    Comfortable waiting area
    Nancy B.

My husband is having his third eye surgery in the past three years performed here today. The first one was a couple years ago and the last was two weeks ago. Each has been as pleasant an experience as one can have concerning day surgery on your eyes! They're prompt each time, not making us wait very long, the facility employees are kind and caring and it's kept very clean. I'm not surprised that an excellent ophthalmologist like Dr. Singh would choose to do surgery at such a nice facility. I would recommend this surgery center to my family & friends certainly. This morning when we arrived I saw that the waiting room TV had FOX news on so I asked that they change it to their normal, uncontroversial station choice of HGTV and the nice young woman behind the desk changed it without hesitation.

To LIZ my wonderful nurse. I'm absolutely blown away by the care this hospital has given me. I'm a nervous wreck trying to stay positive. Liz is hands down the best nurse I've ever experienced and met. She is literally what everyone dreams of when getting assigned a nurse. Someone who truly cares, keeps it real and extremely passionate. Doctor Chan I believe performed my leg surgery and I couldn't be more impressed. Thank you to this phenomenal staff for caring so intently for me during this rough time. You guys are so awesome. Sincerely, thank you so much. The entire staff is goated! Liz, I hope the best things that life has to offer happen for you. You were my guardian angel this time around. Update, I was moved to non critical after a day of treatments and care. I was taken on by a different nurse Tristan. He is incredible as well. Really awesome guy that is easy to connect and feel safe with, love him too. Just so pleased with my experience here.

I was here for a procedure that requires an overnight stay in the critical cardiac care unit. In recovery I had Larrice as my nurse. Amazing! caring, pleasant, and very well educated in her position. I was eventually moved to the cardiac floor. where I had Micks, Caesar and Kim. Wow not one, but three highly skilled yet pleasant nurses cared for me. A huge thank you to all four of you. amazing.

Dr Wu was very helpful and knowledgeable yet personable. Dr Patel is definitely charismatic, personable and helpful. The nursing staff were genuinely caring especially Yessica, Haylee, Sherilyn. Sherilyn took care of me with zero signs of annoyance every time while rapidly assisting me and genuine cared for my well being as a person. When I vomited, she was patient and genuinely caring. She rapidly yet constantly provided me with food when I asked for food after no solid food for approx 24h. Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. So Yessica I would say: efficient, patient, professional and a true patient advocate (aka nurse). Southern Hill is very fortunate to have her. Would I return as a patient in need. Yes.

They went above and beyond to take care of while we were there at the hospital. Dr Gibbs explain everything to her fullest, the nurse Kay & Jessica went above and beyond in making sure that we were comfortable, Carl and Adriana and another filipina cna also went above and beyond not only did they care they made a smile they gave us conversation they made us feel comfortable, even the staff janitorial people that came in also went above and beyond. It didn't feel like you were at a hospital it felt like you were in a hotel the five star. Not only did they take care of the patient they took care of the parent. They have sandwiches for people who stay overnight all you have to do is ask if you're hungry they'll give you drinks and soda pillows and blankets all you have to do is ask they actually care about you if you don't ask you won't know what they'll help you with. Some people don't like hospital food but it's actually great that they make personalized food for people with food issues. Also if you pay in advance it's only $5 for someone who stays the night with the family member there or friend. Every meal is $5 if you pay an advance in the cafeteria you'll be able to order your food with the love one that you're with at the hospital at the same time. A lot of the doctors and nurses did not know that and CNA but they do now on level 5 and level 6. There was other doctors and nurses and CNAs they came to visit even though they did not know us and they went above and beyond and they were very kind and polite. It was a bittersweet sorrow that we ended up checking out we said goodbye to everybody gave everybody hugs and we now keep in touch with them they are very good and wonderful people and the next generation of nurses with the confession that they have at summerlin I'm proud to say that the amount of nurses that we met in CNAs are wonderful. They have the tools of being compassionate caring concerned all at the same time. Also treat people the way you want to be treated and some people will go above and beyond for you especially in healthcare. And if you experience someone that is not helpful you can always have a second opinion in the hospital. Just because you're in the hospital doesn't mean you have to be afraid to speak up just don't talk down there's a difference. I would recommend all families with gastro issues and with children to come to this hospital. This is the only hospital we ever go to and we have never been treated badly and over the years it's been excellent even more than I ever expected. It was wonderful when they first opened their doors and it's still wonderful now they do get overworked but just work with them and they'll work with you. And when they're doing a good job it doesn't hurt to say thank you for helping me you did a really good job because it actually gives them more motivation to do the best that they can always. Regardless if it's their job. But if they're not there's always the charge nurse which we did meet and she was wonderful too we even told her we love your staff you guys have a dynamic that I've never seen before. Thank you summerlin hospital staff and ER you guys did a wonderful job and hopefully we won't have to come back but if we do will come to summerlin! But don't take my word for it if you need a hospital to go to try them and review it yourself you won't be disappointed or you might I don't know .

I heard them complain about other patients about pain meds. I came in for a different reason, and for the duration I have been here, I've listened and accepted what they've given me (which have had produced negative outcomes). When they've forgotten something, they then tried to tie me in to the blame since I also didn't remember it. Excuse me? I'm literally a patient. If someone checks in because they can no longer self manage their health, and it then becomes that person's responsibility to reach out for help, how are people like myself supposed trust I'm in good hands and for what reason am I asking for help, just to get backhanded with a finger pointing game? I can't get treated here anymore. They're being paid so much they can't relate to their patients, anyone outside of it. Very elitist behavior. It's dysfunctional. They're so detached. They don't have the right to pretend they made no mistakes. It's permeated the Healthcare field, the stoicism and bias seen here. I'm absolutely disappointed, can't even expect the basic levels of cooperation. For further context, I almost passed out. I experienced this feeling before, and wanted to address it. So I came in, and they look at everything else unrelated. The nurses don't seem to care about actually addressing the issues. Some of the equipment is outdated and broken, the lowest quality. There's no diversity in how patients like me would be perceived because of the culture here. I'm in the position of having to try and prove why I need to be treated. That's messed up.

Every time I've gone there, there are multiple homeless individuals openly living on the property. They're camped out on the stairwells, sleeping in corners, and just hanging around like they own the place. I've seen them sprawled out with blankets, shopping carts, and all their belongings blocking walkways and entrances. It's not occasional -- it's constant. I reported it multiple times to staff and even called public safety, and guess what? **They do absolutely nothing.** Zero enforcement, zero concern. It's like the center has a policy of "come one, come all" for anyone who wants to treat the property like their personal campground. I pay good money expecting a clean, safe environment to focus on my wellness, not to step over people sleeping on the stairs or worry about my safety while trying to enter or exit the building. The whole vibe is sketchy and uncomfortable. I no longer feel safe here, and I definitely won't be returning. If you care about your personal safety or just want a clean space, avoid this wellness center at all costs. They clearly don't prioritize safety.

We got there around 12:25, there was about two people in front of us but the nurse took me back like around 12:45. There was one senior nurse and then there was one who was in training both of them were super nice super sweet and just made a very uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. From there I was taken to a private room now this room is not available for everyone there are rooms with just curtains but because of my specific condition I did get a more closed off room. From there I had a male nurse coming in he was also extremely nice and really funny which once again made an uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. I'm glad I went to the ER because I also found out I had a bladder infection which I was not aware of. the only reason I'm not giving this a five star review is because of the doctor itself. I was disappointed that they did not have a female doctor just because my condition was in my genial area he did however bring in a female nurse, I think that her purpose was just to supervise because she just stood in the side and didn't put any input. The gender however was the least of my concerns that was just a preference that I would've liked. When the doctor came in he gave me the option of either cutting open the cyst or taking antibiotics. However he wasn't able to provide me with the benefits or disadvantages of either option he just said it's up to you which is really frustrating because I'm not the one with the doctor degree. I decided to go for the antibiotics because I did not feel comfortable him cutting me. After I made my decision the started to say that I would have a faster relief if he lets me cut it. And that if I wanna do antibiotics I have to follow up with an OBYN and all OBYN are booked. This is not his fault but I'm extremely disappointed with the fact that they don't have any OBYN on call. I feel like that's just such a lack of care for women. Especially considering how common the cyst are. Nevertheless he just made me feel like I couldn't find an OBYN with the side comments that he was making, and I was really disappointed that I am also his answers were it's up to you, knowing that I lack the medical knowledge and that's why I'm seeking it within him. I asked him if he had anybody that he would recommend me to his answer was there's nobody on call. I did find an OBYN that captured my attention on yelp and I mention that one he said that she's too popular that it would take forever for me to get an appointment. The conversation just feel very counterproductive. I was not impressed with the service from the doctor specifically. After he had examined me he went to write his report and I had a nurse come back to give me my antibiotics and prescriptions. I did have questions and concerns about how I should take my medication. What foods I should avoid and what foods I should encourage eating. What activities I can indoors and what activities I couldn't. The nurse said the best he could to answer those questions he unfortunately did provide some misinformation in some of them when I followed up with my primary. I just feel like the nurse is here should get more recognized and applied for the doctor because if it wasn't for them the quality of care and quality of service would have not been the same
