A few weeks after my monovision procedure, I experienced a complete blur and white haze over my right eye (which is my far-sided eye). I was unable to drive back home for 3 hours as my left eye can only see inches in front of my face. Frightened, I called and emailed the Center immediately explaining what was happening. I wasn't able to see anyone until the following week as the doctor was out of town. The following week, I met with Erin and explained what had happened. I explained my challenge with depth perception and I did not feel safe driving anymore, especially at night. She advised me that there are glasses for depth perception issues and to allow 3 to 4 weeks for my eyes to fully adjust. She stated my eyes were dry and gave me more gel drops. A few more weeks went by and I reached out to Erin asking about getting the glasses to fix the depth perception issue. I also asked about fixing my left eye to be in sync with my right eye to eliminate the depth perception issue as I no longer feel safe driving. She explained that the warranty will not cover fixing/reversing the left eye and to wait 6 months (after the procedure) before I can be evaluated for any kind of procedure. And I will have to pay out-of-pocket if Lasik were to fix/reverse anything even if my (or my familys') safety is at stake. So, I had my eyes tested for prescription glasses. The entire point of this Lasik procedure was to not wear glasses anymore. So that too is a failure. The initial meeting, the set-up and the procedure was good. After that, NO ONE CARES. I feel left out in the cold. I do not recommend the Monovision procedure! Additionally, I question my decision to go with The Lasik Vision Institute.

Agreed that I continue on with eye drops (a few different kinds), and my regimen was working well and needed to continue doing what I have been doing! Dr. Brimhall wanted to take me off of my NECESSARY eye gel at night. I have Sjogren's! I'm feeling blessed to now have a great Opthalmologist! What a relief! I went here years ago for LASIK surgery and I had a horrible nightmare experience! I had my surgery…read morescheduled and the day before I went in to get prepped and they told me I had extreme dry eye and gave my eye drops to put in every hour before the surgery, and they put plugs in my eye ducts, because they said the doctor could not operate if my eyes were too dry. That was the first red flags because I felt like maybe my eyes were too dry but they were having me use eye drops to "trick" the doctor into thinking my eyes were ok. When I went in for the actual surgery, I had to sing their waiver and when I got to the party where they weren't responsible for blindness or death, I started crying uncontrollably because I had a really bad feeling, and I felt pressured, and the nurses were frustrated I was crying because side it was drying my eyes out and if I didn't stop crying the doctor couldn't perform the surgery. After I experienced their rude and lack of compassion, I cancelled the surgery and left. I had to pay the non refundable deductible, but it was the best decision! I feel like they were forcing me to go through the surgery even tho I'm not a good candidate. I would be very wary of this office and their staff because they don't seem honorable

After having my eyes dilated I wound up in a small sitting room with 4 other people. They all had been waiting a lengthy amount of time. They took the next patient up who had been sitting there an HOUR! Three people now ahead of me. I decided it was not ok to wait around in this small waiting room and be treated as if my time was not valued. By the time anyone ( Dr. Ward) would see me the drops would have worn off and I eould be ditting for krngthy time. Y I have seen this type of backup in other doctors offices in Henderson and other states where I previously resided it. . It is over scheduling with no consideration to patients' time. Frankly, I have seen this in other cities in in other states. It starts to seem that patients' time is disregarded. Your time is being disregarded and is not treated as valuable. This type of scheduling is packing in as many patients as possible with patient time not regarded as being important. Also the time of any family member who drives you there and will drive you home as your vision is hampered from the drops. Your time is as valuable as a physician. It is insulting to be treated as less-than and just another number where your co-pay is taken and your insurance is going to be billed. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS LACK OF REGARD. And should you walk out because of the poor service and pathetic planning/ over scheduling do not permit the office to bill your insurance. This just keeps jacking up insurance costs. Either they bring in other doctors or adjust their schedule to be reasonable rather than be greedy. I will be letting my insurance carrier know I did not receive the proper medical service despite they took my $20.00 co-pay.
