I went in to Stone Werks today with my four young sons to get my wife's dad a birthday gift. I can not attest to taste, as I did not eat anything, but the owners are about the friendliest people in the world. My wife called ahead of time to ask about a menu to streamline going in a shop disabled with 4 kids. August was very helpful telling us where to park to accommodate my handicap. My kids, however, can attest to taste. They all said what they tested was very delicious. The owners were so friendly to me and my kids, they packaged up the gift with extra care and attention. They talked about how they donate 10% of their profits to veteran's groups, and were just very genuinely nice people. I really appreciate people being friendly to my children. Grant it my kids are typically well behaved, but still sometimes other businesses bulk at kids in the shop. Not Stone Werks, they were so friendly and talked to my children like they were actual people! I also appreciate that even though they were welcoming to my kids, the atmosphere is sophicated and would be a nice quiet place to read a book, drink a coffee, have a cupcake. It is a nice little shop, I will take my wife next week for a date. I don't see how anyone could regret stopping by, the best shop in Boonsboro. Black velvet cupcakes, vanilla brown sugar iced coffees, and the kindness of the owners and employees changed my life. I've never been a "regular" before, anywhere. Even when I was only coming in once a week, August, Elisabeth, Calli, and Billy knew my order. I'd often get wide faux-shocked eyes when I switched up my plain coffee freeze with whip for something else. There was one day when I was having a particularly rough day, and all I wanted was a black velvet. They appeared to be out, but August pulled a fresh-from-the-oven cupcake from the back for me. I thought this kind of friendly, feels-like-home coffee shop vibe was a made up thing you only see in movies. Elisabeth and August are so genuine. Calli has such a lovely and sweet demeanor that really makes you feel taken care of. Billy makes you feel like you've been friends for years. Their baked goods are delightful. Their coffee is 100 times better and more fairly priced than any garbage you can get at Starbucks. But the atmosphere and environment are beyond compare. They go above and beyond to support Veterans & Veteran Owned Businesses, Feature LOCAL Businesses by offering their products at the bakery, Give Back to the Local Schools & they provide a Pet Friendly environment. I have had the pleasure of watching Stone Werks start with just a married couple starting a new Journey & grow: hiring their 1st employees, expanding hours, enabling more custom/special orders, offering more outdoor seating, etc. I have & will continue to recommend Stone Werks Coffee & Sweets to EVERYONE!! I really enjoy stopping by StoneWerks Coffee & Sweets in Boonsboro. It has the feel of a true neighborhood coffee shop -- great coffee, friendly people, and a comfortable place to sit for a while. The coffee is always excellent, but the "sweets" part of the name deserves just as much attention. Their baked goods are not an afterthought. You can tell real care and skill goes into them, whether it is something simple to go with your coffee or one of their more creative treats. It gives the place the feel of a small-town bakery and coffee shop rolled into one. What also stands outs to me is the way the owners and staff treat customers. You can tell they care about regular customers, new visitors, and the community around them. Boonsboro is lucky to have a place like this. I definitely recommend stopping in. read more

We are so glad we spotted this place. We had the cheddar quiche and cinnamon rolls. Both were fresh and perfectly heated. First, the quiche - warm, cheesy, fluffy but firm, and best of all NO gross pastry crust! Perfection. Second, the cinnamon roll - best cinnamon roll either of us has ever had. And we have had some good homemade rolls. Light, perfectly buttery savory with oodles of well blended sweet glaze, not a bit of sugary crystals. Wonderful flavor combinations. To top it all off, the staff/owners and atmosphere (even in covid mode) was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended and worth a detour off the highway. read more

Not only is this place just pretty to look at on Main Street, and the treats delectable, but the owners are so extremely NICE. I went in with my friend after the gym this morning and casually mentioned it was my anniversary- well, then they wouldn't charge me for the macaroons and said it was their gift to me and my husband! How incredibly nice is that!? I've had a cupcake. flourless brownie, and coconut macaroons so far. All were amazing!! If you're ever in Boonesboro, MD, stop in at Stone Werks Coffee + Sweets...I'm not a coffee drinker, but my hubby says it's quite good; bold and smooth with no bitterness (and he is very picky about his coffee). They do offer teas and other great drinks. The sweets they create and bake (now that's my thing)...best sweets I have ever had at any bake shop (and I've been to quite a few). I've lived in Boonsboro for about 4 years, and I've always loved this place. I've always been treated with respect by tbe staff, and today I was ordering a hot cocoa when my server told me it was on the house. It was super kind of her and thats what inspired me to write this. We love coming here on Saturdays with our daughter. Not only are the cupcakes and other desserts amazing and unique, Elisabeth and August are always so nice, going out of their way to make every visit as wonderful as our first, especially for our daughter. Elisabeth made a Tres Leches cake for my wife's birthday recently and it was the best we've ever had. We are so lucky to have them here in Boonsboro. You have to try them out. read more

This is by far my family's favorite place! The prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality of their baked goods. Everything is made fresh daily. The owners are so nice and welcoming. Went there for the first time today and fell in love! The service was so friendly, they even asked about allergies! I got a special coffee, toasted parm truffle bagel and two amazing cupcakes!
