrup for the end of the French toast. Would definitely come back and not sure how I'd try anything else, because that dish is a must!!!

    Cajun Pasta Trio with salmon

Been to south house many of times. Unfortunately it is not as good as what it used to be. I ordered the Cajun pasta with salmon. It did not look as advertised. In the picture it was penne noodles instead of fettuccine. The taste was good but could've used more Cajun seasoning. The service was good. I was able to order my to go order as soon as I walked in. And I got a drink from the bartender. She was very friendly and welcoming. The price of my drink when I paid vs the price on the menu was different. It was more expensive as always. The ambiance was decent. Not too many ppl there on the weekday. I wish they would bring back the DJ and the games they used to have. I think it would a nice addition. Overall, it was a good experience.

First time here and I am impress with this place. Huge interior and some outdoor seating! Very nice seating for those that enjoy aesthetics and taking pictures. A great place for brunch and birthdays. Their menu looks really good. We only came to hangout and wasn't really too hungry but I did browse the menu to check what they offer. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I would like to visit this place again!

Food- HORRIBLE!!! Took very long, sides came before main entrees. Appetizers came after entrees. Ambiance- 3/10 Renovating area so everything was all over the place. We were sat in a very hot setting and when asked to open doors, we were ignored. NEVER RETURNING.

I love the esthetic of this restaurant! This is a great place to host your next birthday party , date night or girls day. This place is pretty big and they have multiple sections for your party. They have a section with swings as seats, they have a section with high tops and the main dining area with low seats in the back area. There are pool tables and games. The bar is long and also provides bar seating. They play great music! The bathroom is full decorated as well and clean. The food now was amazing! The shrimp and grits and the potatoes app. They also have half and full size towers for margaritas with a variety of flavors! You can also pick out what liquor you want mixed in. Definitely recommend this place! This is also a beautiful place to take pictures!

I visited south house with my friend for a brunch date. The inside is your typical flower wall aesthetic however it was pretty and I loved the swings inside, very cute. We were seated at a high table and I'm assuming there was an issue with the ac unit being water dripped on me the whole time. We ended moving our seats at the same table and the water still managed to splash on me. I ordered the avocado toast and the Mac trio. Avocado toast- 3/10, the bread was mushy and the avocado didn't seem fresh. Mac trio- 9/10, better than I anticipated. Ultimately, I would definitely return, cute brunch spot.

South House Garden is huge! I didn't realize how large the space is until I went to the bathroom, but not only is there a large bar area with lots of bar stools, there is also a number of high tops, some tables with swings that you can sit on, and a few pool tables in the back. I can see this being a nice spot to catch the game as well. Keep in mind that this restaurant is basement level, and the train tracks run RIGHT by the windows. We ended up here for their happy hour, which runs through 7p on Friday. It's a pretty good deal, which offers discounted pricing on their apps and half off the towers. We ordered the birria tacos, two types of wings, salmon egg rolls, seafood dip, and a full margarita tower (with a mango/passionfruit mix). I enjoyed all of the apps, with the exception of the BBQ wings, which tasted like fast food wings. The mix in the margarita tower was a bit too sour for me as well - I think next time, I will try sangria. I do like that they give you the option to mix multiple flavors in the tower. Aside from the food, the service was a little spotty as well. The waiters and bar staff were pretty friendly, but they weren't always available when we needed them and the food either came out piecemeal or went to the wrong table a couple of times. However, happy hour is definitely a good value and the items we had were solid both taste and temperature-wise. I would absolutely come back for HH. I look forward to checking out brunch too.

Great place for intimate dinners or big groups. The dining area is vast, with ivy on walls, flowers hanging from the ceiling and white brick interior. The bar area had a swing and plenty of counter and table seating. Menu was American comfort and southern food. We were a large group celebrating a double birthday. Service was very accommodating and professional (even comped the birthday guests a free shot). We shared some appetizers and had drinks. The margarita had the right balance of fruitiness and alcohol taste (not watery or syrupy). The giant pretzel was filling with the right amount of chew (and not too salty). It cans with honey mustard dipping sauce. The crab cheese dip was service with warm tortilla chips and had lots of crabmeat in each bite with soft cheese and old bay flavor. Will have to try their entrees next time.

Came here for a birthday brunch! Parking - Parking lot can be limited. There is an overflow lot, otherwise, there is free street parking across the street This place is a "content creators" dream! Beautiful decor with your IG pics lol Restaurant was quick to set up the tables for the large group There is a bar area also. Bathrooms were clean Mimosa towers were cool. Water is also placed in these towers. I ended up getting the Chicken & Waffles, since I rarely do. And I'm glad I did. The Chicken was SOOOOOOOOO good. Fruit was tasty and fresh. Waffles were good I also had an old fashion. Strong, tasty Music was a mix of chill, today's music, line dancing (Tamia, electric slide, lol. etc.) Def. check this place out!

Beautiful decor and good service! The bathrooms need a bit more upkeep during brunch though. We visited on September 1st. A few of us indulged in bottomless mimosas. Others got different drinks off the menu. Service was a bit slow but the music got us by. Not pictured but the salmon deviled eggs would win against the shrimp every time! We got multiple orders. I got the surf & turf mac as well. The mac was the perfect amount of cheesy, if not more. And the lamb was cooked perfectly. We had a good time. There's also a jukebox inside so your party can play some music.

Love the salsa bar -- the salsas taste fresh and there's something for everyone. If you aren't vegetarian the chicken is tasty and the chicken burrito is a safe, decent choice. Overall Negatives: This is not a great place if you are vegetarian. I know they have veg items but they don't get the same attention to flavor and quality that the non-vegetarian items get. That's why my husband rated his chicken burrito higher than I rated my veggie tacos. We had more misses than hits here. Chicken burrito: minimal beans, lots of rice and pulled chicken that both had great flavor. A marginal hit, just really needed some texture because a tortilla filled with just chicken isn't a great burrito. Its's a "just fine" burrito. Veggie tacos: barely any beans or rice. Mostly big chucks of avocado (weird to not dice it) and sliced tomato and onion (again weird -- just dice it). All topped with a dairy bomb of sour cream and queso fresco that caused the whole taco to lose its structural Integrity. Desperately needed lots of salsa for flavor because nothing else had any. The thing is, you can make rice flavorful. You can make beans with flair and fun and taste. They just don't here. Disappointing miss. Nachos: good chips, good cheesy sauce. Barely any beans again and the big slices of avocado, onion, and tomato (about the size you see on a burger) made it difficult to eat anything but the chips and cheese sauce. Not "nachos" and definitely not a hit for us. Unfortunately this just wasn't for us. It's great to have stuff on your menu that accommodates different types of diners but it's important to actually show the "other" food equal attention to quality and flavor.

I've been coming here for years, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and you always know you're going to leave happy. I'm originally from Honduras, and one of our staple dishes... arguably THE staple dish... is the baleada. A fresh flour tortilla filled with refried beans, cheese, and crema, with the option to add extras like eggs, avocado, or different meats. I knew this had to be where Kyler experienced his very first baleada. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Kyler isn't the most adventurous eater, so getting his stamp of approval is a pretty big deal. He's officially a fan for life! We were there with my mom, and all three of us ordered some variation of a baleada along with pupusas to share. I also had to introduce Kyler to our version of horchata, which is different from the Mexican horchata he was used to. As an added bonus, we happened to visit during the World Cup, and the energy in the restaurant made the experience even more fun. Between the familiar flavors, sharing a piece of my culture with someone I love, and the consistently great food, this meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip back to Maryland. If you've never had a baleada before, let La Casita be your introduction. You won't regret it.
